Most of us using Chrome at moment either used to use Firefox back in the day or are too young to know about this… At least according to stats.

Firefox was a legend. It’s of course, still underused by millions and millions of people, but not the way it was before. It was without a doubt one of the most dominant software before. But, personally, though, I think that they got what they deserved. And I’m not positive about the product itself as of now.

This is going to be a long roller coaster, through the rabbit hole and… here we go...

One thing that irks me about Firefox are its too frequent updates. For example, at work, I install the latest version on several computers today, only for the developers to dish out a newer version in a day or two, causing Firefox to display 'new version available' notification to all non-admin users who due to lack of admin rights on their workstations, can't update it by themselves, but have to call me if they want the notification to go away.

Google Chrome doesn't require admin rights to perform an auto-update, from what I've noticed. Also, updates are much less frequent.

In either case, I don't use either. Opera FTW!

I love Firefox and prefer it over chrome anyway. one Less thing that google can track me with.

Literally I hate chrome for that reason and I don’t use it for that reason.

I love Firefox

Edit: (yes my reasoning is terrible but is it any different than iOS verses Android? Didn’t think so)

Google knows way too much about me! :panic:

Lol me too unfortunately. I have been using Gmail since the days of the beta. In fact I was invited to it via another user.

I was using Yahoo from the dawn of time but I switched to gmail a few years back. So much better.

I don’t see what so bad about Firefox, so many people dislike the browser I don’t think it’s too bad.

I don't see what's so bad about it either. Granted, I don't normally use it, it mainly serves me as a backup, but I don't see why such hate. I mean, it does what it's supposed to do.

Yeah it’s my alternative usually, don’t see the big issue with it, it’s fast and it works well. Yes the updates can get annoying but aside from that it works alright.

I was a Firefox user for a few years, but made the switch of Opera soon after.

Back in the day I used to have every browser installed on computer becuse I needed to check if the forum looked okay in all environments. You don't really have to worry about that too much these days.

I've noticed some things don't work properly (or don't work at all) in my preferred browser, so a backup comes in handy.
Seems like that was common thing back in the day, now everything seems to work fine on everything.

For the most part, yes, but I still occasionally run into some things that don't.

I sure hope Firefox doesn't go anywhere.
They're one of the only Chromium competitors left.
