I am hoping Michigan gubernatorial Democratic candidate Mark Schauer would give the state hope and change, with decreased poverty and jobless rates, reduced crime, better roads and bridges in the state, and a state with more freedom and patriotism. However, Rick Snyder is such a dumb nerd who sends Michigan jobs out of state and out of country and still has his plans set on a new bridge to Canada we don't need. We've already got the International Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie, the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit, the Blue Water Bridges in Port Huron, and the tunnel to Canada from Detroit. Another one to Canada would be useless anyways.

If you're a neutral voter, or even a conservative-minded voter, be considerate and think twice before voting a Republican candidate.

So then tell me.

How are more social programs and more government giveaways to special interests going to change anything?

Detroit is bankrupt, and a bottomless pit into which the state is throwing money in the forms of unending social handouts.

I agree that the new bridge, at this time, is a dumb idea, but so is handing out more taxpayer money to people who have no intention of ever even trying to find gainful employment.

I dunno, from what I remember building unnecessary infrastructure was a valid solution to unemployment.

In the case of the TVA, it worked on a couple of points, and in the end, seemed to have been worthwhile.

With the CCC, that may be a little more iffy, but it DID do more good than harm.

And now Mr. Obama is sending US assets back into Iraq.

Ain't Republicans wanting the president to do it? How is that story connected to liberism?

You need to pay attention to the news instead of just looking to start a flame war in other threads on here.

It was Mr. Obama himself who said that all options are on the table.

I'm not trying to start anything, just a question...

But I guess you don't see Republicans saying that the president needs to go back and take control of Iraq...

So, again, I ask you how is this connected to liberism?

Have you forgotten that two Republican presidents sent military in Iraq for the two wars or was it liberals that did it?

There have been calls from both sides to not let what was done before to have been in vain. And the original request for assistance came from the government of Iraq itself.

The only connection to liberalism is that Mr. Obama promised to get the US out of Iraq, and he did. Until now.

How about taking 15 or 20 thousand troops out of countries we should have left 40 years ago and get Iraq back under the control of the elected government so all our troops families who died there dont think there sons and daughters didnt die in vain. We should have left 15 thousand troops there while there government and there military got confident enough over the next decade. So many other countries around the world we dont need to be in anymore but we abandon one lickity split we put so much blood, sweat and treasure into that obama knew full well this was going to happen from the military advising him this would happen.

I will tell you where all the liberals went. So few can lie good enough anymore with the mounting illegal and bad decisions from our dear leader.

I'm sorry. I don't remember saying that Mr. Bush had not contributed to "the mess".

But. It was Mr. Obama who actively campaigned for office on "getting American Troops out of Iraq."

So when I am Commander-in-Chief, I will set a new goal on Day One: I will end this war. Not because politics compels it. Not because our troops cannot bear the burden– as heavy as it is. But because it is the right thing to do for our national security, and it will ultimately make us safer.

In order to end this war responsibly, I will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq.

And before Obama became president he wasn't really a "career politician", and I'm sure after his presidency he's going to retire from being a politician...

Bullshit.

That's right my friend. I am calling "bullshit" on that one.

What jobs did Mr. Obama hold before he was in the US Senate?

PS:

Count of US troops back into IRAQ is now up to 300

Because the truth is, you don't really want me to keep you in check on every little thing you post...

Actually, I do want YOU, the all knowing one, to check on "every little thing" and post content from somebody besides conspiracy mongers and websites who have no vetting on what they post and no accountability to anybody about anything, such as the various "leaks" sites.

I have NEVER claimed to be 'right' about anything except the fact that you swoop in bait and troll for angry responses.

And fine, call me a hypocrite. I'm ok with that, in some ways, I am.

Which would make you exactly what?

And, while we're fact checking instead of cherry picking, Mr. Obama graduated from Law School in 1991, he began working in politics in 1992 with Project Vote. From then on, he was in and out of the political environment greasing the wheels for his 1996 State Senate campaign.

Since then, he's never been out of politics.

Enough is enough. Let's all get along and stop this petty bickering. Ok?
