Apple's "iPhone 4G"

Does anyone else think Apple planned for this to happen, just for publicity? When I first saw this I didn't think so but I'm starting to believe it could be that they just want to be in the news.

Apple would never do that on purpose. They are a very closed company and letting leaks out is just not how they work at all.



At first I didn't like the design, but it's grown on me.



We'll find out next month at the WWDC anyways

Yeah if they offered it with my phone company, I'd think about getting one.

My coworker has one and he is ALWAYS playing with it. Sometimes he gets behind in his work because of it. I suppose its a good thing I dont have one then.

I'm annoyed at the fact they're bringing out a hardware update, a software update would of been fine, but I can't think of a reason as to why I'd want to pay out another $650 or possibly more, for a similar phone to what I already have.



If they had a swap your old phone in for a huge discount deal i'd be at the front of the line, but unfortunately they don't.

Apparently, Apple employees have lost two prototypes of this already.

2. The most expensive iPhone you can get is the 32GB version of the 3GS on pay as you go which is £539
   
3. Apple only has one device for the iPhone, they need to compete with other companies who have several handsets. So a new iPhone once a year to improve the specs, update the camera etc isn't unreasonable and you don't have to buy the latest one because iPhone OS 4.0 will work just fine on the 3GS
   
4. The reason why Apple products cost more here is because of VAT. America has a different tax system to us. Without VAT the products would cost exactly the same.

Another new iPhone! I have the 3GS iphone. It is a great phone but I will be waiting till they bring out a 4gs before I upgrade.

• I do live in manchester, I converted how much I paid for my iphone in dollars as i've found a lot of the members here are american, not british.
  
• I have the 16gb 3GS, which cost £440 when I bought it, which, with the current figures, is exactly $650
  
  
  
• I'm aware that they do software updates when they bring out a newer version, but it's the hardware updates that interests me the most.
