Other than my kids, I dread Christmas this year.

Being almost 27, i've really lost the spirit. I have tons of spirit for my little ones, but other than that... I have some resentment I think for Xmas.

Is that bad?

Christmas isn't as good as it used to be when I was a kid..... =/
I don't even go to any Christmas concerts, or anything like that anymore. I always used to go to the 'official' one that is held in two cities here in New Zealand called Coca Cola Christmas in the Park. It's got Stan Walker etc. It's also free.

Yea, but I find for me this year...Since my estrangement from my family and my new found alcoholism and just breaking off sick leave for work, I find it stressful man. Really stressful.

Yeah it also can be a depressing time. Several of my family members have passed away and our group gets smaller every year it seems.

Yea, this is the first Christmas away from my parents and family. They disowned me in recent times. But most years, I'm there with my kids on Christmas Eve and with so much feast and celebration.

But this year, I'll be with my pregnant girlfriend and her kids and they don't really do anything festive, so thats all new to me.
