Actually, that's who I market to.

I market to people from Chicago and St Louis areas.

They're city people that will get lost easily. My rates are affordable. I have a permit to do it. I'm a certified first responder. I'm insured.

Every hike I've been paid to do has resulted in a great time for everyone and usually a tip bigger than what I charge for

It's a fun very very part-time gig.

I make more money freelance writing for the outdoor community.

I also make more money with ads on my blog, especially now that I am posting every day.

I post on YouTube every day but because I film on National Forest land, I can't legally monetize without getting a permit (and those cost a lot) so I turn ads off for most of those videos.

But it all adds up

The great thing about being an outdoor content creator is that everything I do outdoors is potential content.

So while I reduce stress and have fun enjoying nature, the whole time I do it, I'm getting more content.

If you can find a passion like that, which you can enjoy while getting content, you're going to win!

Agreed, a truly fantastic way to make a living. Doing what you love and being able to pay your bills doing it. You've achieved the dream
