-- TWENTY --
Standing at the bar with Jazzy, John seemed to be a little quieter than earlier that evening, like something had happened he was embarrassed about. Jazzy wondered what she'd done wrong. Is something wrong? You haven't spoken much since we came indoors. Jazzy asked him concerned. I really apologise for my despicable behaviour out there earlier on.. I don't know what came over me. John apologised. No need to be sorry, you haven't done anything wrong. Jazzy smiled. I really don't want you to feel I'm trying anything, because I am not, this is just the way I am. I'm an outgoing guy who has a tendency to flirt. John replied.
I never thought you were.. Jazzy replied. Good. I mean, I think you're a pretty woman and all and I do love you, but as a friend, nothing more. John smiled. Its fine, I never thought you fancied me anyway Jazzy smiled. I just wanted to apologise for my stupid, insensitive behaviour outside and back at the house. John replied. Apology accepted. Jazzy smiled. Is there something else on your mind that's bothering you? Jazzy asked. I've been thinking about the wedding.. I mean, we've not even started planning it yet! John replied. When are you tieing the knot? Jazzy asked. Next year I think, after the baby is born. I don't know weather to go back to my Scottish roots and have a kilt or go modern and have a the piece suit.. John replied. Why not sit down with her tomorrow and talk it through.. Make a start on the planning? Jazzy asked. But, we have to do the nursery and things for when the baby arrives. John replied. Relax, you don't know what you're having yet and besides, picking colour schemes is easier when you know what the baby's gender is Jazzy smiled.
Although, can I ask a personal question? Jazzy asked. Yes.. Any thing.. John replied. Are you sure you're not having second thoughts? About the baby and stuff. I mean, when the baby is raised in a conversation you seem to be reluctant to talk about it. Jazzy asked. Oh no, far from it. I just never know what to say. I guess you could say I am happy and excited but scared at the same time. But, Sarah must be more scared than me.. John replied. Its understandable to be scared, but you've got each other to help out. Together, you can come through anything. Jazzy smiled. John knew she was right.
You know, I've never loved someone as much as I love her. When I met her at my DVD signing I thought she was a good laugh - we talked like old friends, it was nice - makes a difference from the star struck fans I meet. John smiled thinking back to the day he fist set eyes on her. I never thought I'd see her again when she'd gone and I was a little gutted. I mean, I have a lot of fans that follow me everywhere I go - and I am greatful for there support - but she just hit me in a different way and I thought I'd never see her again. I never thought she'd be around waiting for me like she was.. John continued. When we started talking over the net, I then realised we had things in common and that I loved to talk with her. I knew from then that she was the one. Never in a million years did I ever think we'd be where we are now. You know, engaged and stuff.. John smiled. You look good together, you fit like a peice of a jigsaw puzzle. You look like a perfect couple. Jazzy complimented. Thanks! John replied.
You know, I wish I could meet my Mr Right, but that hasn't happened yet. But, I won't worry to much about that right now. After all, I have my career and future to focus on. Jazzy replied. He'll come along when you least expect it. When that person comes into your life, you'll know, trust me. It happened to me, it'll happen to you. John smiled. Thank you, John! Jazzy smiled. You're welcome, Jazzy. John smiled. Any way, we better be getting back to Sarah, she'll think we've forgotten about her! Jazzy laughed.

Standing by the pool table, with her money in hand, Sarah watched Jazzy and John walking towards her from the bar. They'd been there for a while chatting about something and Sarah was begining to think John was having second thoughts about thier relationship.. Sarah knew that John was a flirt, but he was begining to think he was starting to fall for Jazzy. Maybe this was all in her head because she was pregnant and hormonal, but she wasn't sure.
She was mad about him and was determined to show him she still loved him and cared about him. She was worried and scared of loosing him - her dream come true. As he sat down at the small table at the side of the pool table, with Jazzy, Sarah left the room and stood outside composing herself. As she looked up into the sky, a tear fell down her cheek. She wasn't going to loose him, not now, not ever.
***
I hope Sarah is alright.. I sat down and she left the room. Have I done something wrong? John asked concerened. I don't think so.. I doubt you'd have done anything wrong. Jazzy replied. Maybe I should go and talk to her.. Jazzy continued. No, I think I should talk to her, its probably me that's caused her upset. John replied getting up from the table. Don't be hard on her, she's going through a stressful time in her life - carrying an unborn child causes the hormones and emotions to go into overdrive. Just stay calm with her. Jazzy smiled.
***
Jazzy sat wondering what it was that was wrong with Sarah. She was getting worried about her now. With the state she was in when she left the room, it wouldn't do her any good to get wound up and stressed out over anything, it wouldn't do her any good. If she'd upset Sarah, she was very sorry and never meant it. Sitting by herself in the pub, she contemplated what was going on outside and what they were talking about.
***
Standing in the doorway of the pub, John watched quietly as Sarah was looking down at the ground. From the angle John was watching her, she looked like she was crying. John felt bad - even though he wasn't sure if he was to blame - he still felt like it was his fault she was feeling like this.
Are you alright, baby girl? John asked bending down beside her and stroking her leg. Feeling a little emotional and hermonal. Sarah replied. Are you sure I haven't upset you in any way? John asked. ...No... She replied with a pause. Talk to me, babe. I want to know what you're thinking.. John asked. OK.. Are you falling out of love with me? Sarah asked. No, of course not! Why would you think that?! John asked confused. I don't know, I guess I'm going through a phase where I think you're falling out of love with me. Sarah replied. I love the bones of you, I told you that earlier baby! How could I not love you? John replied. Because I'll soon be huge and you may not love me anymore. Sarah replied.
That will never happen! I love you unconditionaly, no matter what. John reasurred her. Baby girl, never think I'll never love you. I'll always love you, you're my soulmate John smiled. I am sorry I never meant to anger you! Sarah replied. Its fine babe, you haven't upset me. John smiled kissing her on the forehead. I just thought you were falling in love with Jazzy Sarah replied. Oh no, I love you, No one else. John smiled. I love Jazzy, but as a mate, nothing more. He continued. Are you sure? Sarah asked. 100% John smiled. I asked you to marry me, what more proof do you want? I love you baby girl, you KNOW I do. Like I said to you over the phone before I came here, I'm crazy about you John smiled helping her to her feet. I'm so sorry, I've been stupid! Sarah pleaded. Its OK, I forgive you John smiled.
Wrapping her arms tightly around him, she buried her head in his shoulder and smiled. As her head rose, John placed his hand under her chin and smiled softly. Silly mare John smiled. As they gazed into each others eyes, thier lips grew closer, feeling his breath on her lips, she leant in and kissed him softly. John placed his hands around her waist and continued to kiss her. Pulling away for a moment, she giggled to herself and smiled. And this is one of the reasons why I love you like I do. She smiled. Because I'm a good kisser? He smirked. Well, yes but that wasn't what I meant. I meant because you love me no matter what and you're really understanding Sarah smiled. I try to be babe. I know you must be feeling really uncomfortable right now - what with being pregnant and all - but I love you anyway. You still look hot to me John winked.
As she looked down, her face went bright red and she laughed. John turned her head up to his and kiss her again. Kissing again, her fingers ran through his hair and he pulled her in close. His hands sat softly on her hips before going around her waist again. They were in a romantic embrace before Jazzy spoke and they broke apart slowly. I take it you've kissed - looked like more than a kiss - and made up now then? Jazzy smiled. Yes, we have. John smiled, stepping behind Sarah, placing his arms around her waist again and kissing her on the neck softly. Sarah smiled softly and placed her hands on top of his and sighed. You OK baby girl? John asked kissing her cheek. Yeah, I am now. Now I know you're mine. Sarah smiled. Always have been, baby. Always will be. John smiled.
***
Sarah and Jazzy were having a game of pool and John sat and watched the game umfold before him. I've never had anyone beat me yet! Jazzy smiled. You've never played me yet, that could all change! Sarah smirked. She's beat me three times! John laughed. Only cause you were being cocky Sarah replied eyeing up her shot. Leaning on the table to take her shot, John was standing behind her and Jazzy was giggling.. What? Sarah replied. Nothing Jazzy replied innocently. Tell me Barrowman or I'll beat you so hard on your arse you won't be able to sit down. Sarah replied. Oh aye, you can smack my arse any day John winked bending over. I was dying to smack your arse when you leant over the table, but I stopped myself. John replied tapping her bottom and kissing her neck again softly. Stop it John, that's enough! Jazzy replied Its never enough for me, I could kiss her all day if I had the chance. John smiled. Get a room.. Jazzy laughed. No, I don't mind kissing her in public, I'm not afraid to show my feelings towards her anymore. John replied kissing Sarah on the cheek before letting her go.
Any good at darts, John? Jazzy asked. No, I can't play them to save my life. John replied. I love Darts on the telly, I watch it every year. Sarah replied. That's because you're not normal John laughed. I know I'm not, but I still like watching the Darts on the telly. Sarah replied, Jazzy laughed. If I'm not normal, neither are you! Sarah replied. Cheeky mare! John replied. Well, you're marrying me. Sarah smiled. I love you, that's why John replied. Exactly, so you must be able to put up with my randomness and nonesense Sarah replied. Of course I can. I am, after all, rather bouncy and outgoing myself. John smiled. You know, I never used to be like this, I used to be quiet and not say much Sarah replied. And now I can't shut you up! John replied hiding behind Jazzy laughing.
Sarah stood up from the table and chased him outside the pub and across the beer garden before grabbing him by his belt buckle and he stumbled over, landing on the floor in a heap and grabbing Sarah by her ankle and laughing. Mwahahahaha!! Got you! John replied. Get off me you menice! Sarah laughed. John clambered to his feet and grabbed hold of Sarah's waist and pulled her in for a kiss. As they parted, Jazzy was stood in the doorway in a fit of laughter. John's backside was covered in dust and Sarah had hand prints on her backside from John's hands. At which point John dashed across the beer garden and ran after Jazzy. She screamed and ran for her life down the path of the pub, still laughing at the thought of what John would do if he caught her. Oh god, I haven't laughed like this in ages! You two make me laugh, thank you for visiting me, I've had so much fun! Jazzy smiled catching her breath. We're not going home yet. John laughed. I know, but I just wanted to thank Sarah for coming to see me. And you, John, for giving me the chance to finally meet you. Jazzy smiled. Give her a hug, babe! Sarah shouted.
Come here then! John laughed opening his arms. I love a good hug! John smiled and gave her a tight hug before turning around.. Jazzy wants a Boogie Girl hug! John shouted. OK, I'm coming! Sarah replied running towards them. She stood infront of Jazzy, opened her arms and hugged her real tight. You and me have a lot in common Jazzy smiled letting her go. I hope you come and visit Cardiff sometime in the future! Sarah smiled. I will do! Jazzy smiled. You're invited to our big day! I want you there when I marry John Sarah asked. I would but I can't afford a ticket... Jazzy replied. Nonesense, you're coming! I'll buy you one, you're coming and that's all there is to it! John replied smiling. Oh bless you, John! Thank you ever so much! In that case, I'd love to come! Jazzy smiled. Woo hoo! Sarah beamed.
***
Lying in bed that night, Sarah lay resting her head on John's chest. I really enjoyed today, we haven't had a day like that in ages! Sarah smiled. Yeah, it was fun. John replied. You haven't been like that with me since I told you I was pregnant Sarah replied. Oh haven't I? Sorry about that baby, didn't realise. John replied. It was nice, I enjoyed it Sarah replied. What the kissing bit? John smirked. Not just that - although it was nice - I mean the running about like old times. The last time we had a day together like that, was when I first moved in with you and we first started out. Sarah replied. Oh you like that stuff - the soppy stuff - in that case, I have a plan for tomorrow.. John replied. What? Sarah asked. I'm going to take you for a day out, just the two of us, to the nearby lake. John smiled kissing her on the head.
***
The following morning, John and Sarah sat on a small blanket by the side of the lake, the sun was shining down on the ripples in the water. I sometimes wonder how I ended up here, lying in your arms. We've been together nearly a year now and I feel like we've been together for years. Sarah smiled. That's because we click and we're right together. We have a lot in common and know what we both like and dislike. John smiled looking down at her. His sunglasses were covering his eyes, but somehow, Sarah knew what he was thinking. Stroking the side of his face, Sarah was trying to get him to lower his face towards hers. As she went to kiss him, he grabbed her by her waist and lay beside her.
I wanna call the stars, down from the sky
I wanna live a day, That never dies
I wanna change the world, Only for you
All the impossible, I wanna do.
I wanna hold you close, under the rain
I wanna kiss your smile, And feel the pain
I know what's beautiful, Looking at you,
In a world of lies, You are the truth
And baby
Every time you touch me, I become a hero
I'll make you safe, No matter where you are
And bring you, Everything you ask for
Nothing is above me, I'm shining like a candle in the dark
When you tell me that you love me John sang softly to Sarah as she lay there, looking ast him. He was determined to let her know he was hers and no body elses. She was his soul mate, his life, his world. Without her, he was nothing. She gave him the reason to smile and the feeling of knowing what true love was. Looking into her eyes, he felt it, the love she had for him - it felt nice - and he leant in to kiss her. As there lips met, he leant over her, and placed his hand over her and down on the ground beside her. Kissing her, he felt her hand touch his face softly. Pulling away slowly, he smiled at her and she slowly removed his sun glasses.
You know, you can be very soppy when you want to be. I haven't had this sort of treatment for awhile. Sarah smiled softly placing his sunglasses on the blanket beside her. Well, you know me, I'm full of surprises. John smiled. Nice surprises.. Most of the time She replied. Hey, what do you mean, most of the time?! I'll have you know, I am a man of many surprises.. John replied. I thought you were going to say a man of many talents for a moment then Sarah laughed. Well, yeah, that too. John smiled. You know, you make me laugh sometimes. Sarah replied. Its better than making you cry I guess, I hate doing that. John replied. That doesn't happen often. Sarah replied. That goodness! John replied. You make me smile and laugh, more than you make me cry. Sarah smiled. Good. I like hearing you laugh, it makes me smile. John replied.
Your belly laugh is contagious! But, I love hearing it! You have a lovely smile too. Sarah smiled. Thanks. John smiled. And they're really white too! Sarah replied. Well, I do have them whitened, but I have to, being in the industry I am in, its important that I look after my teeth. John replied. You know, before I met you, I have never known someone to floss as much as you do. Sarah giggled. Nothing worse than having food in my teeth.. Look, I have it with me now John replied pulling a pocket sized box of dental floss from his jacket pocket. You're a nutter! Sarah laughed. I know, but its become a habit of mine now, it goes everywhere with me. John giggled. Will it even go down the isle with you? Sarah replied jokingly. No.. But I will floss before I go to the church John replied. Are you joking?! Sarah asked. No, I'm being serious! John replied.
Sarah burst out laughing.. I think you may need to see someone about your obsession.. 'FA' Flossers Anonymous Sarah laughed. You know, you're not very sympathetic. John laughed. You know I'm joking.. Its a good habit to have Sarah smiled. Still, I think you could be a little more sympathetic John giggled. You know I love you really. Sarah smiled sitting up. Good job too, or I'd have to take it seriously and storm off in a huff John replied. Yeah, but you wont, you know me to well. You know when I am joking. Sarah replied kissing him on the cheek as he sat up. Any way, how are you feeling this morning? John asked. Not to bad, thank you for asking Sarah smiled.
We'll have to head home soon, have some moving to do John replied looking out at the lake. What do you mean? She asked. Oh yeah, remember when I told you Gavin was sorting out a viewing? Well I said yes to the house. Gavin is sorting out my finances for me while I'm here. John smiled. Oh OK then.. She replied. What's the matter? John asked. Where are you moving to? Sarah replied. What do you mean, me? You're coming too. John smiled. Oh, I thought you were moving away from me Sarah smiled. Don't be silly! John giggled. Well, I never realised you'd said yes to the house till now Sarah replied. I guess not, I see why you thought that now. John smiled. I'm not going to ask you to do too much, don't worry. John replied. I would if I could, but as you know, I'm not able to lift anything heavy. Sarah smiled. I know, I wont get you carrying heavy things. John smiled.
***
They'd been sitting by the side of the lake for most of the morning and the afternoon was drawing in. Sitting on the small blanket, Sarah was enjoying a nice cold orange juice that had been sitting in the picnic box for the last few hours and a packet of crisps. John was chomping his way through a ham salad sandwich and a packet of crisps. I rather like it here, its very quiet and peaceful. Sarah smiled. Me too, plus no body really knows me here, its great! John laughed. I'd hate to be in your shoes, having people in your face all the time. Sarah replied. I really don't mind it, but I hate it when people wont do as I ask and leave me be, that riles me. John replied sipping his water.
Look at all those ducks. Sarah replied looking out at the lake. No you can't feed them, we have no bread. John replied. As John turned his head to grab a sausage roll out of the box, Sarah grabbed his sandwich and ran towards the lake with it. Hey, that's my sandwich you've pinched. I was eating that! John replied. But, the duckies are hungry! Sarah replied John running up behind him. And so am I! John shouted. But you got a sausage roll to eat. Sarah smirked. That's not the point! John laughed. As she began breaking up the sandwhich to throw to the ducks, John grabbed her round the waist and tickled her. Haha, that's not fair, I don't like being tickled. She laughed. Good, you're not supposed to John replied kissing her neck. Put me down! Sarah giggled. Nope, I don't want to. John replied continuing to kiss her neck. Throw it the ducks then John replied pointing at the sandwich in her hand. Thought you didn't want me too Sarah smiled. I don't care now, I want your hands free. John replied. What for? Sarah replied throwing down the bread and turning to look at him. This! John replied picking her up off of her feet and swinging her round. Ahh! She screamed and began laughing. Don't scream like that, people will think I'm being inappropriate. John laughed. Don't you dare drop me! Sarah replied. I wont! John replied I can lift you, you're not that heavy. He replied. Not yet, no! Sarah laughed.
As he placed her feet on the ground, he took hold of her waist and looked at her lovingly. Did you know you're beautiful? John smiled. Sarah blushed. You are. He smiled. Stop it! She smiled. But, you are! John smiled kissing her on the lips softly. Thank you babe, you're not so bad looking yourself! She smiled. Why thank you! He winked. As he turned around to walk away, Sarah tapped John on the bottom and giggled. I felt that! John replied. Felt what, I didn't do anything? Sarah giggled innocently. Yeah OK, if you say so. John laughed. OK, maybe I did, but it was just a little tap, nothing major Sarah smiled.

Sitting on the grass, the sun had gone in and it was begining to get cold. I'm feeling a little cold now the sun has gone in. Sarah smiled. Here, you can have this. John replied draping his jacket over her shoulders. Thanks babe, sure you wont get cold? Sarah replied. Keeping you warm is more important. John smiled as he sat behind her and wrapped his arms around her. Feel warmer now? He asked. Yes very, thank you She smiled. You're welcome He smiled. Must get you home soon, its getting late John smiled. Yes dad! She giggled. Cheeky mare! John laughed. I've really enjoyed today. She smiled. Good, so have I He replied. When are we moving? Sarah asked starting to pack up the picnic. I'll sort that out when we get home John replied.
Just thought, I better be going home soon, I have my first scan next week.. Don't know if your busy then, only, I was going to see if you were coming? Sarah asked. Of course I'll come. And if I was busy that day, I am not any more. John smiled. Didn't realise it was that time already! He replied. I know, ten weeks has flown by hasn't it She smiled. I never realised you were that far a long, I thought you were only like, just over a month! I am really sorry, I never realised! John apologised. Its fine babe, as long as you don't miss his or her birth, I forgive you. Sarah smiled. Like I told you when you first told me, I'll be with you every step of the way. I'll be at every scan and antinatal class with you John smiled. Thanks, could really do with your support. She smiled. You're welcome. I want to be there with you, I'm actually getting excited about it now, I've gone passed being scared about becoming a dad, I'm now looking forward to it! John smiled.

A few days later, John and Sarah were sat in the airport waiting for their flight to arrive. The sun was shining outside, it beamed down on the runway tarmac. Looking out at the sky, John was in a little world of his own. He was thinking about how much he was looking forward to becoming a dad. And how his life would change, forever - but he was looking forward to it - he'd always wanted to become a dad at some point. Smiling to himself, the boarding announcement rang through the airport:
We regret to inform customers, that the next flight from Vermont Airport, to Heathrow Airport, London, UK has been delayed, due to unscheduled maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. It boomed.
Oh great! Now we're stuck here in the airport for hours! John replied annoyed. Its not all bad, you have me.. Sarah smiled. I know, I don't mean it like that.. I just hate waiting around in airports.. John replied. Who doesn't.. Sarah replied taking out her book. Just sit down and relax, there is no rush. She replied looking up at him as he stood there, with a face like thunder.
Do you remember telling me about that lady who had her bag snatched from the Airport? John asked sitting down beside her. Yes, what about it? Sarah replied. I was wondering, did they manage to catch the thug? John replied. Yes, only because I stopped him.. Sarah replied, her head in her book. Did you? John replied. Yes, I did. She replied. You mean to tell me, you ran across a busy airport in your condition? John replied. Yes. What did you expect me to do? Let some thug steal a lovely old ladies hang bag and forget about it? No! That's not me, you know that! Nothing riles me more than an elderly person being disrespected and having their personal belongings pinched! Sarah replied. I'm not saying it was a bad thing to do, I just think you could of let the security guard catch him. John replied. I would of done, but I ran faster than the security guard did! Sarah laughed. God, you must of run at some speed then! John replied. Indeed I did. Sarah smiled.
You know I can run fast when I want to, sometimes faster than you and you have longer legs than me! Sarah replied. You're not that much smaller than me.. Only about 2 inches difference. John replied. Well yes, but that's not what I meant. I meant you should be able to run faster than me, being an entertainer and all. Sarah replied. What has that got to do with anything? John asked. Because you do a lot of dancing and moving about.. So you have to be pretty fit to do that.. Sarah replied. Well, I suppose so.. John replied. So, what are we going to do now for the next few hours? Sarah asked. I don't know, I haven't thought that far ahead.. John replied. Not very organised, are you? Sarah giggled. Only when I feel like it. John laughed.
Sitting reading her book, a sudden feeling of nausea flushed over her.. I feel sick all of a sudden.. She replied looking a little hot. Have you eaten yet today? John asked. Yeah, Jazzy made me breakfast before we left, she demanded I ate something before I left.. Sarah replied looking down. Do you feel like you're going to be sick, or just feel queezy? John replied. I haven't had the feeling you get before you're sick, no.. She replied. As she sat there, head in her hands, sweat began forming on her forehead. As John looked down at her, he noticed she was going a little red faced and was staring to sweat, so removed her coat. You'll have to come with me, I don't feel at all right.. Sarah pleaded with him as she stood up from the seat. Sure, I'll come with you. John replied collecting their belongings.
As she reached the disabled toilet, the nausea hit her again and she felt faint. Sit down there, just in case you are sick.. John replied putting the stuff on the ground by the locked door. As she sat there, clenching her stomach, she burst into tears. This feels really uncomfortable, I don't like it.. Sarah replied. I know you don't, I can tell. But, you'll be alright, just sit there for a little while longer. John smiled rubbing her back. If you need to be sick, be sick, don't fight it. John replied. Sarah sat there, feeling all warm and fuzzing. Before she could speak, she threw up in the toilet bowl. I think this is where your morning sickness begins. John replied. Oh great! She replied...
***
A few hours later, they boarded the plane. John sat, buckling up his seat belt and Sarah was placing the bags in the over head compartment.. She looked down for a moment.. John sat there looking around, his hands were shaking.. Eh, it'll be alright! She reassured him. As she watched him sitting there, looking a little worried she realised why.. John was a man that flew alot and rather often, but still had a fear of flying. Look, I found this in the magazine when I was sitting in the airport the other week. Sarah replied showing him a picture of a wedding dress she had found. That looks stunning and I bet you'd look amazing in it. John smiled. I was talking to Jazzy about the wedding the other day when we were in the pub? John continued. I wasn't sure weather we were going modern, you know, three piece suit. Or go back to my Scottish roots? He smiled. I was thinking, I'd love to see you in a suit.. With maybe some Scottish traditions at the wedding reception?? She smiled. Now, that's a good idea.. Best of both worlds.. John smiled.
You I know, I never told you this before, but I do have Scottish in my DNA, my mum's mother was born in Scotland, so she's half scottish. So that makes me, one quater Scottish, three quaters English. Sarah smiled. Oh, I never knew that - till now, obviously! John laughed. We should really start to organise a few things for the wedding and maybe the nursery.. Sarah smiled. Yeah, I've been thinking about the nursery too.. Obviously, until we know what we're having, we can't really do the colour scheme bit yet.. John replied. Yeah, maybe the nursery should be the first thing on our list, considering he or she will be here before we tie the knot. John replied. The wedding may need to be put on hold for a while, until the baby is a little older. Otherwise, we'll have to much on our plate to deal with. Sarah replied. Yeah, it would probably be the best idea. John smiled..
Sitting with his ipod in his ears, and Sarah leaning on his chest, with his arm over her. John was nudged by a young woman behind him. Sorry to disturb you like this.. But I was just wondering, could you sign this for my daugter, she adores you! The lady smiled. Sure John replied taking the paper for the lady's hand and signed it. Thank you very much. She replied taking it from him without nudging Sarah to much with his arm. No problem He smiled. As he settled back in his seat, Sarah awoke. Sorry, did I disturb you? John asked. No. She smiled. Oh that's OK then. John smiled. As she shuffled out of her seat to go to the toilet, John was spotted by a kid who was sitting a few seats back. Mummy, that's Captain Jack! He shouted. John sat a giggled to himself. Leaning over Sarah's empty seat, he gave the little lad a Captain Jack salute and sat back in his seat.. The little lad went quiet with shock. A few moments later, the same little lad came running down the isle of the plane. Hi there, Jack! My name is Thomas, I am seven years old and I think you are really cool! He beamed. Well thank you, Thomas! John smiled. Can I have your autograph please? He asked politely. Of course you can! John replied signing the little lads Captain Jack figurine. Now you be a good boy for you mum and dad John replied saluting the lad again.
As the little lad ran back to his seat, Sarah returned from the loo. I see you had a little visitor? She smiled. Yes I did, bless him. John smiled. As Sarah sat down in her seat, a young lad shoved passed her without saying sorry. I'll get him when he comes back John whispered as the young lad wandered down the isle. John, just leave it, I'm fine She smiled. No, I won't. He should never have shoved you to begin with, he could of just politely waited for you to sit down, not shove you like that. John replied. Swap seats... John replied they swapped seats and he sat by the isle. As John was looking down at his ipod screen, the young lad appeared again. Standing up in the isle, Sarah's head looked down as John squared up to the lad, about late 20's, early 30's in the isle. Excuse me. John began. Would you mind apologising to my fiancée for your ignorance and barging passed her. John asked politely. But I didn't The lad replied. Don't play dumb with me, I was sat here when you pushed passed, I am not blind and I am curtainly NOT stupid.. John replied.
As the lad looked over at Sarah, his mate stood up from his seat. I'm not trying to cause a scene, but your mate here, did push my fiancée. John replied looking at him. Ben, just say sorry and he'll let you pass, its not that hard. His mate replied. But, I never did anything The lad replied. Actually, you did, I saw you push passed without waiting for her to sit down. So apologise, and don't be so inconsiderate His mate replied. Oh for goodness sake! The lad replied. Ben, do it, NOW! Don't make a fool of yourself! His mate replied. OK, I am sorry The lad said to Sarah. Apology accepted Sarah replied and John let him pass. Miserable get The lad mumbled under his breath. Same to you John smirked sitting back down. You tell him, Jack! The little lad roared. John sat down and laughed to himself before turning to the lad and saluting him again.
