Id say smoking is...
Alcohol is worse for you than nicotine, even though Nicotine is a pesticide. Because alcohol sometimes makes you unable to control your actions when smoking doesnt. so the odds are you'll survive longer if you choose to smoke instead of drink.
Even though I'm even old enough to do either legally, I'd definitely assume that smoking is a greater hazard to your health than drinking.
I really think they can kill you either way but I chose Alcohol because it can alter the mind and whatnot.
They both not only affect you, but others around you.
Drunks will kill people, smoking has 2nd hand smoke.
They are both bad health wise if your addicted because drinking is hard on the liver, and smoking is hard on your lungs and skin and whole lot of other fun cancerous things

They are both as bad as each other, health wise. Though for the option of picking one, drinking is much worse in my opinion. Socially it has more ramifications than smoking.
Smoking. It's a filthy habit and I have a respiratory condition.
