How do you think forum debates should be handled?



If someone is not supporting their claims, should they not bother to post?

Should someone always try to include references?

Should people be able to say their opinion without doing any of the above?

If someone says something fairly outlandish, they should provide evidence. If someone isn't supporting their claims, why did they post in the first place? And for opinion, it doesn't have such a big place in debates.

I like debating on forums, and if somebody takes a side in a debate should always post a reason to support there answer.
