Me too; seems ridiculous. Two or three visits ago I was just curious & asked the doctor that question. She was digging through the computer files & it seemed to get complicated so I told her it was just idle curiosity & "never mind". Seemed like such a simple, easy question. 
You'd think it would be, or at least just a mark in the file, but no...not something I've ever known in all this time.

Basically I can donate blood to just other individuals who are also AB negative but I can receive blood from any blood type (O, A, B or AB).
