What is wrong with the "guns don’t kill people, people do" argument?

Well, for one, people also use cars to kill each other, such as the incident recently in Austria.

Knives. Such as the monk that slashed his brother and nearly killed him recently.

Airplanes. The most recent known example is the Germanwings "suicide".

Then there's the odd "murder by _____" fill in the blank with everything from "drowning" to "assault with ironing board".

Those who wish to do harm to others, will find a way to do it.

I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with it. Technically, people are required to operate the weapon in order for it to do any damage. And in that case, it was just a tool for the killing.

Just like a car can kill someone based on who's behind the wheel. It depends on who's pulling the trigger.

what about the people that get killed by getting "pistol whipped"?

same answer, it's the human that's doing the killing...

i haven't once seen a gun, a car, a knife or a bullet get arrested for murder...

The anti gun people are the most irrational people around. I mean if they want to ban guns then they should want to ban pools, cars, plastic bags, cleaning products, drugs of any kind, etc, etc.
