Yeah, you'll find a lot of employers willing to work with you if you show you're willing to put the effort in and get them where they want to be.

Anything is a start

Totally understandable, but it's great practice, wonderful experience and a potential income, so worth keeping in mind as much as possible. Could also contribute to open source projects or Google Summer of Code projects, as well, that'll give you a team to work with and you'll be credited for your work, so it's a resume builder.

That's good to hear, just wish I lived in a bigger city that actually had these types of job opportunities available.

Sounds like some decent ideas to try. Never even heard of Google Summer before, I'll have to check that out.

The beautiful thing about the current climate is that we can find jobs that work remotely as a starting point and, when the time is right, something closer to home that's in-office could become available.

Yep, absolutely look around and check it all out, there are plenty of opportunities out there to grow your resume and get experience

The thing about remote jobs is I just don't know what companies to trust with my personal information.

Agreed, it's a tough one to judge, but you can scout companies through glassdoor or putting feelers out to see if anyone else knows them and what they're like as a company. Always have to be vigilant these days!

True, I guess it's really important to do your research before applying for remote jobs. Never know who wants to scam you or not these days.

Absolutely, but you'll still find a lot of reputable companies looking for remote workers, so have a look around, you will definitely find something!

I'm just having a relaxing evening. One of my friends wants to play a game of baseball with me on Xbox, because she's a fan...beats me every time because I'm useless, but it's fun. So probably going to do that in a few minutes and then go right back to relaxing
