Halloween

I like Halloween. It's actually one of my favorite holidays of the year. I know I'm not a kid anymore so I won't dress up and go trick-or-treating anymore. But I like to watch all the tv shows that come on tv or the movies that come out in theaters that are spooky in nature.

You do know to not bite them right away, right?
Oh yeah! Jk I know not to do that.

Do you get a lot of trick or treaters at your house?
Yes, we have trick or treaters.
How many do you usually get?

I personally get none as I have a notice in my window telling them no.

Halloween is also among one of my favourite times of year. I hardly ever get trick-or-treaters these days, I may get one or two if lucky but that's it.

I usually watch Halloween specials of various cartoon shows and anime around this time to keep myself in the spirit, and I may even play a few scary-themed video games as well. After Halloween's set and done, I tend to scour around for after-Halloween deals and discounts on candies and such.

Same here! The day after any holday is great for discounts :D

I used to love Halloween as a kid.

These days don't do anything for it really. Sometimes will dress up, usually if I work that day.

I am generally fond of Halloween but how I mark the day has evolved.

There was the period pre-child when I usually went to a friend's party or watched horror movies (or watched horror movies at my friend's party).

Then there was post-child when I either shelled out or took my son out

Then he progressed to going to parties instead of going out so I backed off on trick or treat as well.

Now he lives 6 hours away and is married so I usually just stay in my den and read some classic ghost/horror stories. Often something fromGhost Stories of an Antiquary by M.R. James or other writers of that vintage.

Maybe when grands arrive I will get back in the trick or treat game
