A family who wanted to name their child Nutella have been told ‘Non!’ by a French court.

The parents in Valenciennes were told that it could be ‘against the child’s interests’ to be named after the brand.

The child was born on September 24 but, according to La Voix Du Nord, a registrar highlighted the name to the town’s court which made its finding and the baby had to be re-named.

Meanwhile a second family from Raismes gave birth to a child they named Fraise (Strawberry).

Once again the court found the name could ‘be the cause of mockery’ that ‘could have a negative impact on the child’.

Instead they used the name Fraisine – a name that was popular in the 19th century.

Do you think anyone has the right to tell you what you can or cannot name your baby?

I don't believe any government has any right to tell parents what they can and cannot name their child. If they wanna name him Adolf Hitler (surname) then so be it!

*deadpans* Israel's response to them ought to be: "Hey, kid.....your parents should've been telling Hamas not to fire rockets from schools and other civilians into Israel, but hey, if you want to join them, by all means, keep firing rockets like the cowards that inhabit most of that region."

@webster, or perhaps the cowards of the israel police force and the zionist government that illegally took over palistine... but you know, israel are just peaceful saints that just want peace on earth, they aren't violent nor cowards, yeah right...

How disgusting.

Steal land, murder innocents, then play the victim/martyr and demean the grief of a child orphaned from Israeli actions.
There's a lot wrong with this picture Webster.
I really can't comprehend how you can support this.

Israel began their assault in 1948. Hamas formed as a resistance party in the 1980's, after 30 years of murder and brutality.
Might want to look into this a little more objectively.

please @identityissues8, they are brainwashed to believe that israel never did anything wrong, that they were legally formed and that they never attacked the palestinians to steal land, egypt, syria, jordan nor the u.s.s. liberty, but instead everyone 'thinks' that everyone attacked israel first yet israel won against all fronts! HAHAHAHAHA! who would be so delusional or crazy to believe in that crap?
