-- SEVENTEEN --

John stood in the doorway of the studio, admiring the décor, paintwork and the sheer size of the room itself. For a moment he wondered if this was real - would he be woken up in a moment and realise it was all just a dream? Was he really going to be doing this? A brand new project - a prime time entertainment show? He'd dreamt for years of becoming a TV presenter, standing the the spotlight, in the centre of a stage infront of millions of viewers.

He'd been on TV before as a presenter on Live and Kicking, but that was for a younger audience and was 20 years ago. Nowadays you'd be lucky if a child was even watching the TV! They'd rather be sitting in front of a computer screen, or a games console! Not many kids these days sit down to watch a TV show with their parents.. So this was going to be a challenging project, but John loved a challenge!

Turning a full circle - 360 degrees and looking above his head at the lighting - voices broke his daydream.. Standing in the centre of the studio two ladies were having a full on argument about the length John's career. 'He's been in the industry for more than 20 years! I could put money on it!' One shouted loudly. 'No, its not been that long, I'd say it was about 15 years or so. He's not that old, surely.' The other replied calmly.

'Now now ladies! To put a nail in your argument, I've been in this industry for over 20 years so yes, one of you is correct. And, to answer the other question, I'm 44 years young!' John laughed. 'Now, can you please refrain from the shouting, I have a stomping headache.' John smiled and walked away. 'That was your fault, you were the one who shouted, now you've got us into trouble.' One whispered. 'Oh, put a sock in it! How old are you? 12?' The other replied. 'Well, I'm sorry I spoke!' The lady replied strolling away through the double doors of the studio.

'What was all that commotion about?' Gavin asked. 'Oh just some women - I don't know who - arguing about the length of my career. They were starting to give me a terrible headache, thank goodness the shouting has stopped.' John replied. 'Some people argue over the stupidest things, its funny really.' Gavin smirked. 'Yeah Gavin, thanks for your support!' John replied sarcastically. 'Anyway, where's your misses?' Gavin asked, changing the subject. 'She was here a moment ago' John replied looking around. 'Well, she's not here now..' Gavin replied. 'Thanks for pointing out the obvious!' John replied, rolling his eyes. 'You're welcome.' Gavin smiled.

'You know, you can really get on my nerves sometimes..' John replied. 'Only trying to lighten your mood, you look like a bulldog chewing a wasp.' Gavin replied. 'I could say the same for you...' John replied. 'What's gotten into you, Mr Moody Draws?' Gavin replied his tone changing. 'Not a lot, just stressed about everything that's going on right now..' John replied. 'We'll sort it, trust me, it'll all be OK.' Gavin reassured him.

'I know, I just can't help but worry about Sarah's safety.. Maybe I should send her to my sisters, you know, till every thing's sorted? But, I don't know, she may thing I'm trying to get rid of her and shove her onto someone else - like I can't deal with it' John replied. 'I thought that's what you were planning to do - shove her onto someone else' Gavin laughed. John's facial expression looked annoyed by that response.

'I'm just kidding! Don't look at me like that..' Gavin replied. 'Look.. whatever you decide to do, you know I'll help you out as much as I can. Every thing's going to be sorted.' Gavin smiled. 'Thanks Gav, you're a real friend, I don't know what I'd do without you.' John replied with a smile. 'But seriously, where's your misses?' Gavin asked. 'I really don't know.. Out for fresh air I should think..' John replied looking at the work schedule Gavin had given him.

***

Sarah sat on a small wooden picnic bench at the back of the building listening to the birds in the trees and the sound of traffic a mile away. It was late afternoon and was beginning to get dark and the temperature had dropped and the wind had picked up. As she sat listening to her surroundings, her phone bleeped:

'Hey babe, where are you? Are you OK? xx' it read.

'I'm at the back of the building, the studio was to stuffy and I needed fresh air - I'll be back inside soon xx' She replied.

She sat and thought about what was happening and weather or not she should be here. Rhys knew where she was, so she wasn't safe - he could find her at any moment.. Putting her phone back into her pocket, she picked up her belongings and proceeded back inside, into the warmth..

***

'Just talk to her about what you feels right for her and see what she says..' Gavin replied. 'All you can do is await the outcome. You never know, she may even agree with you. You won't know unless you ask, will you?' Gavin explained. 'You're right, I should just ask her, the worst she could do is disagree with me..' John smiled. 'See, so ask her!' Gavin replied. 'You're right! I'll talk to her about it tonight when we're back at the hotel.' John replied waiting for her to appear through the double doors.

She strolled in through the doors and headed towards them. 'Sorry about the sudden disappearance, I needed to get some fresh air, but its getting dark and cold out now so I came back in' Sarah smiled. 'Its OK, just wanted to know where you'd vanished to, that's all.' John replied. 'Sorry, I'll tell you before I disappear again' She replied. 'So, how are things going in here, did I miss anything' She asked looking at John's schedule. 'Not a lot, just discussions and stuff, nothing exciting really' Gavin replied.

***

The stage lights shone brightly along the walls of the studio. John stood on the stage, with the autoque a few metres away. As he stood adjusting himself, the voice over echoed overhead: 'Welcome, onto the stage. Mr Saturday Night.. John Barrowman!' It boomed. 'That needs turning down a touch, it'll be way to loud otherwise.' John shouted. The sound manager nodded in acknowledgement and adjusted the voice over volume.

John began reading from the Autocue: 'Good evening and welcome to Tonight's The Night! The show that makes your dreams come true..' He began, hands clasped in front of him as he smiled into the camera, positioned just above the Autocue. 'That sounds OK, the earpiece volume is fine, no need to adjust it, I can hear the guys in the gallery above me.' John replied stepping off the stage.

As John took a sip of his water, he gestured to Sarah to come over. 'Yes?' She replied stopping in front of him. 'I need to talk to you later about something.' John replied quietly. Looking over her shoulder, Gavin gave him a thumbs up and walked to the back of the room. 'Have I done something wrong?' She asked looking worried. 'No, we just need to talk' John smiled. 'I must get back to work.' John smiled kissing her softly on the lips. 'Oh, OK then..' She replied, looking a little lost and confused.

***

Later that night, back at the hotel, John was sitting on the bed waiting for the bathroom to be free. He was wondering how to start the conversation that would soon be unfolding before him, when the bathroom door suddenly opened. Out strolled Sarah, modelling a long white bathrobe, black PJ bottoms and thick red and white striped slipper socks. She wandered over to her side of the bed, flicked on the bedside table lamp, closed the curtains and sat on the bed.

John wandered into the bathroom and closed the door slowly behind him.. Sarah sat upright against the head board and began to read her book 'You Are Not Alone, Michael: Through A Brother's Eyes by Jermaine Jackson' Her brother was a huge fan of The King Of Pop, Michael Jackson but wasn't much of a reader. Sarah bought the book because she thought It'd be an interesting read - and she wasn't wrong - it had her engrossed from chapter one! As she flicked the page over, John emerged from the bathroom and settled on the bed, turned onto his side and watched her for a few minutes before speaking...

'You know when I told you we needed to talk?' John began. 'Yes?' Sarah replied, her head still in her book. 'What I need to talk to you about is nothing for you to worry about.' John explained gently closing her book and slowly placing it on the bed. 'OK, so spit it out already.' Sarah replied looking at him. 'It was just an idea, but I was thinking about sending you to stay with my sister.' John replied. 'You're shoving me onto someone else?' Sarah replied. 'No, I just think it'd be safer if you stayed with her till every thing's sorted.' John replied. 'I can't believe this..' Sarah replied looking shocked. 'Look, I know its a little extreme, but I think you'd be better staying there.' John replied, trying to calm her down.

'You can do some exploring. And as you've always said, you'd love to meet your friend, Jazzy if I'm correct?' John asked. 'Well yes, but..' She replied. 'But nothing. You can go and see her, stay with her for a little while. I'll still play you your wages, so you wont be short on spends.' John smiled. 'I guess I could go and see her, but only if you're sister is fine with me staying with her and travelling America?' Sarah replied. 'She'll be fine with it. Whatever you want to do, she'll help you out along the way. Any problems you have, you can speak to her. She'll be happy to help you out any way she can.' John smiled. 'Are you sure?' She asked. 'Of course I'm sure, I do know my own sister!' John laughed.

'I suppose I better get packing soon then.. When am I being shipped off to the states?' She asked. 'Well, when would you like to visit the states?' John replied. 'I'll have to email Jazzy and let her know I'm coming to the states and find out when her schedule's free. She is a busy lady after all. Wouldn't want to cause her any problems.' Sarah smiled. 'Why not send her an email now and check it in the morning and see what she says in the morning?' John replied. 'I'll go do that now. Hopefully she'll see it when she gets on her computer.' Sarah replied getting up from the bed.

Sarah sat in front of the mirror on the dresser, flicked on the main light in the room and began composing her email to Jazzy:

'Hey Jazzy!

Just wondered how you and your 'zoo crew' have been? Anyway.. I'll be flying out to Wisconsin at some point this week to stay with John's sister and I am thinking of travelling around America.

I know we've talked - many times - about if I was ever to visit, that we should meet up? Well, that time has finally arrived! I'd love to come and see you for a few weeks while I'm in the states? - that's if you're free of course!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Take Care

Sarah'

***

The following afternoon, Sarah checked her email inbox for any replies to her email. Sitting in the inbox was the Subject 'Re: Just Wondered' and Jazzy's email address. The reply read:

Hey there, Sarah!

My zoo crew and I are all do good today, thank you for asking! I am very happy about you coming to stay in the US. Will be lovely to see you!

My new work rota's come out on a Sunday, so if you let me know in advance when you're coming, I'll see if I'm free or can get some time off work for when you want to come here. Will be great to finally meet you, I can't wait!

Take care

Jazzy'

'She replied, she said she'll see if she can get time off to see me.' Sarah smiled as John was getting ready for his afternoon of filming the pilot. 'I'll be out and about this week. I have to film some what's knows as 'Surprise Hits' on the unexpected victims' John replied with a mock villain laugh like the one in the movie's - you know.. the evil genius that spends hours in his lab, tinkering with his potions or blue prints? Gets it right and starts laughing, that evil laugh? Yeah, that one!

'Is it OK if you book my flights and stuff for me before you go away on you location filming? That way, I can be out of your hair before you come back here to Glasgow after your hits are completed.' Sarah smiled. 'Yeah sure. I'll get onto it before the end of today for you, I promise.' John smiled. 'Thanks, you're a star!' Sarah replied. 'Will try and have your flight booked for tomorrow morning if there are flights free. Anyway, speak to you later, I'm running late.' John smiled, walking out of the room and closing the door behind him.

***

John stood in the corridor for a few moments before walking down the corridor, into the lift and down into the reception area. He knew that what he was doing was right and that Sarah would be safe out of the UK and out of harms way. That way, John could sort out the mess with Rhys without Sarah knowing about it. And he could have Andy locked up behind bars for good before she even set foot back into the UK.

He took out his mobile from his pocket and texted Gavin who was waiting for him at the studio.

'Hey Gav, its on! Sarah has agreed to go and stay with my sister. So, now we can sort out Andy and Rhys, once and for all.. The sooner we get this mess sorted the better.. Rhys and Andy will regret the day they ever crossed my path.'

John sent the message and proceeded to the car park, where his ride was waiting for him. John smiled to himself and got into the car and drove off. He was prepared to get this sorted, if it was the last thing he did...

you look like a bulldog chewing a wasp

That made me laugh so hard!

If John could only make one dream come true, it would be my dream wish to meet you! Oh how wonderful that would be! Next time you see him, could you ask him to fulfill my dream and send you to spend time with me?

-- EIGHTEEN --

The following morning, John sat in the car - the world whizzing by his passenger side window. Shaun was in the drivers seat, looking out at the traffic. Rain falling hard onto the windscreen, the wipers were swishing from side to side. As they stopped at the roundabout at the lights, John's phone bleeped. 'Twitter.com: DM from LFC_JFT96_YNWA' It notifed him.

'Got another hour and a half before boarding, but I thought I'd let you know. Going to sit in the cafe for a while and have a coffee x' It read

'Glad you're OK. Just on my way to my first 'Suprise Hit's' of the series. Take care. Text me when you land. x' He replied.

***

The airport was manic. People were rushing here and there with thier luggage. Kids were laughing and some where running around. The cafe was awfully quiet - considering the airport was busy. Behind the counter stood a young lad, about 17 who was taking people's orders. He had another guy with him - he must of been a newbie to the job - and he was making a few odd mistakes on the till.

Aproaching the counter, the young lad asked Sarah what she would like. 'A small coffee please' She replied. The lad proceeded to tap it into the till. She gave him her money and he gave her the change. 'You've given me back the wrong change. It was £2.25, you've given me £2 over what my change should have been' Sarah smiled. 'Thank you for being so honest' The older guy replied. 'Its OK, I know what it's like when you have a new job, its nerve racking.' Sarah replied.

Before leaving the counter with her order, Sarah turned to the young lad and give him a little advice. 'Take your time, there's no rush. People will understand you're new to this and give you some time to get used to it. In time, it will become a second nature to you, trust me, you'll be fine.' Sarah smiled and walked away.

Sitting at a table nearest the door - so she could here her boarding call - an elderly lady, with her bags, was struggling with the door. Sarah strolled over to it and held it open for her. 'Thank you, dear' She smiled. 'You're very welcome.' Sarah replied softly. The lady slowly walked off to the counter when she suddenly stopped. 'Oh dear, I've lost my purse!' The lady exclaimed. 'Where did you have it last?' Sarah asked. 'It was in my bag and I was sat... Or dear, its been stolen!' The lady panicked. 'Here, sit down I'll go and get someone for you. There's security around, I'll go find one of them for you. Stay there.' Sarah replied and bolted out of the door.

Running across the aiport to the Customer Enquiries desk, she spotted a young security gaurd on the arrival's door. 'Excuse me sir, there's an elderly lady in the cafe over there who says her purse has been stolen!' She replied and he ran back with her to the cafe. 'Bending down to her, the man began to take her details and what she remebered. 'There they are!' Shouted the lady who pointed at them through the window. Sarah put down her coffee and bolted after them with the security gaurd close behind.

They ran halfway across the airport and through the crowds of people before Sarah collered them and they fell to the ground. 'Thank you, love' Said the security guard. 'You should do my job, you can run faster than me!' He laughed. 'I used to train with my local Police Academy.' Sarah replied with a smile. 'Be sure to tell the elderly lady you've caught them' And she ran back to the cafe.

***

John and Shaun sat in the car in the middle of the hectic traffic jam that was sitting on the motorway. Horns were beeping, lights were flashing and the rain was falling, hard. 'I hate the motorway, thank goodness I'm not driving' John replied looking out of the window. 'If you were driving, my ears would be ringing with all your shouting.' Shaun replied. 'You're not funny..' John replied. 'Well, there was me, thinking I was.' Shaun replied, rolling his eyes. 'Don't get sarcy.. I was only saying..' John replied watching a lorry driver on his left had side coming off the slip road and onto the motorway. 'And so was I.' Shaun replied.

As they reached the part of the motorway where it joins the M6, a police car came racing past them, lights flashing and siren blaring.. A few moments later came a paramedic, an ambulance and two fire engines, all heading in the same direction at a fast speed. Something was deffinatley up, but John and Shaun weren't sure what. As they reached the next junction, they saw the lights and realised this was serious.. Two lanes were closed and traffic was, yet again, at a stand still... This was bad..

The outer and middle lane was closed and police were putting out diversion signs, then suddenly came the local traffic announcement:

Two lanes on the M5, southbound have been closed due to a savere accident. Police and the emergancy services are at the scene.. We have no ruther information on this accident at this time. Next traffic announcement in 30 minutes.

'It must be bad to have two lanes closed..' Shaun replied, turning down the radio.. John seemed to be in a little world of his own.. 'Are you even listening to me?' Shaun asked. 'Oh what? Sorry, I was reading my Twitter feed.' John replied. 'Never mind..' Shaun replied.

Sitting looking at his Twitter feed, John was looking out for a - if any - Tweets from Sarah, but there was nothing.. It had been awhile since her last tweet and he thought she may of tweeted before now to say she was boarding her flight.

***

Waiting in the departures lounge, waiting to board her flight, the sun was beaming through the windows from the airport runway outside. Looking down at her phone, checking the time, she noticed a Direct Message notification, from John 'Woundering if you've left yet? Haven't seen a tweet from you for awhile x' It read. 'No, was busy catching a thug who stole a lady's handbag. Must go, boaring announcement has just rung over the tannoy.' She replied and switched off her phone.

She stood up from the chair and made her way to the boarding tunnel, took a look out of the window at the runway tarmac, looked down at her stomach and smiled to herself. Her future was about to be made, John was hers and thier future together would be a happy one. Right now, nothing and no one could spoil her happiness.

***

I think I've found your new home, John. Gavin smiled. Good good, what's it like? John asked. Here, look! I think you'll like this place. It has six bedrooms, two en suite bathrooms and a family sized one, a kitchen, dining room, livingroom and utility room and a study. A big garden and a pool.. Its smiliar to your current place, only and extra two rooms and another en suite more than the one you have now. Gavin smiled. Sounds wonderful. Still on Cardiff? John asked. Yes. Look.. Same area as your current home, just a few miles up the road. Gavin replied. Sounds perfect.. Can you arrange a viewing for me, please? John replied. Sure, I'll get onto it, right away. Gavin replied.

It'd been two weeks now since Sarah had left the UK and John was beggining to miss her. As it was his day off, he sat and contemplated a relaxing day infront of the TV watching films, but that just reminded him of Sarah. Some days were good ones and some days were sad ones, today was a sad one. He was hoping Sarah was OK and enjoying her break away with his sister and brother-in-law.

***

Sitting around the table, Carole was sitting with husband, Kevin having a conversation about Sarah's future with her brother. What a lovely lady Sarah seems. Carole smiled taking a sip of her tea. I know, I thought that too Kevin smiled. John has really found a keeper. She thinks the world of our John, which is lovely, because I know how much Sarah means to John. She means everything to him, so its nice to see his feelings being resiprocated. Carole smiled. How well do you know Sarah? Kevin asked. To be honest, not a lot.. But, I know her enough, through John, to know she's the one for John. My mother would love her, I know she would. Carole replied....

Do you think they'll ever be married? Kevin asked. I mean, I know they are engaged, but do you think it'll go any further than that? He continued. Honestly? Yes, I do. John has told me so much about her and every word he said was true, I know it was. I haven't seen John this happy since Russell told him he had his own spin-off Sci-Fi drama. Carole replied looking out of the window. I hope you're right. Kevin replied getting up from the table. I am, I know I am Carole smiled to herself.

She knew her brother very well and she knew he was happy - truly happy. John hadn't been this happy for a long time and it was nice to finally hear him talk about someone as much as he did Sarah and be content with his life. John was happy, so she was happy.

***

Sarah was sitting upstairs lying on the bed, thinking about John, clutching a photo of them together at a Torchwood party. She felt a little lost without him, it'd been awhile since she and John had been a part for this long. The last time they were part like this was just before they moved in together and were just meeting up once or twice a week for a coffee at the local coffee shop.

As she lay, staring at the celing, Carole spoke softly through the door and broke her daydream. Come in, Carole. Sarah replied sitting up. Are you OK? You've been quiet all day, is everything OK? Carole asked closing the door behind her. Honestly? Sarah replied. Yes, of course, honestly. Carole smiled sitting on the bed. No, no its not. Sarah replied. Why, what's the matter? Carole replied concerned. I miss John, I miss him a lot. I never thought I would miss him as much as I do. But I'm crazy about him and I can't help it. Sarah replied. I know how much you love him, I can see it in your eyes. Why don't you talk to him.. Text him, see if he's free and call him, talk to him. Carole smiled getting up from the bed. I don't want to seem... Sarah began. None sense, just phone him. Carole replied and left the room, closing the door behind her.

Sarah sat on the bed smiling to herself. She reached over and picked up her phone and texted John.

'Hey babe! How are you? Anyway, missing you a lot, hope you can sort out your work and I can come home soon, I miss you and I can't stop thinking about you. I'm lonely and fancy a chat, are you free or busy?' She wrote.

Five minutes later, she received a reply from John.

'Hey, baby girl! Give me ten minutes and I'll phone my sister's home phone and we can have a chat. I'm missing you too. Missing you like the moon without the stars. Like the earth without the sun. Love you with all my heart. x x' He replied.

After sitting on the bed for ten minutes, the house phone rung and she heard Carole answer it. Within a few moments, she knocked on the bedroom door and proceeded in, where Sarah was waiting, sat on the bed. John wants you. Carole smiled handing Sarah the phone. Thanks. Sarah replied taking the phone from her hand...

Told you I'd phone, didn't I? Came John's voice on the other end.. Yeah, but I knew you would. She replied. Oh you did, did you? He responded. What have you been up to? She asked. Not a lot, been sending Gavin on an few errands for me. He's found us a possible new home. Asked him to arrange a viewing for me, so he's off doing that, you? John replied. Not a lot, been having a lazy day, haven't been up to doing a lot. She replied. Are you OK, you seem.. off.. John asked. Nothing, just home sick I guess.. Sarah replied. You'll be seeing Jazzy soon, won't you? John asked. Yeah, flying out Friday and staying with her for a week - she can only get a week off. She replied. Better than nothing, eh? He replied. Yeah She replied with a smile.

I'm feeling a little sick. John replied. You OK? She asked concerened. Yeah, but I like this type of feeling sick, makes me warm and fuzzy inside He replied smiling to himself. That sounds like a funny sickness.. Sarah replied. Nah, I'm love sick, that's the sickness I have. John replied.. Sarah fell silent... You still there? Came his voice again. Yeah She replied, he couldn't see it, but she was crying.. Crying at the thought of them being so far apart. That she could hear him, but not see him.. Oh good, thought I'd lost you then.. John replied. I love you baby girl He spoke again. I love you too She replied, trying not to let him hear the tears in her voice. She was thqnkful he couldn't see her. See the tears in her eyes, the sadness on her face, the loneliness she felt in her heart.

Miss you. Its lonely here in the house, the boys miss you too, but not as much as I do. John continued. Sarah sat listening to every heartfelt word that fell from his lips, clutching the photo close to her chest. I miss you too, but I know we'll be back together soon, where we belong. Tell Jack to be a good boy, Charlie not to cry for me, and Harris not to chew my shoes. She replied. I'm crying for you, I've been doing it every night since you left.. John replied, his voice breaking.. Are you alright? Sarah asked, even though she could tell he was upset. Yeah He sniffled, clearing his throat. I'm alright John laughed nervously. I miss you babe, more than you'll ever know. John continued tears in his eyes. He missed her dearly and hated to be away from her like this. It was tearing him apart.

She sat on the bed, with tears running down her face at the thought of him sitting at home, upset and lonely. Her heart was breaking knowing he was upset and she couldn't put her arms around him and tell him everything was going to be OK. Are you crying, babe? John asked. No.. No I'm fine She replied wiping away tears with her jumper sleeve. I know we've had our differences and I know we've argued. But, I just want you to know I love you with all my heart. We may be miles apart, but I'm by your side in spirit and in your heart, always. John replied calmly. Sarah looked up at the celing and she broke down in floods of tears. I miss you babe, I really do. I'm crazy about you and can't stop thinking about you. Sarah sobbed. I'm crazy about you too, babe! John replied, voice breaking.

John.. She began. I need you... She sobbed and John started to cry. Baby, please don't.. John replied. I'm sorry, but I needed to say it, I needed you to know. She replied. This is breaking my heart. I can hear, but I can't see you. I can hear you, but I can't touch you. I can feel you with me, but I can't kiss you.. I can't live without you She sobbed. Don't say that, baby, you're making me cry. I need you, I love you, I miss you! John replied. Look, I have to go.. She replied. No, not like this, please! John replied. I have to or it'll break my heart knowing your upset and I can't hold you. Sarah replied. OK. Just promise me one thing.. He began. Any thing She replied. Forever and always He replied. Forever and always. She replied. Speak to you soon baby girl, take care. He replied. Love you too babe, you know I do! She replied. And they hung up.

Sarah sat on the bed, sobbing her heart out knowing John was at home alone, upset and there was nothing she could do to make him feel better. She sat, still clutching the picture and looking out of the window. I love you John, I hope you know that. She said to herself, tears running down her face. As she closed the curtains, her phone bleeped.

'If I could have just one wish,

I would wish to wake up everyday

to the sound of your breath on my neck,

the warmth of your lips on my cheek,

the touch of your fingers on my skin,

and the feel of your heart beating with mine...

Knowing that I could never find that feeling

with anyone other than you.'
It read.

She read the text, slowly and smiled to herself. The tears had stopped, she felt loved, wanted and cared about. Finally, she had met the man of her dreams, she was expecting his baby and they were happy, really happy!

This was so very heartwarming and touching that I felt like crying too! You have a talent to make your readers actually feel what you're writing. That's a talent that not very many experienced authors can even do. Keep up the excellent work and I can't wait to read the next chapter! Hat's off to you Boogie!

-- NINETEEN --

A few days later, John woke up with Sarah's picture sitting on her empty, cold pillow. Jack was on her side of the bed, Charlie was on the floor, by the bed and Harris was in the doorway, washing his paws. Morning boys, still no mummy I'm afraid. John told the dogs. Jacks head rose and Charlie jumped on the bed and licked his face. Harris just sat there, looking confused - like always. Harris, you make me laugh, daft boy. John smiled as Harris finally realised daddy had spoken to him.

John sat up in bed and looked around the room before realsing he was late meeting Gavin.. Oh crap! I've done it again! John said to himself getting changed quickly and sprinting out the door, down the stairs. Collected his car keys and ran out of the front door and down the driveway.

Sarah was lying in bed, looking up at the celing thinking about her flight to Vermont in the morning and finally meeting Jazzy. She was excited and nervous, this was the very first time she'd met her. She was looking forward to doing fun, exciting things with her while she was there. Like shooting Darts, playing pool and visiting her state. Vermont looked like an amazing place and she was looking forward to the visit very much.

As she turned over to get comfy and go sleep, Carole came the bedroom and popped her head around the door. Kevin will drive you to the airport in the morning. I have to pop out early tomorrow to a meeting so I can't take you like I planned, sorry about that. Carole explained. Its OK. Kevin taking me is fine, I really don't mind She replied. OK. Goodnight.. Carole replied and closed the door.

Where the hell have you been, Barrowman! You're late, again. That's the second time this week! Gavin boomed as John bardged through the door of his office. Sorry, woke up late, forgot to set my alarm last night. John replied. Anyway.. Your home viewing is Monday at 10am. These photo's need signing, you're getting really behind with fan mail and autographs. Gavin replied. Well, I have been busy, or did you forget that bit? John replied sitting down. How's the misses, have you spoken to her yet since she's been away? Gavin asked. Yes, I spoke to her a few days ago on the phone, it got a little emotional to say the least, but she's OK. John replied taking his mobile out of his pocket. When she coming back? Gavin asked. Like I said, when those 'things' are sorted. John replied.

The house picking is pretty much sorted, if you accept it. Gavin smiled. But, we still have the little problem regarding Andy 'Woman Beater' Sailcombe and Rhys 'Scumbag' Jones, remember? John replied. I forgot about them. Can't we just leave things as they are at the moment, I mean, if you move, they won't find you any way, so where's the harm? Gavin replied. In case you haven't realised, Rhys knows where I work and Andy knows Rhys.. God, you're an idiot sometimes John replied. Oh yeah, I forgot that. Sorry, my mistake. Gavin replied. But how are we supposed to find them? Gavin continued. I know where Rhys is and I know how to get him to confess to Andy's whereabouts. John smiled. But, how are we going to get them arrested? Gavin asked. I have the conversation saved on my phone with Rhys in the cafe awhile back and the agruement with him at the train station. And, Sarah sent me the recording of the phone conversations she hasd with Rhys... John smiled. Ah, now I get you. Gavin replied.. Come on, police station, we'll do it now John replied getting up.

Landing in Vermont a few hours later, she made her way to arrivals to find Jazzy. This was going to be an exciting week and she was looking forward to it. As she made it through arrivals, Jazzy was standing holding a board, which made he laugh out loud. Boogie Girl! Welcome to Vermont! It read. Sarah laughed to herself. JAZZY!! Sarah exclaimed. Finally, you're here!! About time we met up! Jazzy smiled giving her a huge hug. They'd been friends for ages and knew a lot about each other, so meeting up was like they'd never been apart. Come on, lets get you back and in the warm, its freezing out here. I have food in the oven. Jazzy smiled as they left the airport.

So tell me, what's it like living with Mr Barrowman then? Jazzy asked. Actually quite fun, he's actually a really good laugh and GREAT company and makes me feel good about myself. She replied. Oh that's great news! I hear a wedding is on the cards!? Jazzy asked excitedly. Yeah, I hope so! Sarah laughed. He seems like a really nice bloke from what you've been telling me. Jazzy replied. Yeah, he is. Maybe if he comes over before I head home, we can get you to meet him, finally. Sarah replied. I'd really like that! Jazzy replied. I'll try and sort something out then. Sarah replied.

***

I think you did the right thing, showing the police those recordings and hopefully, they'll both be banged up, for a very long time. Gavin replied sitting in the car with John. I hope so. John replied. Now what? Gavin replied. I want to go visit my misses and her friend Jazzy, but keep the surprise to yourself.. John replied. Don't you need to get Jazzy's address first? Gavin replied. Sarah has it written in the address book at home.. John replied. Ah, I like a good surprise! Gavin smiled. I want to do this properly and show her truly how I feel about her. John smiled. How are you going to do that? Gavin asked. Arrive at Jazzy's place with a HUGE Tigger and choclolate, how else! She loves chocolate and Tigger. Win win situation, if you ask me! John smirked. Aww, you soppy old romantic you! Gavin smiled. I try to be.. I know I don't seem it sometimes, but I can be when it comes to someone I love as much as I love her. John smiled.

Little problem.. You won't be able to go and see her till after the viewing on Monday morning. Gavin smiled. I know, that's why I plan to fly out on Monday afternoon John replied. Ah I see - thought you meant you were going tomorrow or something.. Gavin replied. Oh no, I didn't forget about the home viewing.. John replied. I guess you want me to do your flights for you, considering Sarah isn't here.. Gavin smiled. Well, I guess you could, please John smiled. Knew you'd say that.. Gavin laughed.

The sun was beaming down on the road ahead and the temperature was at a reasonable high, yet to Sarah, it felt a lot higher. With the wind near enough still, it made Sarah feel a little too hot and uncomfortable. Her stomach was in knots at the thought of being this far away from home and away from John. She sat and contemplated what to do for the rest of the day. As she sat in a daydream, looking out of the window, a sudden twinge shot through her stomach and she cringed at the pain. Gripping her stomach, the twinge hit again.. The stress of being away from home was making her stomach do somersaults and her head pound like a drum.

Are you alright? Jazzy asked glancing over at Sarah. Yeah, just a little stomach pain. I think the stress of everything that's been going on at home has finally hit me.. and hard.. Sarah replied with a groan. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask me. Being in a medical profession I have friends who can help you if you need it. Jazzy smiled. Thanks, greatly appreciated. Sarah replied settling back in her seat. Are you missing someone? Being away from someone or somewhere in a place you've never visited can cause stress and panic.. Jazzy asked with a smile. I miss John, but that's really nothing new, I've been missing him ever since I left a week ago.. Sarah replied. Aww, that's very sweet. Have you spoken with him recently? Jazzy asked. Yes, yesterday evening, which is why I'm missing him more than normal I guess. We got into a heartfelt conversation over the phone and I sort of told him I needed him and that I missed him and I couldn't live without him and I sort of.. Made him cry.. I haven't made him cry like that in ages. In the end, I had to end the conversation because I was that upset. And he sent the most romantic text he's ever sent me. Sarah smiled.

Making some men cry is a challange in its self, but for you to make him cry and him to send you a text like that is rather sweet. He must really think the world of you. Jazzy replied. Do you ever get the feeling your with someone, but you feel like you don't deserve them? Well, sometimes I have days like that. And when he texts me, it makes me feel like I am the luckiest woman alive, to have someone as loving and caring as he is.. Sarah replied. He sure sounds like the perfect guy to me! Jazzy smiled. Well, people say that no one is perfect, but to me, he is. He loves me for who I am, respects my wishes and always makes me feel loved, cared for and apprecated. I haven't been able to feel that why in a very long time. Sarah grinned. You're a very lucky woman and I envy you for it. Jazzy laughed.

I've had crap happen in my life, but I finally feel like I belong somewhere, like someone actually wants me as part of thier family, for me, is an achievement in its self. His sister and brother in law have made me feel welcome, his manager, Gavin has been a great guy, helping me out in any problems I or we have. John's my rock and I don't know what I'd do without him, he's my knight in shining armour, my twinkling star, my dream come true. I love him and I want the whole world to know. Sarah smiled. Have you gone public yet? Jazzy asked. Not yet, but we're working on that. We want the timing to be right. Sarah smiled. Should be before you marry, surely? Jazzy replied. We hope it will be. Sarah replied.

***

A few days later, John was leaving the viewing and made his way the car with his coat draped over his shoulder. As he reached the end of the street, he was cornered by a journalist. Mr Barrowman, we have reason to believe that you're looking to move away from the UK, is this true? The young man asked. Nope, load of none sense, I have no idea where you got that idea from.. John replied. We've seen you walking around Cardiff with another man.. Are you in a 'civil partnership'? He asked. Oh my god, where are you people getting this stuff from? Can I not walk around with another guy now? Is it against the law all of a sudden? He asked. No, but we.. The lad replied. You know, I really get annoyed with you people, making up stories about me, give me a bad name and slate me for no apparent reason and to be honest, I'm getting tired of it now. John replied.

But.. The lad began. Forget it! Look, I was going to leave this for another time, but I don't want to any more. For the record, I am not in a 'civil partnership' or whatever you're calling it these days.. He replied. Are you a bisexual, John? The lad replied. No! Listen to me for once in your life, for goodness sake! I am dating yes, but a woman, not a man. I know there are people out there who say I'm camp, I'm flamboyant and over the top. My response? I really care about what you think of me. I am who I am and I will NEVER change! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have things to do! John replied walking away. Who is she, John? The lad asked. That's for another time. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go. John replied calmly. Its a lie people, he won't admit he's not gay.. The lad smirked. If you smirk at me like that one more time, you'll be fishing the microphone from a very uncomfortable place. John replied. For god sake, here.. This is her.. And he showed the cameraman a photo of Sarah.

Twenty four hours later, it was plastered all over the local and international newspapers and television channels, all around the world...

***

Sarah.... Jazzy replied in shock. Yes? Sarah replied entering the room. I think you've just gone public, look! Jazzy replied turning up the TV. John's face was on her TV screen and he looked annoyed by what the journalist was asking him. By the time it had finished, Sarah's phone was going mad. Phonecalls, texts, voicemail messages.. It was ringing off the hook!! Sarah looked surprised but in a way happy, maybe now they didn't have to hide away anymore..

***

John landed the following day at Vermont airport and Sarah was still oblivious to the fact he was in the states and here to see her. For the last two days John had been telling media personell that he was in a happy, loving relationship and that what was going around was true and he was in a relationship with a woman. John no longer wanted her to remain a secret, instead he wanted the world to know just how happy he was and if this was the only why, then then he was fine with that.

Driving along the road, following his sat nav, he received a text from Sarah.

'I take it we've gone public, am I right? It read.

Yes! I couldn't keep it to myself any longer, I hope you don't mind!!' John replied.

No, ofcourse not! Love you baby, text you later xx' She replied.

As he turned down her street thirty minutes later, he spotted Jazzy's motorbike sitting outside on her driveway and waited for the front door to close before getting out of the car. Walking up her, long winding driveway, John was hoping his cover wasn't blown before he'd even got to the door! As her house got closer, he spotted the USA flag flying from her home and smiled. Jonhn wasn't an American, he was a Scottish American and was moved there when he was seven, but he knew how passionate about thier country Americans were.

As he looked down Jazzy had clocked him in the doorway. And, before he could get up the drive, Sarah was standing in the doorway, smiling.. As he reached the door, he stopped and collapased to his knees. I didn't want you to know I was here yet, but never mind, you know now. John laughed. Jazzy has eyes like a hawk, nothing goes un noticed when she's around Sarah smiled. Oh sorry, please excuse me. My names John, you must be the infamous Jazzy, yes? John replied getting his breath back and climbing to his feet. Yes that's me.. Jazzy beamed. God, Sarah wasn't kidding, YOU'RE HOT! She continued. John looked at Sarah and then at himself and Sarah nodded. Why thank you, I guess.. John replied laughing nervously. Oh god, did I just say that out loud? Jazzy replied. Sarah burst into laughter. Yes you did my dear. Sarah giggled. Please, come in! Jazzy smiled standing aside. Thank you. John replied.

***

Later that evening they sat and ate dinner together round a large oak table. Nice place you have, Jazzy John smiled. Jazzy had been sitting opposite John and had been glancing at him for twenty minutes now and he was dying to say something inappropriate.. Don't even think about it, or I'll throw you outside.. Sarah replied looking at John evily. What?! Jazzy replied blushing. John was going to say something in appropriate, take no notice. Sarah laughed. I was not! John giggled. Were too! Leave her alone! Sarah replied smirking. OK, I was, I'm sorry. John smirked misceviously.. What were you going to say? Jazzy asked. I don't think even I want to know.. Sarah laughed. You want some?! John winked. I said not to say anything! Sarah replied hitting him on the arm. Jazzy went bright red and almost choked on her drink. Sorry, I couldn't resist! John replied in a fit of giggles.

As Jazzy stood up from the table, John burt into histerical laughter. Sarah wasn't sure where to look so followed Jazzy into the kitchen, leaving John to calm himself down. As Sarah closed the door, Jazzy began giggling.. I am REALLY sorry about that! Sarah replied. Jazzy busrt out laughing. What? Sarah smiled. Oh, John is a joker he makes me laugh but gosh is he hot! Jazzy replied. Cheeky too! She continued. So glad that didn't embarras you to much! Sarah replied. None sense, I can take a joke. Jazzy smiled. He has the most amazing smile! Jazzy complimented. Doesn't he just. Sarah smiled. Like I said the other day, you're a VERY lucky woman. I don't want to naughtiness in here, please! Jazzy winked. Oh no, I wouldn't dream of it.. Besides, I can't.. I'm a little, lets say.. Off limits Sarah replied glancing down.. Are you, pregnant? Jazzy asked. You could say that. And yes, he knows. Sarah smiled. Oh my god, congrats! Jazzy beamed. Why didn't you tell me this before? Jazzy asked. I was going to, but never had the chance. Sarah smiled.

***

Sitting in the local pub's beer garden that evening, John sat sideways on the bench and placed his hand on Sarah's leg. As she turned to look at him, he whispered the words 'I love you. in her ear and she smiled. Sarah turned to the side and lent in to kiss him, as they were about to lock lips, Jazzy coughed, knowing what was just about to happen. Now now, John, put her down, you don't know where she's been Jazzy laughed. I do, she's been with me, no one else. John replied softly grabbing Sarah's hands tightly. Oh my god, get a room... It is sweet though. Jazzy smiled. As Jazzy took a sip of her drink, John whispered in Sarah's ear and she giggled.

Jazzy sat there for a moment before realising she didn't want to ask what he just whispered in her ear. Hey, now that's not very nice! Sarah replied out loud to John's whisper. What? Jazzy asked. Oh, he just told me he wanted to leave me here and go home with you! Sarah laughed. John looked at Jazzy and winked and then began laughing. Oh you flirt! Sarah laughed pushing him softly. You know I'm joking baby girl, I only have eyes for you. John replied. Jazzy can take a joke, can't you babe? John continued. Of course! Besides, I'd never do that to my friends. Jazzy replied. And I'd never do that to you baby, I only want you, I am no cheat and I love the bones of you. John smiled kissing her on the cheek. Awwww! Jazzy smiled.

Just took me 20 minutes to stop laughing! Oh, Boogie has me pegged spot on. Reading this made me feel as if I were really speaking these words and having a convo with John and Sarah.

I've composed myself enough to just say that I am honored to be a part of this fabulous story and great job Boogie!

Okay....I'm going to start laughing again

-- TWENTY --

Standing at the bar with Jazzy, John seemed to be a little quieter than earlier that evening, like something had happened he was embarrassed about. Jazzy wondered what she'd done wrong. Is something wrong? You haven't spoken much since we came indoors. Jazzy asked him concerned. I really apologise for my despicable behaviour out there earlier on.. I don't know what came over me. John apologised. No need to be sorry, you haven't done anything wrong. Jazzy smiled. I really don't want you to feel I'm trying anything, because I am not, this is just the way I am. I'm an outgoing guy who has a tendency to flirt. John replied.

I never thought you were.. Jazzy replied. Good. I mean, I think you're a pretty woman and all and I do love you, but as a friend, nothing more. John smiled. Its fine, I never thought you fancied me anyway Jazzy smiled. I just wanted to apologise for my stupid, insensitive behaviour outside and back at the house. John replied. Apology accepted. Jazzy smiled. Is there something else on your mind that's bothering you? Jazzy asked. I've been thinking about the wedding.. I mean, we've not even started planning it yet! John replied. When are you tieing the knot? Jazzy asked. Next year I think, after the baby is born. I don't know weather to go back to my Scottish roots and have a kilt or go modern and have a the piece suit.. John replied. Why not sit down with her tomorrow and talk it through.. Make a start on the planning? Jazzy asked. But, we have to do the nursery and things for when the baby arrives. John replied. Relax, you don't know what you're having yet and besides, picking colour schemes is easier when you know what the baby's gender is Jazzy smiled.

Although, can I ask a personal question? Jazzy asked. Yes.. Any thing.. John replied. Are you sure you're not having second thoughts? About the baby and stuff. I mean, when the baby is raised in a conversation you seem to be reluctant to talk about it. Jazzy asked. Oh no, far from it. I just never know what to say. I guess you could say I am happy and excited but scared at the same time. But, Sarah must be more scared than me.. John replied. Its understandable to be scared, but you've got each other to help out. Together, you can come through anything. Jazzy smiled. John knew she was right.

You know, I've never loved someone as much as I love her. When I met her at my DVD signing I thought she was a good laugh - we talked like old friends, it was nice - makes a difference from the star struck fans I meet. John smiled thinking back to the day he fist set eyes on her. I never thought I'd see her again when she'd gone and I was a little gutted. I mean, I have a lot of fans that follow me everywhere I go - and I am greatful for there support - but she just hit me in a different way and I thought I'd never see her again. I never thought she'd be around waiting for me like she was.. John continued. When we started talking over the net, I then realised we had things in common and that I loved to talk with her. I knew from then that she was the one. Never in a million years did I ever think we'd be where we are now. You know, engaged and stuff.. John smiled. You look good together, you fit like a peice of a jigsaw puzzle. You look like a perfect couple. Jazzy complimented. Thanks! John replied.

You know, I wish I could meet my Mr Right, but that hasn't happened yet. But, I won't worry to much about that right now. After all, I have my career and future to focus on. Jazzy replied. He'll come along when you least expect it. When that person comes into your life, you'll know, trust me. It happened to me, it'll happen to you. John smiled. Thank you, John! Jazzy smiled. You're welcome, Jazzy. John smiled. Any way, we better be getting back to Sarah, she'll think we've forgotten about her! Jazzy laughed.

***

Standing by the pool table, with her money in hand, Sarah watched Jazzy and John walking towards her from the bar. They'd been there for a while chatting about something and Sarah was begining to think John was having second thoughts about thier relationship.. Sarah knew that John was a flirt, but he was begining to think he was starting to fall for Jazzy. Maybe this was all in her head because she was pregnant and hormonal, but she wasn't sure.

She was mad about him and was determined to show him she still loved him and cared about him. She was worried and scared of loosing him - her dream come true. As he sat down at the small table at the side of the pool table, with Jazzy, Sarah left the room and stood outside composing herself. As she looked up into the sky, a tear fell down her cheek. She wasn't going to loose him, not now, not ever.

***

I hope Sarah is alright.. I sat down and she left the room. Have I done something wrong? John asked concerened. I don't think so.. I doubt you'd have done anything wrong. Jazzy replied. Maybe I should go and talk to her.. Jazzy continued. No, I think I should talk to her, its probably me that's caused her upset. John replied getting up from the table. Don't be hard on her, she's going through a stressful time in her life - carrying an unborn child causes the hormones and emotions to go into overdrive. Just stay calm with her. Jazzy smiled.

***

Jazzy sat wondering what it was that was wrong with Sarah. She was getting worried about her now. With the state she was in when she left the room, it wouldn't do her any good to get wound up and stressed out over anything, it wouldn't do her any good. If she'd upset Sarah, she was very sorry and never meant it. Sitting by herself in the pub, she contemplated what was going on outside and what they were talking about.

***

Standing in the doorway of the pub, John watched quietly as Sarah was looking down at the ground. From the angle John was watching her, she looked like she was crying. John felt bad - even though he wasn't sure if he was to blame - he still felt like it was his fault she was feeling like this.

Are you alright, baby girl? John asked bending down beside her and stroking her leg. Feeling a little emotional and hermonal. Sarah replied. Are you sure I haven't upset you in any way? John asked. ...No... She replied with a pause. Talk to me, babe. I want to know what you're thinking.. John asked. OK.. Are you falling out of love with me? Sarah asked. No, of course not! Why would you think that?! John asked confused. I don't know, I guess I'm going through a phase where I think you're falling out of love with me. Sarah replied. I love the bones of you, I told you that earlier baby! How could I not love you? John replied. Because I'll soon be huge and you may not love me anymore. Sarah replied.

That will never happen! I love you unconditionaly, no matter what. John reasurred her. Baby girl, never think I'll never love you. I'll always love you, you're my soulmate John smiled. I am sorry I never meant to anger you! Sarah replied. Its fine babe, you haven't upset me. John smiled kissing her on the forehead. I just thought you were falling in love with Jazzy Sarah replied. Oh no, I love you, No one else. John smiled. I love Jazzy, but as a mate, nothing more. He continued. Are you sure? Sarah asked. 100% John smiled. I asked you to marry me, what more proof do you want? I love you baby girl, you KNOW I do. Like I said to you over the phone before I came here, I'm crazy about you John smiled helping her to her feet. I'm so sorry, I've been stupid! Sarah pleaded. Its OK, I forgive you John smiled.

Wrapping her arms tightly around him, she buried her head in his shoulder and smiled. As her head rose, John placed his hand under her chin and smiled softly. Silly mare John smiled. As they gazed into each others eyes, thier lips grew closer, feeling his breath on her lips, she leant in and kissed him softly. John placed his hands around her waist and continued to kiss her. Pulling away for a moment, she giggled to herself and smiled. And this is one of the reasons why I love you like I do. She smiled. Because I'm a good kisser? He smirked. Well, yes but that wasn't what I meant. I meant because you love me no matter what and you're really understanding Sarah smiled. I try to be babe. I know you must be feeling really uncomfortable right now - what with being pregnant and all - but I love you anyway. You still look hot to me John winked.

As she looked down, her face went bright red and she laughed. John turned her head up to his and kiss her again. Kissing again, her fingers ran through his hair and he pulled her in close. His hands sat softly on her hips before going around her waist again. They were in a romantic embrace before Jazzy spoke and they broke apart slowly. I take it you've kissed - looked like more than a kiss - and made up now then? Jazzy smiled. Yes, we have. John smiled, stepping behind Sarah, placing his arms around her waist again and kissing her on the neck softly. Sarah smiled softly and placed her hands on top of his and sighed. You OK baby girl? John asked kissing her cheek. Yeah, I am now. Now I know you're mine. Sarah smiled. Always have been, baby. Always will be. John smiled.

***

Sarah and Jazzy were having a game of pool and John sat and watched the game umfold before him. I've never had anyone beat me yet! Jazzy smiled. You've never played me yet, that could all change! Sarah smirked. She's beat me three times! John laughed. Only cause you were being cocky Sarah replied eyeing up her shot. Leaning on the table to take her shot, John was standing behind her and Jazzy was giggling.. What? Sarah replied. Nothing Jazzy replied innocently. Tell me Barrowman or I'll beat you so hard on your arse you won't be able to sit down. Sarah replied. Oh aye, you can smack my arse any day John winked bending over. I was dying to smack your arse when you leant over the table, but I stopped myself. John replied tapping her bottom and kissing her neck again softly. Stop it John, that's enough! Jazzy replied Its never enough for me, I could kiss her all day if I had the chance. John smiled. Get a room.. Jazzy laughed. No, I don't mind kissing her in public, I'm not afraid to show my feelings towards her anymore. John replied kissing Sarah on the cheek before letting her go.

Any good at darts, John? Jazzy asked. No, I can't play them to save my life. John replied. I love Darts on the telly, I watch it every year. Sarah replied. That's because you're not normal John laughed. I know I'm not, but I still like watching the Darts on the telly. Sarah replied, Jazzy laughed. If I'm not normal, neither are you! Sarah replied. Cheeky mare! John replied. Well, you're marrying me. Sarah smiled. I love you, that's why John replied. Exactly, so you must be able to put up with my randomness and nonesense Sarah replied. Of course I can. I am, after all, rather bouncy and outgoing myself. John smiled. You know, I never used to be like this, I used to be quiet and not say much Sarah replied. And now I can't shut you up! John replied hiding behind Jazzy laughing.

Sarah stood up from the table and chased him outside the pub and across the beer garden before grabbing him by his belt buckle and he stumbled over, landing on the floor in a heap and grabbing Sarah by her ankle and laughing. Mwahahahaha!! Got you! John replied. Get off me you menice! Sarah laughed. John clambered to his feet and grabbed hold of Sarah's waist and pulled her in for a kiss. As they parted, Jazzy was stood in the doorway in a fit of laughter. John's backside was covered in dust and Sarah had hand prints on her backside from John's hands. At which point John dashed across the beer garden and ran after Jazzy. She screamed and ran for her life down the path of the pub, still laughing at the thought of what John would do if he caught her. Oh god, I haven't laughed like this in ages! You two make me laugh, thank you for visiting me, I've had so much fun! Jazzy smiled catching her breath. We're not going home yet. John laughed. I know, but I just wanted to thank Sarah for coming to see me. And you, John, for giving me the chance to finally meet you. Jazzy smiled. Give her a hug, babe! Sarah shouted.

Come here then! John laughed opening his arms. I love a good hug! John smiled and gave her a tight hug before turning around.. Jazzy wants a Boogie Girl hug! John shouted. OK, I'm coming! Sarah replied running towards them. She stood infront of Jazzy, opened her arms and hugged her real tight. You and me have a lot in common Jazzy smiled letting her go. I hope you come and visit Cardiff sometime in the future! Sarah smiled. I will do! Jazzy smiled. You're invited to our big day! I want you there when I marry John Sarah asked. I would but I can't afford a ticket... Jazzy replied. Nonesense, you're coming! I'll buy you one, you're coming and that's all there is to it! John replied smiling. Oh bless you, John! Thank you ever so much! In that case, I'd love to come! Jazzy smiled. Woo hoo! Sarah beamed.

Lying in bed that night, Sarah lay resting her head on John's chest. I really enjoyed today, we haven't had a day like that in ages! Sarah smiled. Yeah, it was fun. John replied. You haven't been like that with me since I told you I was pregnant Sarah replied. Oh haven't I? Sorry about that baby, didn't realise. John replied. It was nice, I enjoyed it Sarah replied. What the kissing bit? John smirked. Not just that - although it was nice - I mean the running about like old times. The last time we had a day together like that, was when I first moved in with you and we first started out. Sarah replied. Oh you like that stuff - the soppy stuff - in that case, I have a plan for tomorrow.. John replied. What? Sarah asked. I'm going to take you for a day out, just the two of us, to the nearby lake. John smiled kissing her on the head.

The following morning, John and Sarah sat on a small blanket by the side of the lake, the sun was shining down on the ripples in the water. I sometimes wonder how I ended up here, lying in your arms. We've been together nearly a year now and I feel like we've been together for years. Sarah smiled. That's because we click and we're right together. We have a lot in common and know what we both like and dislike. John smiled looking down at her. His sunglasses were covering his eyes, but somehow, Sarah knew what he was thinking. Stroking the side of his face, Sarah was trying to get him to lower his face towards hers. As she went to kiss him, he grabbed her by her waist and lay beside her.

I wanna call the stars, down from the sky

I wanna live a day, That never dies

I wanna change the world, Only for you

All the impossible, I wanna do.

I wanna hold you close, under the rain

I wanna kiss your smile, And feel the pain

I know what's beautiful, Looking at you,

In a world of lies, You are the truth

And baby

Every time you touch me, I become a hero

I'll make you safe, No matter where you are

And bring you, Everything you ask for

Nothing is above me, I'm shining like a candle in the dark

When you tell me that you love me
John sang softly to Sarah as she lay there, looking ast him. He was determined to let her know he was hers and no body elses. She was his soul mate, his life, his world. Without her, he was nothing. She gave him the reason to smile and the feeling of knowing what true love was. Looking into her eyes, he felt it, the love she had for him - it felt nice - and he leant in to kiss her. As there lips met, he leant over her, and placed his hand over her and down on the ground beside her. Kissing her, he felt her hand touch his face softly. Pulling away slowly, he smiled at her and she slowly removed his sun glasses.

You know, you can be very soppy when you want to be. I haven't had this sort of treatment for awhile. Sarah smiled softly placing his sunglasses on the blanket beside her. Well, you know me, I'm full of surprises. John smiled. Nice surprises.. Most of the time She replied. Hey, what do you mean, most of the time?! I'll have you know, I am a man of many surprises.. John replied. I thought you were going to say a man of many talents for a moment then Sarah laughed. Well, yeah, that too. John smiled. You know, you make me laugh sometimes. Sarah replied. Its better than making you cry I guess, I hate doing that. John replied. That doesn't happen often. Sarah replied. That goodness! John replied. You make me smile and laugh, more than you make me cry. Sarah smiled. Good. I like hearing you laugh, it makes me smile. John replied.

Your belly laugh is contagious! But, I love hearing it! You have a lovely smile too. Sarah smiled. Thanks. John smiled. And they're really white too! Sarah replied. Well, I do have them whitened, but I have to, being in the industry I am in, its important that I look after my teeth. John replied. You know, before I met you, I have never known someone to floss as much as you do. Sarah giggled. Nothing worse than having food in my teeth.. Look, I have it with me now John replied pulling a pocket sized box of dental floss from his jacket pocket. You're a nutter! Sarah laughed. I know, but its become a habit of mine now, it goes everywhere with me. John giggled. Will it even go down the isle with you? Sarah replied jokingly. No.. But I will floss before I go to the church John replied. Are you joking?! Sarah asked. No, I'm being serious! John replied.

Sarah burst out laughing.. I think you may need to see someone about your obsession.. 'FA' Flossers Anonymous Sarah laughed. You know, you're not very sympathetic. John laughed. You know I'm joking.. Its a good habit to have Sarah smiled. Still, I think you could be a little more sympathetic John giggled. You know I love you really. Sarah smiled sitting up. Good job too, or I'd have to take it seriously and storm off in a huff John replied. Yeah, but you wont, you know me to well. You know when I am joking. Sarah replied kissing him on the cheek as he sat up. Any way, how are you feeling this morning? John asked. Not to bad, thank you for asking Sarah smiled.

We'll have to head home soon, have some moving to do John replied looking out at the lake. What do you mean? She asked. Oh yeah, remember when I told you Gavin was sorting out a viewing? Well I said yes to the house. Gavin is sorting out my finances for me while I'm here. John smiled. Oh OK then.. She replied. What's the matter? John asked. Where are you moving to? Sarah replied. What do you mean, me? You're coming too. John smiled. Oh, I thought you were moving away from me Sarah smiled. Don't be silly! John giggled. Well, I never realised you'd said yes to the house till now Sarah replied. I guess not, I see why you thought that now. John smiled. I'm not going to ask you to do too much, don't worry. John replied. I would if I could, but as you know, I'm not able to lift anything heavy. Sarah smiled. I know, I wont get you carrying heavy things. John smiled.

They'd been sitting by the side of the lake for most of the morning and the afternoon was drawing in. Sitting on the small blanket, Sarah was enjoying a nice cold orange juice that had been sitting in the picnic box for the last few hours and a packet of crisps. John was chomping his way through a ham salad sandwich and a packet of crisps. I rather like it here, its very quiet and peaceful. Sarah smiled. Me too, plus no body really knows me here, its great! John laughed. I'd hate to be in your shoes, having people in your face all the time. Sarah replied. I really don't mind it, but I hate it when people wont do as I ask and leave me be, that riles me. John replied sipping his water.

Look at all those ducks. Sarah replied looking out at the lake. No you can't feed them, we have no bread. John replied. As John turned his head to grab a sausage roll out of the box, Sarah grabbed his sandwich and ran towards the lake with it. Hey, that's my sandwich you've pinched. I was eating that! John replied. But, the duckies are hungry! Sarah replied John running up behind him. And so am I! John shouted. But you got a sausage roll to eat. Sarah smirked. That's not the point! John laughed. As she began breaking up the sandwhich to throw to the ducks, John grabbed her round the waist and tickled her. Haha, that's not fair, I don't like being tickled. She laughed. Good, you're not supposed to John replied kissing her neck. Put me down! Sarah giggled. Nope, I don't want to. John replied continuing to kiss her neck. Throw it the ducks then John replied pointing at the sandwich in her hand. Thought you didn't want me too Sarah smiled. I don't care now, I want your hands free. John replied. What for? Sarah replied throwing down the bread and turning to look at him. This! John replied picking her up off of her feet and swinging her round. Ahh! She screamed and began laughing. Don't scream like that, people will think I'm being inappropriate. John laughed. Don't you dare drop me! Sarah replied. I wont! John replied I can lift you, you're not that heavy. He replied. Not yet, no! Sarah laughed.

As he placed her feet on the ground, he took hold of her waist and looked at her lovingly. Did you know you're beautiful? John smiled. Sarah blushed. You are. He smiled. Stop it! She smiled. But, you are! John smiled kissing her on the lips softly. Thank you babe, you're not so bad looking yourself! She smiled. Why thank you! He winked. As he turned around to walk away, Sarah tapped John on the bottom and giggled. I felt that! John replied. Felt what, I didn't do anything? Sarah giggled innocently. Yeah OK, if you say so. John laughed. OK, maybe I did, but it was just a little tap, nothing major Sarah smiled.

Sitting on the grass, the sun had gone in and it was begining to get cold. I'm feeling a little cold now the sun has gone in. Sarah smiled. Here, you can have this. John replied draping his jacket over her shoulders. Thanks babe, sure you wont get cold? Sarah replied. Keeping you warm is more important. John smiled as he sat behind her and wrapped his arms around her. Feel warmer now? He asked. Yes very, thank you She smiled. You're welcome He smiled. Must get you home soon, its getting late John smiled. Yes dad! She giggled. Cheeky mare! John laughed. I've really enjoyed today. She smiled. Good, so have I He replied. When are we moving? Sarah asked starting to pack up the picnic. I'll sort that out when we get home John replied.

Just thought, I better be going home soon, I have my first scan next week.. Don't know if your busy then, only, I was going to see if you were coming? Sarah asked. Of course I'll come. And if I was busy that day, I am not any more. John smiled. Didn't realise it was that time already! He replied. I know, ten weeks has flown by hasn't it She smiled. I never realised you were that far a long, I thought you were only like, just over a month! I am really sorry, I never realised! John apologised. Its fine babe, as long as you don't miss his or her birth, I forgive you. Sarah smiled. Like I told you when you first told me, I'll be with you every step of the way. I'll be at every scan and antinatal class with you John smiled. Thanks, could really do with your support. She smiled. You're welcome. I want to be there with you, I'm actually getting excited about it now, I've gone passed being scared about becoming a dad, I'm now looking forward to it! John smiled.

A few days later, John and Sarah were sat in the airport waiting for their flight to arrive. The sun was shining outside, it beamed down on the runway tarmac. Looking out at the sky, John was in a little world of his own. He was thinking about how much he was looking forward to becoming a dad. And how his life would change, forever - but he was looking forward to it - he'd always wanted to become a dad at some point. Smiling to himself, the boarding announcement rang through the airport:

We regret to inform customers, that the next flight from Vermont Airport, to Heathrow Airport, London, UK has been delayed, due to unscheduled maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. It boomed.

Oh great! Now we're stuck here in the airport for hours! John replied annoyed. Its not all bad, you have me.. Sarah smiled. I know, I don't mean it like that.. I just hate waiting around in airports.. John replied. Who doesn't.. Sarah replied taking out her book. Just sit down and relax, there is no rush. She replied looking up at him as he stood there, with a face like thunder.

Do you remember telling me about that lady who had her bag snatched from the Airport? John asked sitting down beside her. Yes, what about it? Sarah replied. I was wondering, did they manage to catch the thug? John replied. Yes, only because I stopped him.. Sarah replied, her head in her book. Did you? John replied. Yes, I did. She replied. You mean to tell me, you ran across a busy airport in your condition? John replied. Yes. What did you expect me to do? Let some thug steal a lovely old ladies hang bag and forget about it? No! That's not me, you know that! Nothing riles me more than an elderly person being disrespected and having their personal belongings pinched! Sarah replied. I'm not saying it was a bad thing to do, I just think you could of let the security guard catch him. John replied. I would of done, but I ran faster than the security guard did! Sarah laughed. God, you must of run at some speed then! John replied. Indeed I did. Sarah smiled.

You know I can run fast when I want to, sometimes faster than you and you have longer legs than me! Sarah replied. You're not that much smaller than me.. Only about 2 inches difference. John replied. Well yes, but that's not what I meant. I meant you should be able to run faster than me, being an entertainer and all. Sarah replied. What has that got to do with anything? John asked. Because you do a lot of dancing and moving about.. So you have to be pretty fit to do that.. Sarah replied. Well, I suppose so.. John replied. So, what are we going to do now for the next few hours? Sarah asked. I don't know, I haven't thought that far ahead.. John replied. Not very organised, are you? Sarah giggled. Only when I feel like it. John laughed.

Sitting reading her book, a sudden feeling of nausea flushed over her.. I feel sick all of a sudden.. She replied looking a little hot. Have you eaten yet today? John asked. Yeah, Jazzy made me breakfast before we left, she demanded I ate something before I left.. Sarah replied looking down. Do you feel like you're going to be sick, or just feel queezy? John replied. I haven't had the feeling you get before you're sick, no.. She replied. As she sat there, head in her hands, sweat began forming on her forehead. As John looked down at her, he noticed she was going a little red faced and was staring to sweat, so removed her coat. You'll have to come with me, I don't feel at all right.. Sarah pleaded with him as she stood up from the seat. Sure, I'll come with you. John replied collecting their belongings.

As she reached the disabled toilet, the nausea hit her again and she felt faint. Sit down there, just in case you are sick.. John replied putting the stuff on the ground by the locked door. As she sat there, clenching her stomach, she burst into tears. This feels really uncomfortable, I don't like it.. Sarah replied. I know you don't, I can tell. But, you'll be alright, just sit there for a little while longer. John smiled rubbing her back. If you need to be sick, be sick, don't fight it. John replied. Sarah sat there, feeling all warm and fuzzing. Before she could speak, she threw up in the toilet bowl. I think this is where your morning sickness begins. John replied. Oh great! She replied...

A few hours later, they boarded the plane. John sat, buckling up his seat belt and Sarah was placing the bags in the over head compartment.. She looked down for a moment.. John sat there looking around, his hands were shaking.. Eh, it'll be alright! She reassured him. As she watched him sitting there, looking a little worried she realised why.. John was a man that flew alot and rather often, but still had a fear of flying. Look, I found this in the magazine when I was sitting in the airport the other week. Sarah replied showing him a picture of a wedding dress she had found. That looks stunning and I bet you'd look amazing in it. John smiled. I was talking to Jazzy about the wedding the other day when we were in the pub? John continued. I wasn't sure weather we were going modern, you know, three piece suit. Or go back to my Scottish roots? He smiled. I was thinking, I'd love to see you in a suit.. With maybe some Scottish traditions at the wedding reception?? She smiled. Now, that's a good idea.. Best of both worlds.. John smiled.

You I know, I never told you this before, but I do have Scottish in my DNA, my mum's mother was born in Scotland, so she's half scottish. So that makes me, one quater Scottish, three quaters English. Sarah smiled. Oh, I never knew that - till now, obviously! John laughed. We should really start to organise a few things for the wedding and maybe the nursery.. Sarah smiled. Yeah, I've been thinking about the nursery too.. Obviously, until we know what we're having, we can't really do the colour scheme bit yet.. John replied. Yeah, maybe the nursery should be the first thing on our list, considering he or she will be here before we tie the knot. John replied. The wedding may need to be put on hold for a while, until the baby is a little older. Otherwise, we'll have to much on our plate to deal with. Sarah replied. Yeah, it would probably be the best idea. John smiled..

Sitting with his ipod in his ears, and Sarah leaning on his chest, with his arm over her. John was nudged by a young woman behind him. Sorry to disturb you like this.. But I was just wondering, could you sign this for my daugter, she adores you! The lady smiled. Sure John replied taking the paper for the lady's hand and signed it. Thank you very much. She replied taking it from him without nudging Sarah to much with his arm. No problem He smiled. As he settled back in his seat, Sarah awoke. Sorry, did I disturb you? John asked. No. She smiled. Oh that's OK then. John smiled. As she shuffled out of her seat to go to the toilet, John was spotted by a kid who was sitting a few seats back. Mummy, that's Captain Jack! He shouted. John sat a giggled to himself. Leaning over Sarah's empty seat, he gave the little lad a Captain Jack salute and sat back in his seat.. The little lad went quiet with shock. A few moments later, the same little lad came running down the isle of the plane. Hi there, Jack! My name is Thomas, I am seven years old and I think you are really cool! He beamed. Well thank you, Thomas! John smiled. Can I have your autograph please? He asked politely. Of course you can! John replied signing the little lads Captain Jack figurine. Now you be a good boy for you mum and dad John replied saluting the lad again.

As the little lad ran back to his seat, Sarah returned from the loo. I see you had a little visitor? She smiled. Yes I did, bless him. John smiled. As Sarah sat down in her seat, a young lad shoved passed her without saying sorry. I'll get him when he comes back John whispered as the young lad wandered down the isle. John, just leave it, I'm fine She smiled. No, I won't. He should never have shoved you to begin with, he could of just politely waited for you to sit down, not shove you like that. John replied. Swap seats... John replied they swapped seats and he sat by the isle. As John was looking down at his ipod screen, the young lad appeared again. Standing up in the isle, Sarah's head looked down as John squared up to the lad, about late 20's, early 30's in the isle. Excuse me. John began. Would you mind apologising to my fiancée for your ignorance and barging passed her. John asked politely. But I didn't The lad replied. Don't play dumb with me, I was sat here when you pushed passed, I am not blind and I am curtainly NOT stupid.. John replied.

As the lad looked over at Sarah, his mate stood up from his seat. I'm not trying to cause a scene, but your mate here, did push my fiancée. John replied looking at him. Ben, just say sorry and he'll let you pass, its not that hard. His mate replied. But, I never did anything The lad replied. Actually, you did, I saw you push passed without waiting for her to sit down. So apologise, and don't be so inconsiderate His mate replied. Oh for goodness sake! The lad replied. Ben, do it, NOW! Don't make a fool of yourself! His mate replied. OK, I am sorry The lad said to Sarah. Apology accepted Sarah replied and John let him pass. Miserable get The lad mumbled under his breath. Same to you John smirked sitting back down. You tell him, Jack! The little lad roared. John sat down and laughed to himself before turning to the lad and saluting him again.

This was such a fun chapter to read. Made me smile and again, your attention to details makes me feel like I'm really there talking with John and Sarah! Brilliant and keep up the wonderful work!
