Zimmerman "quiet and cooperative" in jail

Race is being brought up waaaaaaay too much in this case.



For example, the media was caught altering the 911 calls to make Z-man appear to be a racist, and they even invented the phrase white Hispanic so that it would fit their template. Funny thing is, Z-man tutored African-American kids in math on weekends, and he also joined a protest against cops killing an unarmed African-American guy.



They don't care about justice; they just want to fuel the flames.

It's not about justice anymore, it has become less about the tragedy and more about race. It has become a circus.



Reminds me of Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing. The tragedy was merely a boiling point for racial tension that was already there. Zimmerman has become another effigy for all that is racial violence, regardless of what happened that night. And like in the movie, I don't believe the public will rest until they see someone (obviously Zimmerman) burn for this.

George Zimmerman could be released from jail as early as today after Seminole County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester determined he is not a risk to the community, despite being charged with second degree murder.

He was granted bond of $150,000 on Thursday, less than the $1 million asked for by the state of Florida.



As the alleged killer's lawyers worked on the conditions and safety precautions of his release, it was expected that he would post bond at some point over the weekend.



Speaking at his bail hearing Zimmerman ,28, apologised to the parents of slain teenager Trayvon Martin today, coming face-to-face with the victim's family for the first time. He said: ‘I am sorry for the loss of your son… I did not know if he was armed or not.’



His attorney requested that bond be set at no more than $15,000 but the state of Florida argued it should be set at $1million. The judge eventually set bail at $150,000 meaning the second degree murder suspect can be released as he awaits trial.



Addressing Trayvon Martin's family directly Zimmerman said: ‘I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit older than I was.’



Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester set several conditions for Zimmerman's release, including that he must check in with the state every three days, and he will not be allowed to work in public, own firearms or do drugs.



Zimmerman’s bond hearing came as ABC News published a graphic photo showing his bloodied head the night Martin was killed, adding plausibility to Zimmerman’s story that the teenager bashed his head into the sidewalk.

Question: Do you think he should have been granted bail? Why or why not?

She's guilty and has had a fair trial. She left the house to go to the garage. She then went back inside and retrieved a weapon. Once she was outside she had removed herself from any danger of attack. Therefore, ( IMO ), the stand your ground law was null and void by her leaving. If she had the weapon on her at all times and never left, then the stand your ground law would have applied.

But the double standard being used by the group is interesting none the less.

I don't see the double standard as there is no proof that Trayvon attacked or threatened Zimmerman.
