For myself, I don't really have an active social life because nearly all my real-life friends live in the other side of Glasgow from me and I can only contact them on Facebook and I don't go out much. However, my social life will be more active once I start the work experience course later this month.

I'm sure most of us have a social life outside the Internet, as it would be sad if anyone just meets new people and contact them online. To me, that can lead to psychological problems.

Even with my hectic work schedule, I manage to have an active social life in RL. There's always something going on or some place to go and hang out with friends. Now that I'm dating, my social life is even busier!

There are some people, unfortunately that all they have is the internet to find friends or just just have fun. Many are disabled or perhaps suffer from a medical condition that keeps them glued to their computers. At least these people have an avenue to have an internet social life. The people who are able to go out into the real world and choose not to, are the ones that worry me. It's not healthy physically, emotionally or mentally.

I hang out with friends every once in awhile, and I go to school whenever it's in session which is equivalently hanging out with friends however, I don't have a calender filled with activities and plans.

Yes definitely. I go out with friends multiple times per week, though now I'm single again I do have more time for myself.

A lot of people, especially single / divorced females who are on their own

are not welcome in many places - they are viewed as threats by other females

who have husbands/boyfriends. So many lone females are not able to go out

and meet people in order to make any friends to go out with.

It's never happened to me nor have I seen it happen to other single/divorced females where I live. As a matter of fact, we go out of our way to make sure they are invited to join us where ever we go. Some single/divorced women are afraid to go out and that's their choice. Got to take that first big step out into the world in order to meet other people.

Yep.. although most of my free time is devoted to my kid, I still go out with or have friends over whenever we all have our busy schedules clear.

True, I've seen something like that happening a few times. Friends of mine who got kicked out of their group of high school friends because they're attractive and seen as a threat. They mostly have male friends now.

Of course I do have and nothing beats the happiness my friends gave me when we go out. We usually do silly things and shop all we want.
