What do they always say about driving into standing water?

Del. 1 between Dewey Beach and Bethany Beach is closed Sunday as water has breached the dune line with a Delaware State Police car running off the roadway north of Indian River Inlet. The beachfront at Rehoboth Beach is under water as high tide from Hurricane Sandy has come up to the dune line. City of Rehoboth Beach crews continue to remove benches and items from the boardwalk.

Up here in Pennsylvania and the mid-Atlantic we're just bracing for when Sandy meets that cold front. Only up here we call Sandy the Frankenstorm. We're expecting damaging winds, rain for the better part of the week, and tomorrow I heard there will be widespread power outages. All the schools have closed in preparation for what will happen, yesterday the highways were pretty packed, and generators are starting to sell out in stores.
