GRANDVILLE (WWJ) – A west Michigan business owner claims he’s been the target of death threats after he announced he won’t serve gays.

Brian Klawiter, who owns Dieseltec Automotive Repair in Grandville, posted a message on his business’ Facebook page saying that he is a Christian, and that his company does not welcome “immoral behavior” — including homosexuality.

“Our rights as conservative Americans are being squashed more and more everyday. Apparently if you are white (or close to it), you have a job, go to church, and own a gun… That translates into racists, privileged, bigot, conspiracy theorist.

“…I would not hesitate to refuse service to an openly gay person or persons. Homosexuality is wrong, period. If you want to argue this fact with me then I will put your vehicle together with all bolts and no nuts and you can see how that works,” the post reads, in part. [Read the compete message here].

The post went viral and now has hundreds of comments, mostly from people calling him names and accusing him of bigotry; although a handful of supportive commenters commend him on his stance.

Speaking to WWJ Newsradio 950’s Zahra Huber, Klawiter would not agree to an interview, but did confirm that he and his family have received death threats, with some saying they’d burn down his shop. He also said there have been people protesting outside his business.

There doesn't seem to be much "left" about issuing death threats - and delivering on them! - as many a doctor who's performed abortions can attest, and as Senator Richard Pan has discovered.

"The impassioned debate surrounding California legislation to remove the personal-belief exemption for vaccinations has bubbled over into threats against lawmakers and heightened security measures for at least one state senator."

Sen. Richard Pan, a Sacramento Democrat who introduced SB 277, said the in-house law enforcement unit has provided him with extra security in recent weeks, after his office began receiving alarming phone calls, e-mails and Facebook comments from opponents of the bill..."

Apparently, it's only right to issue death threats if one's *right* while doing so.

Oh, I thought we were discussing how awful it is for people to issue death threats upon others who don't share their political philosophies. I did not realize it's now joke time. OK...I'll play along.

I don't know...who?

No, I'm not "thick", at all. At 5'1" and barely 115#, all my life I've been called "petite"; also, a "spinner", in some circles.

Anyhoo, enough about me. I thought we were going to discuss how it's wrong for some people to issue death threats to those whose political philosophies differ from theirs, but perfectly A-OK for others to do the same thing, when they're *right*?

Well, you sorta, kinda, most assuredly did...and did not.

You were beside yourself that someone not *right* issued death threats against people not serving gays, as evidenced by your selected titling OF your little thread

and then you got your nose bent out of shape when I posted a similar current news story indicating the same type of behavior you were incensed about less than 8 hours ago when those not *right* did it, which indicates death threats being issued because of proposed legislation requiring children to be vaccinated.

Suddenly, you abandoned the original topic of your thread (outrage over death threats from those not *right*) and decided to start telling jokes and discussing whether or not I can pass as a J-Lo or Nikki Minaj look-alike.

So, let's work together to get your thread back on track, shall we? Are you AS outraged by the death threats Senator Pan is receiving as you are over the death threats Mr. Klawiter is receiving? Or, is one somehow *different*?

As one who has received a death threat from a scammer, I am not in favor of anybody doing such a thing, no matter their politics or motivation.

It is stupid, and, most usually, the last resort of the ignorant and impotent.

As for the rest of your assumptions and statements about me....

Then why did you single out the "Left" in your title, as IF only "Lefties" issue death threats?

Why did your nose get so bent out of shape - and lead you so off-track from your original topic - when I simply posted a story showing the *Righties* do it, too? Simultaneously, even.

I have made no assumptions nor statements about you; your responses to my replies to you are indicating you're not real fond of having your own hypocrisies posted *right* back at you

and that you'd prefer to 'shoot the messenger' when dealing with the revelations of self-discovery. Oh, and your responses also reveal that when you are face-to-face with your own hypocritical nature, you lash out and call the messenger names, rather than deal with your discomfort.

It's all still there, in black-and-white.

Death threats are terrible, no matter what. I don't particularly care about his beliefs (though if I had the misfortune of meeting him I'd probably refuse to deal with him on the grounds of his religion, see how that pans out) though considering acceptance is supposed to be a tenet of Christianity... meh.

....) though considering acceptance is supposed to be a tenet of Christianity...

Oh?

Where did you read that in the New Testament?

If I'm not mistaken, and according to our friend above, I probably am if I say anything at all, but I'll take my chances, I believe the core of the message is exactly the opposite.

Well, that was what I was taught in school at least.

Also, Ephesians 4:32. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

That one's NT. Not exactly acceptance, but I imagine kindness and forgiveness would work in tandem with it.

Colossians 3:12. So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

Again, not acceptance per sé, but sort of ties into it.

And this 'sort of ties into' it as well.

First Corinthians Six : 12 - 20 (NIV)

“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” "But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit."

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Oh. So we found a Biblical passage that says it's OK to deny service to gay people, because gay people are an abomination against God, so "Lefties" shouldn't issue death threats over the denial.

Where's the Biblical passage that says it's OK to issue death threats against people who want to make sure children get vaccinated, Dr. Left?

Hang on. Time out. Back up a second.

Who is it that preaches inclusiveness and tolerance of one and all and makes everybody go to "Sensitivity Training"?
The left....and its' but one in a couple of reasons why I left those dens of iniquity...
