OK, we all know the best possible thing the South African people can ever do is to blow an obnoxious horn. We get it. They can stop now.

Nice racist attempt.
Excuse me? How is that Racist? The comment was an indictment of the Host Nation, not a particular segment of their culture.

Is everybody blowing the horn Black?

Is every African Black? (That would be news to Charlize Theron who is African among others.)

Do you have to be a Black African to blow a vuvuzela at a soccer game?

Come on, work with me here... How is that comment an attempt at racism?
I dont think it was and i didn't get that message from reading your post.

Anna did, and I'd like to see her reasoning behind it.

Or... in the spirit of international sport... I could let it slide.

Thems fightin' words!

Just kidding. I think its funny how anything involving black people is automatically racist. South Africa is not all black people, so to call someone racist for mentioning something negative against South Africa is the racist one. DrLeftover could be black too, so how is that being racist?

Evidently there are a lot of racists around the world, including the 7 time Tour de France Winner, the entire French team, and two International television networks who are all complaining about the vuvuzela blowing.

But it would seem Anna has swooped in, made the accusation, then danced away happily never to follow up again.

In any case... if there is a soundtrack to Hell, it would feature that damned horn.

Australia suffered a shocking defeat at the hands of Germany early this morning. I just watched a recording of the game, and while Australia played alright, Germany were just too good. I expected Germany to win, but 4-0 is a bit extreme. Hopefully we can beat Serbia and Ghana to make it through to Round 2.

Was watching it today at work with some co-workers. All those horns going off made it sound like bee's buzzing. It was very annoying.

Everyone has been complaining about them, hardly bothered me when I was watching England v USA

Haha it was pretty obvious France was going to lose. They suck without Zidane giving headbutts.

I think Argentina are in with a great chance if they keep playing like they are. I'm going to tune into Germany vs Serbia right now, and I'm hoping Germany can kill Serbia, so Australia doesn't look so bad

.

EDIT: Half time, and Germany are down to a 10-man squad, losing 0-1 to Serbia.

So, what's the going rate to BUY A REF at the cup now?

Two refs today the German and US games were obviously playing favorites for fun and PROFIT!

Indeed. The ref for the Germany vs Serbia was crap. He gave out cards when he shouldn't have and he didn't give cards when he should have

JOHANNESBURG – The referee who disallowed a potential game-winning goal for the United States will face an expedited performance review from FIFA and is likely to be excluded from the rest of the World Cup, according to a FIFA source.

Koman Coulibaly from Mali disallowed Maurice Edu’s 86th-minute strike that would have given the USA a 3-2 lead over Slovenia at Ellis Park and likely would have led to a thrilling comeback victory Friday. Coulibaly appeared to rule that American midfielder Michael Bradley had impeded a Slovenian defender, even though video replays showed no infringement.
