Probably the one time a forum I was a staff member on was sold. At the time it was the only site I visited daily, and I actually really enjoyed posting there. When the new owner came in, however, he got rid of all the existing staff members and brought in his own.
It's quite disappointing when you think about it; especially as that forum is now nowhere near as active as it once was.

an all out battle between two members that bad mouthed each other not only all over the forum, but other forums where they were members as well. They were both responsible for taking a great forum where everyone got a long really well, and ripping it apart.
and then on this other forum, this one woman would not leave me alone. As soon as I would log on the PMs started coming in. If I did not reply to her posts, she would PM me, if I replied to other people's posts she would get angry, it became too much and I left.

Getting post-banned from a Walking Dead forum for 2 weeks....its' been about 4,5 months now and I'm still somewhat pissed over it.
Couple years ago I was on the Final Fantasy VII forum and the admin disappeared, but left some power-hungry lying politician-types in control. Long story short, I turned into a troll after being back stabbed and eventually left before the entire forum collapsed under the weight of all the lying and manipulation. Everyone hated it but no one was brave enough to point it out but a select few (me included).
Getting banned on Forum Promotion due to power hungry admins. I still remain banned to this day. And the only answer when I ask to get unbanned 'no' not even a capital or a proper sentence. Just 'no'. Nerdie in particular is very power hungry.

But as soon as I did another dumb admin there banned me.
So I gave up on FP. It's losing people's interest anyway.
