*deadpans* ...well, I do what I can, Justice...

As for the vaccinations that is a left and right thing both sides opposing such things. Where the other 99.99999999999999 percent a left thing to get heated up about. SOOOOOOOOO I am sure you have specific examples of some right leaning person sending those threats to that politician? That said I can't blame anyone getting beyond angry when a government is trying to force someone to get treated for what some find dangerous and possibly dangerous for there child. So the comparison is beyond weak in many ways.

Owners of Gay Hotel Face Boycott After Meeting With Ted Cruz

HELL'S KITCHEN — The owners of gay hotel and wedding spot The OUT sparked outrage and a boycott after meeting with Republican presidential hopeful Senator Ted Cruz Monday.

Co-owners Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass, who also own a large stake in gay beach resort the Fire Island Pines, faced mounting criticism both online and from hotel clients after the meeting.

AIDS charity Broadway Cares canceled a May 10 event set to be held at the hotel's club, 42 West, because of the meeting, they said in a release.

"We cannot in good conscience hold an event at a venue whose owners have alienated our community," they said in a statement.

A Facebook campaign boycotting the pair's properties had garnered over 4,500 supporters by Friday, and called the meeting with Cruz "a devastating blow to the community."
...
But the hotelier pair says they were only trying to bend Cruz's ear on gay marriage, they said in a statement.

"I was given the opportunity to have a candid conversation with Senator Ted Cruz on why he should rethink his view on gay marriage," said hotel co-owner Ian Reisner.

"My support for Hillary Clinton remains steadfast and my meeting with Senator Cruz was a chance to engage head-on with Hillary's opposition.""

but good try though... ;)

Gay Businessman Who Hosted Cruz Event Apologizes

Ian Reisner, one of the two gay hoteliers facing boycott calls for hosting an event for Senator Ted Cruz, who is adamantly opposed to same-sex marriage, apologized to the gay community for showing “poor judgment.”

Mr. Reisner put the apology on Facebook, where a page calling for a boycott of his properties, the gay-friendly OUT NYC hotel and his Fire Island Pines holdings, had gotten more than 8,200 “likes” by Sunday evening.

“I am shaken to my bones by the emails, texts, postings and phone calls of the past few days. I made a terrible mistake,” wrote Mr. Reisner."

So how exactly does that work when you say 'you will not serve gays'? Do you have someone stand at the door and ask each customer if they are gay or not?
The fact is the place most likely does and always have served gays.

One far more then the other. One says I don't support gay marriage while the other says you don't support gay marriage let me destroy your entire life and families for believing such a thing.

It probably doesn't 99% of the time but if gay or whatever personal lifestyle or belief asks you to make specific product against what they believe anyone should have the right to say no.

That's what I wondered.

That is going to lead to some awkward moments if you start assuming EVERYONE is gay, which is what I imagine these people will do. If they suspect you as gay they will deny you.
Now what happens when an extremely feminine STRAIGHT Man and his male friend(also straight) get mistaken for gay lol.

Watch the chaos ensue.

The law does not allow them to deny service for the products they have in stock or make on such things as say a menu in a restaurant. So if a gay man walks in and says for some unknown reason I am gay and I want to buy that cake right there already made. The owner of the store cannot legally say no I will not sell that to you. But if the gay man says I want you to make me cake with two men on top showing them getting married. Then the owner of the store can legally say no I will not make that kind of cake.

What I as a gay man wish could happen.

Let's play a little skit

Me: My husband and I are getting married and we would love to ask for your service for baking our cake.

Baker: Oh wow, that is lovely. I remember when my husband(or wife if it is a male) and I got married. I am sure you're probably excited and stressing.

Me: Definitely so.

Baker: I certainly understand the stress. But I wanted to speak to you. I am a Christian woman(or man) and I love all people, regardless of their sexuality or whatever because that is what God would want me to do. But I am not sure I'd be comfortable with baking a cake for that type of purpose. I don't judge you and I believe you should be with those you love. I don't judge you because I am the same way if someone wanted a cake for a bachelor or bachelorette party made in an obscene way. But perhaps I can direct you to someone just as good who can better serve you.

^I can get behind someone like that, but I've seen and heard cases of people being rude/disrespectful about it.
If you want your religious beliefs to be respected, then I can understand and respect and accept that. But when you have double standards and are willing to support other things that the bible goes against OR you are being aggressive about it, that is what I have the issue with.

In the end, I don't think these bakers should be bullied or harassed though. It's not right and I probably would've dropped it instead of making it to a viral thing.

i think both liberals and conservatives can 'be in threat due to a conversation', but i'm wondering why you chose to say that anyways? like only liberals can act like that and nobody else? very inaccurate at its least there doc, shameful...

on a lighter side, what's the point of this thread again?

bash on a group of people because you disagree with them, their opinions and their views at times?

i see no tolerance there... ;)

I missed this before. You know I could have respect for this guy for doing this even if in the end he would never support such a candidate. But he folded worse then a street hooker saying $40.00 dollars is not enough. I mean just a bit of common sense would have told you the militant leftist section of the gay community was going to do this.

The point was that it is usually the Left that says that we must all tolerate those who are different from us.

Then the Left says that just TALKING to somebody on the other side is forbidden.

and you're also grouping everyone up, like everyone agrees or disagrees with it...

and besides, the right does the same thing because it's human nature to disagree and fight with themselves over choosing love, peace and harmony...

Then save this post and when I use those words liberal, progressive, leftist, communist, marxist, etc. lets use the percentage 0f 95%. Problem solved I have no longer bunched EVERYONE in one category.

And no, conservatives do no such thing demanding tolerance like the left does and then does the very opposite.
