The last time I called off sick I was in the ER with an EKG beeping at me.
Since it was still beeping, I was able to call my boss and tell her I'd be a little late.
The time before that, the orthopedist had just looked at the xray of my knee and laughed at me. According to him, your kneecap is supposed to be somewhere in the general proximity of your knee joint, not an inch or more above it.
Which is why when the lady in HR did my retirement paperwork, I had something on the order of 500 unused sick leave hours to cash in.

Haha I never skip even when I am sick. Unless I'm in bed and throwing up, I don't miss anything.
