Do you code, do graphic design, have custom ads on your board, give advertising rights to those who pay, etc?
I currently make $0.00 from my forum and I doubt I'd make much since it's on free software. I've considered offering advertising space for those who pay, but no one has even paid for advertising via credits, so I don't see them using real money to pay.
I'm a coder, but I've barely made any money from it because I, once again, use free software to offer my coding help and expertise to those in need. I've never been concerned about being paid to code unless it was a real job, seeing as I do it primarily as a hobby and nothing more.
