You'd have to create special habitats for them to prevent messing up local ecosystems and you'd have to make sure they don't get out, so effectively you'd be reviving a species to put it in a zoo...

It's possible, I suppose. I seem to recall hearing about scientists extracting valid DNA from a fossil trapped in amber a while ago.
