Homeless puppy saved from being put down

A homeless puppy who was going to be ethanised is now fighting-fit after an amazing recovery.

Krusty Kristy (so-called because of the skin condition she had when she was found) was virtually hairless and covered in painful looking sores and parasites when she was rescued from the streets.

The timid little girl was shaking with fear and cold when Vet Ranch first took her in, and after her first bath passed out in a towel, absolutely exhausted.

After treatment her skin began to clear up as her lovely black coat slowly grew back.

Nine weeks later she is happy, healthy and bouncing around like a puppy should – you would never even know how close she once was to death.

Vet Ranch, who rescued Kristy, think she may be a Great Dane-mix due to the speed at which she is growing.

‘You can see how much her personality has changed. She was terrified when she first got here,’ they said.
