Which one do you prefer? ^^ And why. :P

I have Windows 8 and after a while I got used to it. Downloaded a couple programs to make it more like Windows 7 (like bypassing the Start screen and going straight to the desktop upon startup).

7. Never used 8 but from what I've seen/heard it isn't a step in the right direction.

Keep in mind that XP will phase out next year, unless you were aware of that.

Anyway, Windows 7 for me. I was iffy about it at first even when I had to get this laptop containing it but it took time for me to get used to it. Like one person said, it's "XP on steroids" :P I have zero interest in Windows 8 though... looks ugly as hell, and touch-screen technology is not my thing.

Vista.

Out of the options present, Win7. I've used Win8 extensively (because I'm the house's tech support and everyone's got Windows 8 aside from me) and I don't much like it. It works great on my cellphone (though that's Windows 7.5) but the idea of installing a touchscreen OS on a non-touch device... it's stupid. Add to that everything has moved compared to Windows 7. Pretty much since Windows 95, everything's been in the same place, give or take. A name change or two, and icon image changes are the most we've had. But Windows 8 has changed EVERYTHING and it's really confusing. I'd have better luck working on a Mac, and I haven't used one of those in years.

I haven't used Windows 8 so my vote doesn't mean too much. I'm not going to use it either, maybe I'll use 9, but so far I've seen little reason to use 8 when I've still got XP and 7.

How would I know? :P Even if it is released, it won't catch my interest like for 8. 7 is fine for me.

Well I can't imagine them not creating new operating systems any more :dontknow:

Thing is, by the time 9's released there might actually be half a reason to use it.

Windows 8.1. My ultrabook DOES support touchscreen, also that it's innovative. Windows 10 will be 7 with 8.1 elements implemented.

After getting a new laptop with Windows 8.1 installed, I'm going with Windows 7. They really missed the mark with Windows 8, and I'm glad Microsoft is going to right the wrongs with Windows 10.
