How many forums do you own?

Yeah for many years. Don’t even remember how long.
Did you restart it? It says that you joined your own forum in 2018. I remember it being around before I took a break from forums back in 2016.

I haven't owned a forum in a long time. The remains of Rapture is now a Tapatalk group thanks to Brandon and my original board disappeared into digital oblivion when SpreeBB went under in 2007. I am not fond of saying never but I don't see it all that likely that there will ever be a third board. I've seen enough of forums today that most of them end up just being ghost towns and not worth bothering. If forums had a bright future ahead of them brimming with potential for countless successful boards then Zetaboards/Invisionfree and Icyboards would have either never went under or been replaced by a competitor by now which hasn't happened.

1) Off Topix & Wober (Same forum / 2 names - General Discussion Forum)

2) The Island (General Discussion Forum)

3) Forum Advertizer (Webmaster / Promotion forum)
Oh I remember a forum I made a really really long time ago. I think it was called TV Talk, it was on a free phpbb host that doesn’t exist anymore. I think I only ever got 5 or 6 members and they weren’t very active. It was a entire board dedicated to TV shows and discussing them. I had fun learning the admin panel, creating forum/sub-forums, organizing and tinkering though. I think that might have been in like 2005? Not sure on the year.

I remember Rapture, it was where all the cool kids hung out. :P

Looks like you can buy their domain for $2595?

Yeah I had to a few years ago. Something got screwed up and I couldn’t fix it. And didn’t have the back up at that time.

I was wondering why I couldn't locate my account. Sorry that happened.

I used to own 'The Main Gate' but closed it due to lack of members. I now run 'The High Coast'.

How many forums do you own? (or owned in the past)
One currently, Conversations 2.

Previously....
-Alternate Worlds
-The Sci-Fi Station
-The Sci-Fi Station II
-the original Conversations

I own only one.

At the moment, only one is my Jcink resource board. I did have two boards on Jcink for a short period, but I re-combined the community forums back on my resource board instead of a separate board.

What were your other boards about?

Currently I only own one and a blog. I've owned around 7 or 8 throughout the past decade. :V I would lose interest, come up with a new idea, rinse and repeat. Now I'm sticking to this one I have now, it's based around video game challenges.

I am a co-admin on one but I don't own it. :p

Lol I guess my comment above didn't last long. I now own two forums. xD I still own that blog as well that I mentioned above, it's a Sonic blog.

Good luck on your latest forum!

Did you start/stop a lot of forums?
I had some that were good ideas that fizzled out fast, some that...well...had no forethought because I didn't know what I was doing back then :D. Others I wanted to see if they'd work and didn't. Two I ran for several years, and one went for 17 years, which was nice. That doesn't include the dozens and dozens of other forums I've helped as either a mod or co-admin over the years, lol. I've had my fair share of forum experience :D

No offence to anyone who owns more than one, but I have never understood the point in owning two or more forums as a root owner. As if it isn't hard enough to maintain and commit yourself to one board, why would you want to have your time divided in maintaining two boards ? It's against all odds imo. But for those who own two or more, explain please. :P
