Yes, Words Can & Do Hurt People...

Lol you don't know me very well. You're still looking into that crystal ball of yours I see. I was bullied throughout grade and middle school. I was ostracized and called every name in the book.
I was bullied also growing up, so don't take that line of approach there.

We all deal differently in our own way. There's no solution to stopping bullying so we have to rely on ourselves. The best solution I've found to get past being bullied is to stand up for yourself, get over it, and toughen up. It aint gonna stop at high school. You're going to have people pushing up against you your entire life. I have people at my workplace who treat me like shit. No one gives a fuck how I feel about it. I just let it roll off my shoulders and go about my day.

get over it
I hate that phrase, especially when offered as advice. Yes, it's important not to let things get to you, but people need help, it's ok to need help. Not everyone can just "get over it" and be ok.

You and @Webster are confused & mistaken. I was not giving any advice. I was speaking from my own experience from being bullied myself.

Okay, say that to anyone who's ever been bullied and see what happens....

The world is a tough place and it’s your first test in this world to cope and survive in it. Hell if I didn’t get bullied as a 9 year old and have my dad make me take him to where he hangs out and make me face him to get my ass kicked I would have never have learned how to fight and travel the state in competition kickboxing in some of the most exciting times in my life.

Sorry, poor phrasing on my part, I didn't mean to suggest that you specifically were offering that as advice, just in general when people offer that as advice.

Oh, so fighting works, huh?

No wonder you love Trump; bullies and thugs think alike.

Damn straight fighting works!

First the bully knew I would fight back every single time and went for easier prey.

Second years later when I was 15 he joined my dojo and I got to kick the shit out of him with pads on and we became good friends, he got past his bullying personality by then.

I agree 100% that no one should ever be bullied and no one should ever have to go through it. I wish schools took it more serious. But sadly that's just not the world we live in. I wish I had good advice and a real solution, but I don't and that sucks.

How interesting last night’s Yellowstone demonstrated this conversation so perfectly when the two ladies went at it.

So many different learning lessons in that episode for the left and how they think.
