Which type of TV did you have when you were a kid?

When I came around, we had a vintage TV with those mahogany colored casings that's still black and white, only time I've seen it working is when my grandparents (RIP) watch sports.

I also had the same old Panasonic TV, not that exact model however. And I used to watch the same classic seasons of Spongebob Squarepants in my DVD collection.

We had an old black and white when I was very little and then my parents bought a console tv and we finally had color! There were no remote controls until I was a teenager, we had to get up and change the channel.

A monochrome television which could also receive radio broadcasts.

first TV? nothing nearly as modern as the one pictured. small, almost round screen on a box that sat on top of a table. WAY before remotes. 4 channels that you had to get up from your seat to change and adjust volume. ABC, NBC, CBS and public TV. and everything went off the air... maybe it was at midnight?

then we had a bigger TV. top half was TV and bottom was like a drawer that rolled open to reveal a turntable. I remember dad having a box of tubes. if TV acted up, he would just start switching out bulbs... hoping he would replace the one that was bad... he never turned off or unplugged the set before doing this.

then a big ass console COLOR TV.
