Alcohol vs. Marijuana

Which do you think is better for you. Put aside that Marijuana is illegal, if you had the choice, what would you rather do? What are your reasons for doing so?



Let's not make this into a anti-marijuana thread, let's just talk about the facts about the two drugs.

Alcohol is both more destructive for your own health and society so the logical decision would be weed, however I like the effects of alcohol more most of the time. After smoking weed I'm the most inactive person ever which is not the best effect on a fun night out.

I pretty much agree with all Smooth said. Most Marijuana is nice and natural, less harmful and more enjoyable to do than drinking Alcohol.



Alcohol makes people do crazy things, Marijuana doesn't.



There are so many reasons why Marijuana is better than Alcohol.



I will personally never drink, I'd rather if i do anything take something which is natural and not man made.

I've seen people trip after using nothing but weed. Of course it was very strong weed from Holland, but still, it's a drug and it doesn't have the same effect on everybody. I've also seen too many downers, including a guy that actually started crying.

Of course there will always be some people who will do some bad things from it, all depends on how tolerant you are of it. But what i mean is, you never hear on the news Violence from Marijuana leaves two in hospital but you do hear a lot about drunken violence and things like that.

That's very true, when it comes to being a problem for society like domestic violence or driving under influence alcohol is definitely the worst.

Well a small glass of wine a day is good for your heart, but I suppose we are talking about people doing either one excessively? They are both bad for you but I agree that alcohol is worse. Strange that the worse drug is the legal one.

See, the thing is responsible use of either doesn't really have any negative effects. If you're binging either, well alcohol is obvious in it's effects. Being high outta' your mind doesn't necessarily have any implicit effects unless you want to try and do something that requires any sort of clearness of mind - I wouldn't suggest getting stoned before exams, say, lol.



I'd say they're about even, but something burning inside your body is going to leave effects no matter how little of it you use, and thus the edge to me goes to alcohol.

I personally wouldn't like to see it legalized, or not at least legalized for the government to be able to sell it, because they will put chemicals and other things like that in it.



If it were legalized i would like people to be able to open up their own shops so people can buy from them with ease.

Depends who you are dealing with, but I'd much rather have some dried grass or dirt weed in with Marijuana than some toxic chemical which could kill you, just so the companies can get you addicted to it.



Besides, if you buy bud you can't actually get any fake stuff, unless they add some lesser quality bud to it.
