Nope, never. You'll also be hard pressed to find a real picture of me on forums as well.

In my case I just used a common first name only. I've seen people do that before on forums and such. lol

No, I never use my real name as my username and I am also very very cautious where I choose to share my real name as well, to be honest. I have always been cautious about anything like that when it comes to being online as you never know who could end up seeing the information you put out there.

I don't use my real name even on my own forum. Until recently, I used to use my first name, however, I had to stop doing this because some nasty messages concerning me were posted on public forums and social sites.

My username is probably as close to my real name in terms of initials that I am comfortable with. I don't use social media (aside from Pinterest) and I don't put my pictures online either. I have been stalked before, and this was before social media, and it is the kinda thing that sticks with you, so I try not to put as much about me out there.. I think the closest I've even come to that was on my forum, where people have known me for years from my interactions with them.

But aside from that, my name and face, are not online.. and if I have anything to do with it, it never will be.. it is scary what you can do now with someone's pictures..

I can relate to that. How did you get rid of your stalker?

Well, at first I tried confronting him myself because not only was he scaring me, but also my brother (there was only 2 of us at the time..) and I asked him to leave us alone.. all he did was smile.

That didnt work and the dude wouldn't stop.. then I asked his caretaker to tell him to stop. She just laughed and said that I must be the one he said he was going to "make babies" with and said that he was harmless and she didnt say anything else about it.

So my brother and I started staying in the house on Summer days just to avoid him and unfortunately for me, that didn't work as my great-grandmother often sent me out to the store.. and on this day he saw me come out of the building and then proceeded to camp out there on the bench in front in hopes of seeing me.

My uncle asked me why we were in the house one dwy when it was so nice outside and I told him. He told me not to worry and said that he would take care of it. That was the last time I saw the dude, who turned out to be a grown ass man in his late 40s.. I knew the dude was older, but I thought he was like 15 or something. I was 12 and my brother was 6.

Anyway I never saw him again after telling my uncle so I dont know what happened, but I do know that my uncle told my Mom and that was when she started sending us both to Virginia for the Summer. I still have nightmares about him from time to time.

Ditto. I refuse to post pictures of myself and do things like actively clean up/delete old posts to make sure there's not too much identifying information available. I'll tell people my real name once I get to know them, but that's not important for folks I don't really know.
