Not really, why on earth would someone get on a forum without joining to post in the first place?
If someone wants to post on a forum they should register an account. If they have a question and they dont want to register at that moment, they should use the Contact Us link to send the owner an email. Every forum should have a Contact Us page for this reason and for people having registration problems.
I'm in agreement with Nebulous. I would also like to add that having a forum for non-registered users of the forum, does attract a lot of spam and makes the board look bad for anyone seriously considering joining the community.
My personal opinion is there should be no guest forum. It's a waste of time and just adds extra stress onto the staff to maintain it.
