What was your first date like?

Awkward to say the least. I didn't know the guy all that well but he seemed very nice. We had a nice dinner but he kept talking about his ex-girlfriend the whole time. Not knowing what to reply, I just kept quiet and let him go on and on. It was the longest dinner I've ever had. After dinner he took me home and asked if he could come in. I had had enough and just used the "I have a headache" excuse. Never called me again and that was just fine with me.

I haven't really ever had a date. Or not a traditional one. I always just hung out with girls rather than going out for a meal or something.

Yeah. Just never went on dates :P

Stolen from Urban Dictionary
Two people getting together for an activity when the possibility of romance between them has been broached but not ruled out. Since the exploration of romance is the purpose of a date, merely asking someone out on a date is sufficient to broach the subject. Dates may or not continue once a couple have entered into a romantic relationship.

Thank you for the definition (which I already knew). Now...tell me what I don't know.

What is your definition of a date. Give me specifics as to where you would go. Spare us and leave the bedroom out of your specifics!

Going out to a restaurant or the cinema with a girl you like to try and perhaps move from a friendship to a relationship.

I'd say going out with your girlfriend to the movies IS a date.

Anyway, I have no idea what my 1st date was like... Drawing a blank here.
