Burned out

Have you ever been burned out as an admin? What do you do to avoid this?

Have you ever been on a forum where the admin, staff got burned out and stopped caring?

Normally most administrators that get sick of their own forum end up closing it down or leaving it inactive.

I've got burned out before. Thankfully I have a great staff team to be here for me when I need a break.

All too often, once the "New" wears off and the "neatness" of being the admin of a board loses some of its luster... they give up and pull the plug.

I've lost track of how many forums I've seen go dark in a year or so.

Off Topix, it would appear, is an exception.

I agree, you have a great staff team here! It's normal to get burned out. Don't feel bad.
That's why it's important to have a great team. You have people you can count on and fall back on.
