A great example of yo yo dieting is Oprah. She'd lose a fuck ton of weight and get real skinny and then a few months later she'd be back to being 300 lbs on national television 😀Lmao @ the name. I'm guessing you mean they go on a diet, take a break, then go again. As long as they're cumulatively decreasing their weight, the mentality is you first control yourself, then have a treat for sometime, then control yourself, and repeat the loop because it's much easier to be comfortable with dieting that way.
I'm guessing in those "off diet" periods, they also eat only junk or very tasty food, as this is solely for treating.
Wait so it isn't break dieting like I thought. That's just weird then. It's like if people don't know whether to call you fit or overweight, cause you keep switching back. Can't make fun and can't compliment. Did she comment on this phenomenon of hers?A great example of yo yo dieting is Oprah. I believe once you get thinner after being fat for a while, you don't go down that route again for quite a long time. Maybe you can be careless again later on, but only after considerable time has passed - I think /most/ people who've lost weight/went from fat to thin can commit fairly easily. Its because the diet people choose to do is either unsustainable (cannot do it long term) or people fail to realize that changing eating habits isn't a temporary thing, its a lifelong commitment.
You'd think that but I've seen the opposite so many times with people I know personally.I believe once you get thinner after being fat for a while, you don't go down that route again for quite a long time.
