What is your favorite Final Fantasy game(s)?

I'm kind of a Final Fantasy n00b and have only played a few of the recent ones (despite being a Kingdom Hearts fan)...

...so I'll be the contrarian and say XV.

I don't know. I never tried the last time I played. That or those damn dark aeons. I remember going back to Besaid village or at least trying to and here comes that friggin thing. Wiped my party out.
It obliterated my party as well. They didn't have dark aeons in the PS2 version. I feel like the remastered version is slightly harder than the old 2000's release.

It was! In the ps2 version, I actually won the blitzball tournament. Trophy and all. But the game carried on as if lost. Still I was proud. In the remaster, my team was destroyed. Even after the tournament I got beaten. I had some trouble with Seymour on Mt. Gagazet too.

Always train Yuna up as high as you can. I spent days in the calm lands and Yojimbo's hideout griding stats so Bahumat could do high damage output. He's the only Aeon you get for free that breaks the damage limit. You can kill Seymour twice with Mega Flare in one go before he has a chance to banish your Aeon.

I beat FFX this weekend with little effort. I decided I needed a break from it, so I've moved on to FFX-2 for a while. I guess I have to grind early in the game to almost level 50 so I can get the Psychic Dresssphere. It's supposed to be really OP and you can get it in the first chapter by doing the monster arena onboard the airship at the beginning of the game.

I couldn't stomach X-2 back in the day and I think it was two years ago I tried it again and did not even get beyond that yrp opening. The song is catchy just not for that lmao.

I liked that they cut the party down to three characters, which made it easy to go along with. The Dress Spheres act like Final Fantasy 8's Eidolons seeing as each DS makes a huge difference on your stats when equipped. One of the best party builds is White Mage, Psychic, and Dark Knight. Some would argue that Alchemist is better party support than White Mage though. In this article below, the ranked them.
