I'm with Jazzy and it's accurate for me too.

I used to vote " a party " but they are all rather useless. So now i vote for a " person " and hope that this person will make his or her party a decent choice in the future. But so far that hasn't worked out either too much.

We aren't political nut jobs here in Australia We go to the polls quietly & we accept results whether it be the party We vote for or not.
I'm a Neo-Marxist, although I am not as well read in the literature as I could be. Maybe one decade I will be.

I always thought you were a leftie.
The writing and theories of Karl Marx still provide the foundation of my political beliefs. Marxism however is a critique of the material conditions of the world and since his time the material conditions have changed. So while his insights and critiques of capitalism are still invaluable, they have been pushed in different directions. My political leanings come from both his writings and the writings of people who have been inspired by him. I am not sure if I answered the part of it you were asking about. But I draw from quite disparate sources to reach my political leanings. Unsurprisingly one of the primary sources is anthropological writings and understandings of culture and society,
I've had lefty views in the past but most of them were grounded in classical liberalism.
Nowadays, I am essentially a liberal; back then, not so much.
