Let’s say you banned a forum member from a forum you manage or own. If they happen to be a member on another forum you manage or own would you ban them from there too even if they haven’t done anything wrong there yet?

What about members who have and constantly continue to get banned from communities, or go around trolling different groups? Would you immediately ban them on sight, or would you give them a chance to ban themselves out?

I have always been the one that is watching my members especially ones that I have had negative encounters with. So no I don't auto ban unless it calls for it but, I have had to post moderate a few new members because of their behavior on another forum I admined at. I am not the type you excuse the language FAFO I don't tolerate bigotry never have never will. If you end up on my bad side you really messed up lol

I don't punish people for what they did elsewhere. Only for what I've seen them do specifically on my own forum.

It depends on the punishable offense on whether they get banned from my other community or not. Did they do something illegal basically? They'll probably be banned from both sites. Did they spam/troll/flame/PM advertise a little? They'll probably remain a member of my other site.

Yeah or bullying/doxxing/making someone’s life hell. There’re different levels of trolling/bullying/harassment IMO. Doxxing is a form of bullying and a serious offence.

Now that I have two forums I guess I have to think about this kind of thing too :ponder:

FA and OT are two separate forums but they both make up the Nebulous Network :D

Yeah I suppose it depends on severity and your tolerance for their BS, whether it’s likely to happen again or spill over etc :P

I agree I feel the same way I try to give people a chance. I however have restrictions on people who join and don’t approve someone who comes across sketchy

Not sure what you mean about restrictions on ppl who join, yet you say you give everyone a chance. Do you mean you use manual admin approval ?

Yes I approve them manually. A while back on my old board someone joined just to put porn everywhere while I was sleeping

How can you determine if someone looks sketchy?
You mean members known as troublemakers elsewhere?
I assume you mean you give a chance to most of those who've caused trouble elsewhere, but there are exceptions when it's serious :P

Those who are notorious that I don’t want on my site or if the name and email raises red flags then I don’t approve them. That guy that joined to put porn everywhere was a nightmare.

Makes sense that you don’t want ppl who are notorious for being troublemakers on your site :P
