What's the longest you've ever studied for in one period?

Inspired by the fact that I am just now taking my first break from studying Calc (started at 1:30), what's the longest amount of time you've spent in one sitting, without leaving your room ('cept to like, go to the bathroom n' stuff)?

My record's like 12 hours I believe. It's the adderol. (No, I'm not prescribed. Yes, you shouldn't tell on me

Maybe 45 minutes or an hour. I didn't tend to study for long periods of time.

Continuous, about 45 minutes. It's proven the mind works much better when taking breaks than studying all in one shot. I usually go about 20 minutes studying, with 10 minute breaks. You might think that this takes much longer, but your mind stays focused a lot easier in the 20 minutes.

Holy moly 45 minutes? I know the brain works better like that but that's still a pretty short time. But hey, whatever works...I usually don't spend too much time on something unless it's like a final project or a big test.

I also space things out. You know as well as I do that generally you are given a week or two for major projects. I pick away at them the whole time. Instead of doing 5 hours in one day, or even 2 1/2 in two, I do thirty minutes a day, whenever I can. But I've got good memory, and generally don't need to study for tests; the only exception are finals. But once again, I just pick away at studying every day. Your memory works better when you repeat something three times, so that's what I like to try to do studying for finals.

20 minutes. I space out after that. Also, I procrastinate like a motherfucker.

And that is why I fail at school. Our lessons go on for about 50 minutes.

Ours go for an hour. Some classes go by so fast, but some, like Trig, Calculus, and English now that we're doing Death of a Salesman go by so slow..

Anddd the downside to adderol. I can't sleep, and I have class in less than 8 hours. Yeah!

Me too. Don't feel alone. Except I'm just an insomniac I think. I rarely get more than 4 hours of sleep. Hence the late nights here. My mind just doesn't shut off, and I can't sleep when I'm thinking of something..

I dont remember ever studying. I did fine in school too. Had a couple college prep classes and graduated with a 3.0 (B average).. I dont know how I did it to be honest.

It's usually a ... study for ten minutes .... take a break ..... study for ten minutes ..... take a break and so on.

Continuously without a break? 6-7 hours probably, at university during the exams you just can't afford to take breaks every hour.
