“NOT EVERYBODY is comfortable with the idea that politics is a guilty addiction. But it is. They are addicts, and they are guilty and they do lie and cheat and steal—like all junkies. And when they get in a frenzy, they will sacrifice anything and anybody to feed their cruel and stupid habit, and there is no cure for it.”

So , this thread is for politics and government correct?
Yeah, sort of a general catch-all thread; we also have plenty of specific politics threads in this section to read and discuss as well.

With election day coming up, we need to keep this quote handy:

"The people have spoken…the bastards."
California state senate loser, and aid to RFK- Richard Tuck (1924 - 2018)

You know why they always bring Epstein up?

Because its' been a long-held secret that both sides had people visit the late financier and pedophile over the years and thus there's a moral/social 'mutually assured destruction' at play whereby if you go after one side, their first argument @FallandPray is 'either go after the ones on your side who saw Epstein - like Bill Clinton, for instance - or don't go after anyone and damn them all.'

Wasn't only Ol' Bill the Lecher, there was a lot of Hollywood, and a good bit of Wall Street involved with Epstein as well.

If his unredacted records hit the fan.... everything else would as well.

My friend, Arwen, who is a Trump supporter, wrote,

Wrong again the real client list has never been released and if you live by those standards everyone would be guilty by association to a horrible crime of some sort. Your best friend could be a serial ki11er and you do not even know, does that automatically make you guilty because you hung out and have tons of calls between the two of you?
