What is your favorite Final Fantasy game(s)?

I have to say that Final Fantasy X is my top favorite out of the entire franchise.

Then there's XV, VII, VIII, VI. I'll also take XIII(the 1st only only) over XVI any day and XIII had a lot of issues.

I really liked Tidus because I found him very relatable and I liked his fighting style.

I still need to play X, I have it on my PS4! Anyways out of the ones I've played I love V and VI the most. I recently just got a copy of V in my Retro Game Treasure box which is freaking awesome! I already own it via Anthology on the PS1, but I now have the original Super Famicom version too! VII is great too, and I played most of VIII, I need to go back and finish the game though. Took me a minute to get used to the card game, but I finally got the hang of it. Final Fantasy 2 was... interesting. I basically abused the leveling up system by continuing attacking myself and it made the game pretty easy. xD The first game was fun, it's not perfect but it was the first game in the series. IV was good too, many people love this one. It was released as Final Fantasy II here in the States.

Final Fantasy VII, hands down. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the story. Hell, I used to write fan fiction about it.

For the longest time I used to say that IV was my favourite. I am not so sure now, I still enjoy it but it is my most played Final Fantasy game by far. So maybe I am getting a bit tired of it. I think most Final Fantasy titles I have enjoyed playing. Although I do still need to finish a few of them. The next one I want to play is the Pixel remaster of V. XVI surprisingly was a lot more enjoyable than I had expected prior to trying the demo. I had been more cautious after how disappointing I found XV to be. I enjoyed it, but was getting sick of the side quests by the end of the game and found I couldn't be bothered with them anymore.

I'm disappointed Square Enix decided not to release this game for the Xbox Series S/X. It looks really good and I've been watching it on YouTube seeing as I don't own a PS5.

It's been rumored that Sony has expressed interest in buying Square Enix. They've been paying them top dollar to keep future FF titles exclusive only to the PS5 since Microsoft bought Bethesda. That's why the Series S/X did not get FF7 Remake or FF16.

Oh, that's news to me. That sucks. Another way to get more money. Some are going to really want to play XVI so they'll get a ps5, if possible. Then let's not forget them pulling out the next gen systems.

PS5 had a really rough start because of Covid. When it was released there was already a shortage and stores didn't have enough of them to keep stocked. We're just now seeing them in stores like Wal-Mart. If you wanted a PS5, you had to put in an application on Amazon or on Sony and often times you never heard back from them. This pushed a lot of people to buy the Series S and X consoles instead to play new upcoming titles. I am glad that we got FF7: Crisis Core Reunion at least. But I have realized that if I want to play the other future FF titles, I'll have to buy a PS5. For now I'm content playing their older stuff such as FFX, FFX-2, FF7 Crisis Core, FF13 Trilogy, and FF15 that they do have for Xbox and it should keep me busy for a while replaying those old titles.

Right! I signed up for Sony's little list to see when they would have them back in stock but ended up getting one from GameStop for Christmas. Speaking of Xbox, do you have that monthly subscription for (edit)gamepass(spell check I swear...)by chance? There's an indie jrpg called Chained Echoes that I was really surprised about how much I liked it. Visuals are 16-bit but it's still a good game. I stopped playing it to play XVI and Trails into Reverie. If you get a chance maybe check it out?

Question! I just beat FFX for the hundreth time. 6 of my characters are almost at max hp (without legendary items: 9999). Should I bother maxing out the entire party right now?

Well, if you have a good party set up maybe not but if you're looking for a completion (if you haven't already) or simply to have everyone maxed sure. I don't see why not. I kind of want to play it now myself.

My biggest issue is finishing the sphere grid on any character. I don't know if the empty nodes apply or don't apply to get the trophy.

I don't know. I never tried the last time I played. That or those damn dark aeons. I remember going back to Besaid village or at least trying to and here comes that friggin thing. Wiped my party out.
