CBS News: Man watched by terror task force shot, killed by officers in Boston
BOSTON -- A man under 24-hour surveillance by terrorism investigators was shot and killed outside a pharmacy Tuesday after he lunged with a knife at a city police officer and an FBI agent, police said.

Police Commissioner Williams Evans said members of the Joint Terrorism Task Force approached 26-year-old Usaama Rahim in the city's Roslindale neighborhood just after 7 a.m. to question him about "some terrorist-related information" they had received when he came at officers with a large military-style knife.

He said officers repeatedly ordered Rahim to drop the knife, but he continued to move toward them with it. He said task force members fired their guns, hitting Rahim once in the torso and once in the abdomen. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A witness told CBS station WBZ-TV at least three shots were heard.

Neither Evans nor Vincent Lisi, the special agent in charge of the Boston FBI office, would say why Rahim was under surveillance, but a law enforcement source told CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton that the suspect was under investigation for threats against law enforcement. This investigation is consistent with the threat stream being tracked by the FBI that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is urging attacks against law enforcement and military personnel by any means available.

Evans said a "level of alarm" prompted authorities to try to question him Tuesday.

"Obviously, there was enough information there where we thought it was appropriate to question him about his doings," Evans said. "He was someone we were watching for quite a time."

No, No, see, he was just going to see his grandmother, he wasn't carrying a knife, it was, yeah, it was a beef summer sausage, for National Sausage Month, that's it. And they shot him in the back, like his brother said, and he called them and said 'I can't breathe', right?

Well it seems we have reached the point where the Muslim population in America is large enough where we will now see these crazies creating misery and violence at every turn. I mean did we expect anything else when the middle east under that religions rule is complete wasteland of hell. And hundreds of millions of women have no rights and can be treated like cattle for the slaughter. When Europe has no go zones with crazy Muslim populations and there Sharia Law who want no part of the countries they migrated to. And now we have them here. I am afraid it is the only religion or people on this planet in todays world I can comfortably generalize and say it is a overwhelmingly evil with rare exceptions here and there with people fighting a fight into the abyss to change it into a peaceful way of life.

and you guys are just going to blindly believe what the cops say and end of discussion?

how sad...

cops lie all day and everyday, you don't know what happened there unless there's video of it, so stop thinking that this person that got shot was justified just because the government tells you to believe it...
