Witchcraft: Real or not? Good or evil?

i think it would be awsome if there were magic powers, of course they could be used for good or evil.

actually they say that it may be possible and that if humans learn how to use more percentages of thier brains unbeliveable things could happen!

No it does not! I am a witch and I do not believe in the devil. I believe in Gods and Goddesses. These are of Love, Justice, Fertility, Nature, etc.

Theyre are however White, Grey and Black Witches.

White - All good.

Grey - Do hexes - bannishing people/things

Black - Do spells to hurt people.

None of the above believe in the devil.

You must be deluded. There's no such thing as magic.

Thanks for that. But I know it is real as I have practised it for 7 years. If you don't believe in it fine. But don't go around insulting those that do!

And just for reference we do MagicK.

It's not something you wave a wand and say a few words. Witchcraft is a very powerful and complex thing.

The difference between Magic and Magick are:

Magic:

Magic is an illusion and can be better phrased 'stage magic'. Pulling a quarter from a child's ear is magic. Sticking swords through a lady in a box is magic. Disappearing acts are magic. On stage levitation is magic.

Magick:

Magick with a k is much different. Magick is performed by witches and occultists. You can have white magick or black magick, but that's up to the subject practising it. The addition of the 'K' is to symbolise a more 'magickal' word. K is the 11th letter of the alphabet with the number 11 thought to represent hidden energy.

Magick can be summed up as a religious form of prayers. Lady Sabrina, in her book,Wiccan Magick for Beginners, defines magick as a system of concepts and methods of using the subtle forces of nature to help the individual alter reality; to cause change to occur in accordance with will; the art and ability to manifest desire through an intricate system of symbols, ritual, and spell work.

Lady Sabrina must have been illiterate.

I'm still confused...please, enlighten me.

Why must she have been illiterate? Theyre are many Pagan authors who teach witchcraft.

What are you confused about?

There are a few questions to ask yourself before performing a spell or ritual.

1. What is my goal?

What changes am I hoping to see as a result of this magickal working?

How will my life be different? (Be specific. Picture the day-to-day impact of what you hope to achieve.)

2. Do I truly want what I am asking for?

Do I understand what I am asking for?

Will this goal solve the problem I think it will solve?

3. Is magick the best way to achieve this goal?

Are there other steps I could try first to achieve these changes?

What other actions will I need to take alongside this spell?

4. Will this magickal working be ethical?

Will it cause harm to someone else?

Will it violate anyone's free will?

You can do witchcraft alone - Solitary Witchcraft, or a part of a 'Coven' A Coven is a gathering of witches.

We do spells and rituals. We don't boil children in a couldn't or sacrifice animals.

Most of the rituals i've done are done at home or in the woods.

Here is a step by step guide on how to do a Wiccan ritual

http://www.ehow.com/how_2247497_perform-wiccan-ritual.html

Not all rituals are like that, some people don't cast a circle. I am heathen, most heathens don't cast circles but I feel it is important. Rituals differ as of personal preference.

The spellsI have done we're succesful.

I have done a love spell for my friend. He found the love of his life within a month of me doing it.

I have done several protection spells for myself and others.

Well Sam, magick is indeed different than what you see on TV and movies, or on stage at some magic show.

It is not physical power, it is not something you cast from your fingers to achieve the impossible. It is simple energy from our minds and body that we manifest into the real world to help make things happen, like love, protection, wealth, a good career, and for the black magick practitioners, injury, hatred, and (eek) death.

But witchcraft users also believe that whatever you do, will come back to you three times as worse (or good.) For example, a black magick witch casts a death spell on his/her enemy, that witch can experience that death but three times as worse, or a white magick witch who casts a love spell for a friend, may experience that love three times as who he/she casted it upon.

even if magic was real, it wouldn't be evil. that's like saying your tv or your microwave is evil. it's only an object. it can be used for evil, though. I don't believe in it. I don't think magic could exist in a world like ours.

Well I'm sceptical about the whole thing but can pull off some crazy things...

Also, about using the whole of your brain: You do, just not at the same time 'cause that'd fry it.

our world is filled with too muck gunk and gross and eew. in all the books yo read about lands filled with magic, do you hear about pollution and how awful the ozone layer is and all the problems that our world has? in my opinion, our world couldn't support magic because it's too bust trying to support us.

I've read some replies and sheesh, I feel like a lot of people are very judgmental.

I myself have dabbled with witchcraft and I can tell you:
1. No, I do not warship the devil nor do I stand for anything negative or evil
2. I believe in treating people and the earth with respect and love (what you put out will come back 3 fold)
3. I do not put spells on people nor I do I wish people hardships or anything bad
4. I believe there is a God and Goddess
5. I am spiritual but that doesn't mean I talk to ghosts or dead people
6. I am a strong believer in energy and being able to control you energy/moods can be very helpful
7. Yes I love herbs and I also enjoy my crystals

I think a lot of people are misinformed and I also think that people just associate the word "witch" or "witchcraft" to be evil when in fact it's actually the opposite. It teaches us to do to others what we would want done to ourselves. We learn that putting out evil will bring evil and the same goes for good. We believe in taking care and appreciating our Earth.

Who knows why we were taught to fear the witches but not those who burned them and abused them.

The magical stuff isn't real, but yes, witchcraft is. I mean, anyone can "practice" something. Doesn't mean it's real though. I practice the arts of manifesting endless money into my room. 😂

Let me know if the money fairy ever comes. I may have to start practicing the arts of manifesting endless money lol
