is wal*mart bad or good?

regardless if wal*mart is shamefully exploiting poor chinese children and "helping" poor americans with jobs, they are not innocent from the bad things they've done in the past and continuing to do...

But what bad evil on purpose things? Every small to huge business makes mistakes I am not saying they are perfect.

And also...

they give more because they have more, and they became a giant off of the backs of slaves and destroying people...

they also donate because it's best for business and it's tax-deductible...

still don't mean they are innocent...

So if they gave nothing and gave it all to the government they would still be evil greedy bastards. They can't win with people who just plain out hate all corporations. LOL!

they do it because it's beneficial, they don't care about the government...

still doesn't make all the bad things that wal*mart did and still continuing to do just magically disappear, at least in my eyes it didn't...

You have no idea why they are doing it. But who cares why they are doing it. The point is they are helping more then anyone else and that amount of charity does not even include the other 150 million they give out in food every year. So I have yet to see a example of what makes them so bad.

so, you don't care if anyone does bad things just as long as they throw millions in your face and all of that bad stuff goes away?

you're trying to justify their actions because they give their dirty money away?

justice don't play like that...

justice don't get bought and sold...

No I am just seeing no examples of what makes them so horrible.

because you're over looking people's posts? :P

I have seen the posts just nothing showing the evidence that they are a evil company.

sounds like a personal problem to me? :|

As the nation’s largest retailer, second-largest corporation, and largest private employer (with 1.3 million workers), Wal-Mart made headlines this past year at an unprecedented rate. All too often, these headlines revolved around Wal-Mart’s infamous employment practices.

While Wal-Mart isn’t the only big box store criticized for its policies, it has become a symbol for much of what is wrong with employers. Wal-Mart reported a net income of over $11 billion last year—surely plenty of money to remedy some questionable workplace practices—yet stories persist about wage law violations, inadequate health care, exploitation of workers, and the retailer’s anti-union stance. Altogether, some 5,000 lawsuits are filed against Wal-Mart each year, or roughly 17 suits per working day.

Here’s a look back at the year according to Wal-Mart. It’s not pretty.

Your thoughts now about Wal-Mart being an evil company?

I see much of that article not agreeing with it. Such as Walmart wanting no unions in there company should be there right. And Walmart getting blamed for the bad things there vendors do.

And when you have 1.3 million employees mistakes are going to happen with bad employees just like when you have a million cops hired around the country a small percentage are not going to act in the higher standards you expect.
