Do you not get the holiday off??
Good evening and stuff.
Good evening!!
Yup, those are all names I've gone by through the years. Haven't heard from Montrose or Wednesday in years! I wonder how they're doing?
I haven't seen either of them since... It's as if they dropped off the face of the earth when Wober went.

Indeed. They probably didn't get the email either. When I sent out the mass email announcing our reopening I got back hundreds of "Failed to send" "Address not found" emails returned back to me, which makes sense I suppose, if people abandon or forget about their email account, most emails providers will delete your account after a year of inactivity. I'll have to check if I got one of those from their accounts.

Yours worked with me, because that's how I ended up back here after god knows how many years away - and I haven't been in forums in ages, so this will more than likely be the only place I'll post. It's bizarre to think I still have that email account, and I still use it too!! I opened it when I was 16!

What's everyone doing this weekend? Upon hearing the news about USC and UCLA joining Big Ten want me to say "I'm done with college football," and as of this writing, I won't watch another college football game ever. Whoever's behind this decision and voted its approval will be taking a trip to the unemployment office. For those who are wondering, this is what this crap will be like 2 years from now.
Example number "I've lost freaking count" of just how money-hungry and greedy-as-hell collegiate football has become....I mean, it was bad enough when Maryland & Rutgers began sucking on the Big Ten money teat but now both Los Angeles-area colleges?

Why don't we just call the Big Ten "NFL Lite" and be done with it?

I still have some email accounts I opened when I was very young! I hardly use them anymore because they are on Yahoo mail. I like gmail way more these days.

Mm, sounds good!

Well, happy 4th of July to you and your friend - and anyone else reading this.

I live in the United Kingdom, so we don't celebrate it, but I have friends and relatives that do, so I wish you all a safe and happy Independence Day and enjoy the time with your families and friends!
Thank you! Do you have any holidays where you light fireworks?
Sounds fun!
I am about to head over there in a few. She's been texting me asking where I am. lol

Mine is a HOTMAIL one - how old is that?! Nowadays it's live.com - but no, not me, mine has to be the old hotmail.com domain name!!

Only New Year and Guy Fawkes Night - or as we call it here, Bonfire Night. :D

Better get going then! Try to take a pic and come back and show us the cupcakes you made :D

Hotmail is a blast from the past! I don't think I ever had an email with them but most of my friends did.

I have heard of Bonfire Night :)
Cool, well that is our only major one where fireworks are concerned, aside from New Year. :)

I know - I feel old just thinking about it! I remember opening it when I was like 15 or 16 just so I could email friends and join Facebook! God, I remember the old Facebook too, sheesh, that's a blast from the past aswell!!

Do you guys just watch professional fireworks or are you able to buy your own and light them off in front of your house?

Were you on MySpace? (theres an old one)
....Oh yeah Friendster was a thing I think.

Yes, we can buy fireworks and have them in the back garden. But, we also have organised displays too, where we get to watch someone else do them in the park - usually free to watch and they can go on for like 10 toi 15 minutes some of them. :D

Yes, I had a MySpace! I think I had something of everything when I was younger - but I never stuck to them, I always kept forgetting my passwords and getting locked out.

The fireworks that are legal in California are so lame! All they do is just shoot out showers of sparks. If you drive one state over (to Nevada) you can get pretty much every firework you've ever dreamed of. Cops are out in full force looking for illegal fireworks every year on the 4th. In fact the other day on the way home I seen a bunch of undercover cop cars pull up on a house and they were emptying a trailer someone had full of illegal fireworks.

I guess you could say, their day went up like a shot... Our organised displays are so much better - fireworks here are so expensive! I'd rather drive out somewhere and make an evening of it and watch an organised one.

Lol yeah, I wonder how much they got fined? It was a pretty big trailer. Fireworks are expensive! I hardly ever buy them anymore. I'll go watch other people shoot them off but the older I get the less I care about them.

I'm the same way - plus I have pets, so I kinda hate fireworks nowadays, they scare animals. :( My dog hates them and I have a parially deaf cat and she gets so stressed about them, so if I can avoid them, I will.

I usef to have one dog who was TERRIBLE with fireworks - he used to go into a comatose / freeze like state during fireworks - if it wasn't for the fact his eyes were open, you'd think he was dead! It used to take me HOURS to snap him out of it. :(
