Do you like Alfredo sauce?

Being half Italian, the obvious answer is a BIG yes! I make my own and it's yummy!

I made some pasta (farfalle) and put in some Alfredo sauce and chicken breast.

It was good except the fact that I put in too much pasta. The whole thing was kind of flavorless due to excessive pasta.

Oh well, nothing a little good salt & pepper wont fix.

Yes!

I like pasta a lot but Alfredo sauce does have cheese so not for me only for this reason
So many tasty things that have such a variety of cheeses. Do you have an actual food allergy to cheese or a strong aversion?
(I expect that does help with weight control though!)

I always wonder myself what it is and i can not have most of the dairy products the only cheese i can eat a little is feta cheese the rest it is more worse.
milk is the most weird i can not drink at all .... i will be sick quick but i have no problem with sweets that have milk
even when i have ice cream always have little if i get a lot (what is normal to most people) then i will be very uncomfortable for few hours
i still haven't figured out what it is .

I know almost nothing about the subject, but that sounds like what's called "Lactose Intolerance". I have only known a couple of people who have that condition, and one of them says that she can tolerate some goat-milk products pretty well.

Just a warning to those who believe goat's milk is safe for those with lactose intolerance.

If you are lactose-intolerant, goat milk is not for you. Goat milk still contains lactose, just like cow milk. Some people find goat milk slightly easier to digest than cow milk, but this is highly individual. If you have lactose intolerance, it’s safest to stick with plant milks that are guaranteed to be lactose-free.

Can't remember what Alfredo sauce tastes like

I don't believe you're an active member anymore but it's a cheese sauce. Yummy. If you like carbonara minus the bacon, surely you'll like Alfredo.

Sure thing, especially homemade alfredo sauce with cream cheese done by Italians. Italians are renowned worldwide for their mastery of flavors, and their approach to creating Alfredo sauce is a testament to their culinary prowess. The foundation of this sauce typically includes rich and creamy ingredients like butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. However, the addition of cream cheese takes this classic sauce to a whole new level of indulgence. The cream cheese not only adds a velvety smoothness but also imparts a subtle tangy note that balances the richness of the dish.

Have you guys tried the healthy version of Alfredo sauce?

Also what’s your favourite cheese to use in Alfredo sauce?

One of my favorite meals that I make is chicken alfredo, so yes! In fact I'm gonna pick up the ingredients today because now I'm craving chicken alfredo after reading this topic lol

I have a love hate relationship with alfredo sauce..

I love alfredo sauce.. but I hate that when it separates, you can't save it.. so I make it in small batches..

I haven't tried the yogurt alternative but I am not surpised that it exists.. yogurt is a good substitute even for sour cream taste wise but it doesn't do anything for the heat since there is no fat..

And yes, I have cheated using cream cheese and cream.. I actually prefer this to traditional alfredo which separates..
