Absolutely agreed, there needs to be a massive change to healthcare overall. Most other countries manage it just fine, time for the US to catch up

I have no faith that they will. The big wigs running the health care industry see it as a big cash cow to feed off of. They won't step down quietly. They'll fight to keep it in the shitty state it's in.

I really really avoid clinics and hospitals if I can. The reason behind that is they're fucking way over priced. I don't want to go see the doctor over the flu and then get hit with a 400 dollar bill that I can barely afford. Fuck that. It has to be life or death. I recently went to see a specialist and was diagnosed with severe sleep apnia. The sleep study alone is over 6 thousand dollars. This is exactly why I don't like seeing anyone.

It is insanity the prices the medical industry charges, it's why the US really needs universal healthcare, but that's a debate for another time. I will say, as someone else with chronic sleep apnea, a CPAP is an amazing device!
