...what next, Rep. King: concentration camps for Muslims a/la "The Siege"?
Republican Rep. Peter King says the United States should respond to the shootings Wednesday morning in and around the Canadian Parliament, which left a soldier dead, by increasing surveillance on Muslims.

The New York Republican, speaking with NewsMaxTV’s America’s Forum also placed blame on “morons” on the New York Times editorial board, Associated Press, and American Civil Liberties Union for limiting the New York Police Department’s ability to surveil Muslim communities.

“We can have all the technology in the world, the fact is we have to find out what’s happening on the ground in these Muslim communities and we can only do that through increased surveillance,” King said.

“What the NYPD used to until those moron(s) at the New York Times editorial board, and Associated Press, and American Civil Liberties Union went after them…the fact is we have to find what people are thinking. We have to find out who the radicals are,” King said. “We have to find out what’s going on in the mosques which are often incubators of this type of terrorism.”

King was citing the system put in place by the NYPD following 9/11, in which undercover police officers and paid informants they called “rakers” and “mosques crawlers” would compile data and trawl through Muslim neighborhoods.
Rakers would hang out in local businesses and write reports on goings-on. “With ISIS making a concerted effort to bring about these domestic attacks we have to go all out with surveillance,” said King. “We have to monitor what’s happening in those communities and we have to be quick to call it terrorism.”

“We have to realize that this is a real real issue and not something that we can hide behind under this cover of political correctness.”(Buzzfeed)

...you know, considering Peter King's support for terrorist organizations in the past, he's the last person who should spout off about surveilling certain groups inside the United States...

again, how and why are people wanting to connect that guy with being muslim, is there any proof or is everyone just that stupid? :S

He converted in 2011 at the Masjid Al Salaam and Education Center. He left that place because he complained to many non muslims entered the place.

The homeless shelter he stayed at just before the shooting have witnesses seeing him with his prayer rug praying every day. A counselor at that shelter who talked with regularly has already told reporters of his extremist views and how angry he was with America bombing over in the middle east.

Confiscating his computer they have already found known terrorist radicals emails in his computer.

Good to see you (while still not stringing a coherent sentence together) admitting your denial, seasidemike.

.... I have no idea what you could possible be talking about...(edit edit edit ) lol

Well, that's incredibly silly, petty and unislamic of him.
The shooting is also unislamic of him.

Not that a Muslim's opinion of this matters...

so, there's an "article" saying that he was asked to leave the center but there's people that are saying he left... which one is it and is it a center or a mosque?

something seems off here... :|

Well the Mosque is going to cover there butts and say he was asked to leave more then likely. My opinion will depend on if it has a history radicals coming out of it.

The bigger churches are both a place of education and worship so it is the same for this Mosque.

So should we start conducting surveillance on those self-styled mega-churches, Liberty? Or does the surveillance only apply in regards to certain religions?

When Christian churches start becoming known places for radicals that go out and blow and shoot people up then yes put surveillance on 24/7. Profiling works we should use it.

Speak of the devil, Liberty...should we start surveiling Christian churches now? Profiling doesn't work; what it does is denigrate the honest person who gets lumped in with the bad guy.

In fact, if you think about it long enough, Liberty, there really ain't a dime's bit of difference between right-wing Christian extremists and radical Islamists other than the specific religion.

It does not denigrate anyone except for the criminals caught. But what does the top psychologists know.

Does Criminal Profiling Work?
How criminal profiling benefits law enforcement

There are those who ask whether gathering personal and crime characteristics can be extrapolated to a larger population to create profiles. In reality, this happens every day, all over the world. Extrapolation is done by governments, companies, mechanics, film makers, television productions, and even in the medical community. When there are clinical trials for a new medication, researchers test the drug on a group of people. Usually the test number is anywhere from 1000 and up. If there is a good result for the people in the test study, the drug is released for hundreds of millions of people. It is assumed that the drug will work well for most everyone. In essence, they extrapolate their results because it will work most of the time. Is it perfect? No. However, it works well enough that entire nations and billion dollar corporations use it.

The reader should recognize that profiling does not catch killers or terrorists by itself. Old fashioned police work and forensic science help catch offenders. However, behavior does reflect personality; therefore, behavior at a crime scene (this includes a terror attack) can disclose information about the perpetrator. The more behavior evident, the better a profile can be. And the more one can profile an offender, the better the predication value. In short, the more I know about you, the better I am able to know what you would do in a specific situation.

I have no idea what you are talking about and do not bother with links unless some of it is shared to even see if is worth my time. But Christians are not the ones killing, chopping and blowing up humans on almost every continent and 100 countries in the name of a god.
