Official Politics Debate and Discussion.

Harris is already campaigning for '28.
She never made it to the primaries in 2020 and didn't get a single vote this go-round, having essentially been selected to replace Biden (who should've decided not to run a lot sooner than he did) and despite having everything given to her by the Media and Celebrity Arms of the Democratic Party, she still managed to lose to a 34-count convicted felon and serial sexual predator.

She's cooked politically.

Wasn't that also said about some orange faced blowhard that kept saying stupid shit in front of TV cameras not all that long ago?

And then there was this guy:

“As I leave you, I want you to know, just think how much you’re going to be missing. You won’t have Nixon to kick around anymore because, gentlemen, this is my last press conference.”

And then there was this guy:
In the case of Trump, no one ever thought he'd return; the Left's overarching strategy was to weigh him down with so much lawfare that he'd either give in, get convicted and/or keel over and die from it all.

In Nixon's case, he had eight years as Eisenhower's VP to bank on plus his time representing what was then a then-swing state; Harris, on the other hand, has been a liberal stalwart for California and Americans pretty much rejected her. Now she could run for the Democratic nomination in 2028 but given her past performances in 2020 and now in 2024 do you seriously think Dems' would give her a third bite of the apple?

American citizens who in recent years raised questions about possible voter fraud in the 2020 election were censored, deplatformed, and stigmatized. The results of the 2024 election appear, however, to have vindicated such skeptics, at least in their understanding that there was something anomalous about the number of votes Joe Biden supposedly received.

The official story regarding the 2020 election is that President Donald Trump received 74.2 million votes and Biden received 81.2 million votes — a combined total of over 155 million votes.

According to Decision Desk HQ's latest count, Trump secured over 73.2 million votes in Tuesday's election and Kamala Harris received 68.6 million votes — a combined total of around 141.8 million, with some votes still left to be counted in states such as California. At the time of publication, CNN had the numbers at 72.8 million for Trump and 68.1 million for Harris.

For some sense of historical context, in 2016, Trump secured 62.9 million votes and Hillary Clinton secured 65.8 million votes, and in 2012, former Utah Sen. Mitt Romney netted 60.9 million votes and President Barack Obama secured 65.9 million votes.

Harris' performance, as measured by the popular vote, appears to be more or less in line with Clinton's and Obama's. Biden's supposed result, on the other hand, stands out like a sore thumb.

'Every f***ing time except 2020.'
On Wednesday, Democrats and their allies in the liberal media started asking how they could have record turnout in the 2024 election yet still have Harris net tens of millions fewer voters than Biden did four years ago. By raising this question and in some cases suggesting that Trump must have cheated, Democrats unwittingly prompted renewed concerns among their counterparts about the legitimacy of the previous election.

Zerohedge shared a graph on X comparing the popular vote results in the 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections, writing, "Sorry to beat a dead horse, but can we go back to what happened here?"

"Yes, let's do go back. American voters want and deserve to know precisely where 81 million 'votes' appeared from and how all the official 2020 evidence collected via courts and states has never been properly analyzed, summarized and presented," wrote Rasmussen Reports. "It's a huge public topic."

BlazeTV contributor T.J. Moe responded, "There is not a single honest person in America, who believes Joe Biden get [sic] 81 million votes. Last night made it clear 2020 was stolen. History will acknowledge this."

Former Republican National Committee spokeswoman Madison Gesiotto Gilbert asked, "Where'd all the Democrats go?"

The glaring discrepancy also caught the eye of last-minute Trump supporter Joe Rogan, who noted on his show after Trump's latest landslide victory, "It's so crazy. You look at it and you go, 'Is this real?'"

Rogan noted that the consensus in the lead-up to the 2024 election was that it was "one of the most consequential elections ever," such that there was some expectation that voters would turn out for Harris in similar numbers as they supposedly had for Biden in 2020. "Look at the difference in how many people voted for Biden in 2020. It's unprecedented. It's way higher than any other time," said Rogan. "This is what's crazy: They're consistent. Look, they're all like 60 — look at where the number is. It's all like 65 million. ... Every f***ing time except 2020, and in 2020 it goes way the f*** up."

Nathan Hughes of Arkansas, one of the Jan. 6 protesters prosecuted by the Biden-Harris Department of Justice, noted, "Obama got 69M votes. Kamala got 68M votes. But they want us to believe Joe Biden somehow got 81M votes and won, despite losing nearly every bellweather county? They raided our homes and sent us to jail for asking where those extra 13M votes came from."

Hughes speculated, "They couldn't manufacture and pump them into the system like they did during Covid."

When pressed about what might have changed, YouTuber David Freiheit, known under his online pseudonym "Viva Frei," similarly suggested that this time around, they didn't have limitless ballots like they did in 2020. In 2020 they mailed out ballots to everyone. Changed the rules for indefinite confinement, drop boxes, never did signature matches in Georgia, etc. It was designed to facilitate ballot harvesting so they could just come up with the ballots to meet whatever number was required to win the election. Plus they had the cover of Twitter which was not yet controlled by Elon. And the courts never stepped in like they did this time around.
Some conservatives are hopeful that with a Republican trifecta at the federal level, there will soon be answers and accountability.

"This entire phony thing is getting swept out," the newly liberated Steve Bannon said ahead of Trump's victory speech Wednesday morning. "Biden's getting swept out. Kamala Harris is getting swept out. MSNBC is getting swept out. The Justice Department is getting swept out. The FBI's getting swept out. You people suck, OK? And now you're going to pay the price for trying to destroy this country."

Bannon, who has long complained about alleged election shenanigans in 2020, added, "[Trump] may be empathetic. He may have a kind heart. He may be a good man. But we're not. And you deserve ... not retribution, justice."

The liberal media rushed to reassure the public the 2020 election was legitimate. The Associated Press — which has done a great deal in recent months to undermine its credibility, particularly with false reports about Israel's defensive war against Hamas, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), and Project 2025 — published a "fact-check" Wednesday titled, "FACT FOCUS: A multimillion vote gap between 2020 and 2024 fuels false election narratives."

The AP article stated that "claims of widespread fraud in 2020 have been debunked countless times" and suggested that the final count might greatly narrow the delta between Biden's unprecedented result and Harris' more conventional result. Once the remainder of the votes are counted and finalized, Americans will have a better sense of exactly how anomalous the 2020 election really was.

From the BBC:

Democrats had bet on women showing up in force. They didn’t

At least one thing was taken for granted before voting day - women across the US were going to turn out for Kamala Harris.

Just as months of relentless polling showed Harris in a virtual tie with Donald Trump, many of those same surveys told the story of a yawning gender gap.

It was a strategy Harris’s team was betting on, hoping that an over-performance among women could make up for losses elsewhere.

It didn’t happen.

Across the country, the majority of women did cast their ballots for Harris, but not by the historic margins she needed. Instead, if early exit polls bear out, Harris’s advantage among women overall - around 10 points - actually fell four points short of Joe Biden’s in 2020.

On the first question, I want to say a lot but from what everything I saw in the run=up to the election, not as much as expected. One thing Trump supporters got very damn good at was hiding their support for Donald Trump. Yes, there were Trump signs out but a lot fewer than what I saw either in 2016 or 2020 (and Western NC is a relative GOP stronghold) and when asked why, they straight-up told people they were tired of being browbeaten by others over their support for Trump (again, remember, perception vs. reality) and so most all of them simply hid their Trump signs and waited until election time and took out their frustrations at the ballot box.

That said, as someone who's suffered from mental illness the past few years (including a failed suicide attempt in Oct. 2021) I've had people ask me why I supported Kamala Harris and I told them it was a combo of her policies and my loathing/dislike for Trump (for which I got thrown the TDS label often for). But do I think Trump supporters are mentally ill or illiterate? For most of them, no to either one; most were entirely cogent and sound of mind in their support for him.

On the second question, when it comes to the media I always go by Ronald Reagan's famous quote "Dovery, no provery." (Russian for "Trust, but verify.") Don't trust anything you see/hear/read in the mainstream press until you can either (a) prove it with another source or (b) disprove it w/another source. Don't just take on faith that what the media says is legit and that applies across the board - Left, Right, doesn't matter. We can't simply take what the media says and shrugs as if to say "Okay, I believe you."

Read, learn, listen, study - never let your mind grow idle or lazy. Keep it busy as much as possible, even if you're recycling past things; a lot of the issue w/media illiteracy and the lack of CT (critical thinking) skills is that we've (and this is across society, Angel) allowed ourselves to outsource those skills to media hacks who lie, cheat and misinfo at every opportunity.

Just look at all the polls going in that were nigh-identical to each other, over and over again. Herding, they called it; I think it was more of the pollsters/media not wanting to go against the crowd and acting accordingly, an even more dangerous thing than what you asked above.
I am very sorry to hear that things got so bad that you considered ending it. I am happy that you are still with us. I have been there myself so I understand, but it does get better. Sending love and light your way.:wub:

That being said, I regret to inform you that you were gaslit and DARVO'd by the people who asked you about your support for Harris.

They asked the question in bad faith, and when you answered honestly, they DARVO'd you. Just know that when you did this, you got under their skin and put them on defense.. because your answer conflicted their fantasy and then, they projected their TDS on to you. This is exactly why I have been beating the drum of studying narcissism and narcissistic abuse and this is precisely why it is important that you continue speaking your truth regardless. Don't argue with them, because it will only legitimize their absurdity which was how we got here. The response to this is to learn and use the "grey rock" method.. doing so deprives them of their supply and they will move on to someone else.

Dr. Ramani is considered the expert on narcissism and narcissistic abuse. She has a bunch of videos on YouTube and there are a lot of other accounts I follow like Mentalhealness who is a clinically diagnosed narcissist who uses his platform to help others who were abused by them. The reason that this issue remains illusive in the mental health community, is because a narc won't go to therapy as they think they are perfect. Psychologists only know about this because they have only been able to treat the victims of narcissistic abuse.

In my reasearch, I have learned that narcissistic abuse has been codified in the Bible which is exactly why so many evangelical Christian Nationalists support it. This is why they DON'T align with Jesus' teachings. Women are scape goated in the Bible, and thusly hated, and they have always claimed the Bible supported their actions and politicians and SCOTUS justices have been caught doing the same thing. These people aren't Christian, they are narcissists.

They simply use their "faith" to provide cover for their own depravity and inhumanity and to deflect criticism of their behavior. They just co-opted and perverted Christianity, in the same way the Nazis co-opted and perverted the swastika from Sanskrit. So fighting back is the right thing to do here as they stole something that wasn't theirs to begin with. This is probably the reason that this country has become less religious. These people know they are losing power and they are fighting hard to cling to it. This is why telling the truth about history and learning about NPD and its abuse is key to fighting back.

Also the polls that you mentioned, were found to have been paid for by the GOP and foreign actors as well. They followed Bannon's playbook of flooding the zone with bullshit, so that no one knew what was true. Alsocmost of our media is owned by his supporters, and South African oligarchs have been buying up our most trusted newspapers as well.. this was why the biggest ones refused to endorse Harris.

When Trump said the media was the enemy of the people, he was projecting his intent to make it so. Remember with a narc, every accusation is a confession. The polls were never legit, but it doesn't matter as they did their job. Now its time for us to put our heads down, educate ourselves and those we care about and then organize with the other existing groups for marginalized people. White people have an entire library of materials to work with to do so to form their own group to fight back since y'all are now marginalized too. This is something our BIPoC ancestors, had to figure out on their own.

I find it fascinating to sit back and listen to the statements from the losing side in 24, that sounds an awful lot like the losing side in 20, which sounded like the losing side in 16...... remember the wake in New York with Mrs. Clinton and some of what was said then?

I’m going to step out of this thread. Too unbearable as someone who is a woman and born in China predicting myself to be treated in such a way. I also have a disability and am sensitive to insults.

Goodbye :crybye:

I think the saddest part about this whole thing is that the people who voted for him will be hurting the most and I honestly can't enjoy the schadenfreude because as the end of the day these people are largely exploited, either because they are mentally ill, woefully illiterate and uneducated and subject to propaganda, or they, where the "bros" are concerned are kids looking for a father figure in podbros on platforms like Rumble and ManoSphere, etc like Kevin Samuels (even though he's dead) and Joe Rogan, et. al, when they came from homes where their fathers were just as toxic and abusive they normalized these traits, and sought it out in others.

The fact that Trump is a malignant narcissist and so many men see themselves in him is telling.

The man was abusive to his family and came from one as well and within his, it is obvious regarding who is in what role where the kids are concerned.

Ivanka = Golden Child and love of her father's life (even though narcs don't love anyone other than supply.)

DJT = Scapegoat and disappointment.

Eric & Tiffany = Invisible.

Barron = Trump did say he was Melania's son, so apparently she reproduced him asexually.

Each of his wifes were the supply when he was married to the previous wife.

And then there is Jigsaw Loomer.

The worst part of it all, is that his voters will get exactly what they voted for and they will the ones hurt the most because of it. When Trump was talking about how he was going to MAGA he wasn't talking about for his voters, he was talking about his donors and fellow wealthy child traffickers.. but his voters voted for him because they hate the same people.. others, and themselves but were willing to be participants in their own oppression.

Fredrick Douglass once said "Knowledge Unfits A Man To Be A Slave" so when Trump said that he loved the uneducated, he was stating his intent and his voters went for it hook, line and sinker again.

I've seen so many posts from MAGA having voter's remorse because they didn't know what they were voting for and forgot how bad things were under Trump.. and now things will get worse for them.. and the racism has been directed at the BIPoC supporters as well.

As I said, I can't enjoy the irony and genuinely feel bad for them even though they'd like to see people like me dangling from a tree like I was in a Billie Holliday song.

You really hate to see it.

I said this earlier and I'll repeat it: at the end of the day, you have to provide for the people, to be able to appeal to and provide for the basic needs of the people and those needs are simple - making sure they're able to provide for their families, making sure they have jobs, making sure the necessities of life are available and not expensive as they are at present - that first level Maslow spoke of in his Hierarchy of Needs.

Meet those and people will listen to you; don't meet them and people will tune you out. And whatever you do, don't come off as fake or inauthentic or insensitive to people because people can spot bullshittery a mile away out of a politician (especially when they try to look/be authentic and can't pull it off (Kamala's time on the Call Her Daddy podcast comes to mind here along with not going on Joe Rogan's podcast late in the campaign). On his podcasts, Jim Cornette has said the best politicians and the best wrestlers have one thing in common - they're able to talk and draw people in and they're able to perform when it counts, especially if its' not something regularly done or on either short notice/unfamiliar ground.

The Al Smith Dinner was another good example; Trump might've been (and was) his usual vulgar self but he showed up and he spoke. Where was Kamala; she didn't have to send a taped message to them; she could've just easily have showed up there as she did at her sorority meeting. Even Hillary, as bad a candidate as she was in 2016, showed up. Sometimes, you have to bite the bullet and go in front of people you might not agree with and who might not vote for you but you go there anyway.

That's part of winning a campaign; showing up at times when you know you're not going to be in front of a friendly audience. One of the reasons I was a Republican for nearly two decades (Aug. 1993 to May 2016) was because I never, except for one time, ever saw a major Democratic candidate show up in my little bit of Western NC; by contrast, Republicans would show up. Every. Single. Election. You'd be surprised how many people will still remember those times and they vote accordingly. I;'ve often said to fellow Dems' that even if and when they lose in conservative areas, go ahead and show up anyway; you might get a few extra percent on election night and that might help other Dems' up and down the ballot.

As for the typical Trump voter, Angel, I go back to something I said to you over at Talk Nexus; I think you'd asked me that question and I'll repeat as close as possible what I said there. The typical Trump voter, for the record, is not a raging bigot, homophobe, sexist, etc., Deplorable piece of garbage. The typical Trump voter is someone worrying how they're gonna put food on the table and provide for their job; they're wondering if their job's gonna be outsourced 'cause the bosses' are trying to fatten up the bottom line; they're worried about the cost of food and gas and utilities; they're worried their son/daughter is going to be sent off to fight and possibly die overseas in some conflict w/out a clear justification or reason for being there, etc.

They see the candidates and on the one hand they see a woman who's likely to send their kids off to fight/die somewhere for no discernible reason, who's gonna jack up their gas prices and utility bills and make it harder to provide for their families vs. arguably the most vulgar clown to ever sit in the White House yet they still remember during his time in office that gas prices were lower, utilities were lower, it was easier to provide for your family, our brave men/women weren't being asked to fight and die in every place around the world, etc.,etc.,....and people remembered that and they wanted to go back to that, damn the consequences.

Yes, it sucks that Donald Trump won but guess what? America survived 2017-2021; we will survive the next four years. I will say this and then I'll finish this little mini-rant/political treatise: if the next Democratic nominee does the below, I suspect they might draw a lot of those voters who went Republican this year back.....

I know we will survive this, I have no doubt. But I think there would be less finger pointing among the people if everyone knew how to read the exit poll data rather than getting into their feelings over who voted what way.

The polls show that Harris got support from white voters also. The more educated they were, the more they were likely to vote for her and they did. She pulled support from Trump among those who attended college whether they had a degree or not.

The bulk of Trump's supporters are not these people.. they are a diverse bunch. Yes, they are downtrodden, and feel left behind, but they are also uneducated and abused and because they are uneducated, they don't understand why and so their anger is misdirected. It wasn't too long ago before BIPoC were in the same position.. my ancestors likely would have been in the same position these people are, if not for the Great Migration.. my GGM had her home burned down by the Klan and she fled NC to NY for that reason and used to clean houses for Jews and Italians up here.

This is the same story of all Black people who fled the South as well.

So I get it, and honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if this led to another northbound migration under Trump. I mean the number of highly educated people out there so angry that they miss this simple point and still don't see the problem is embarrassing.. but then again, maybe they are still angry and emotional about the election and that might be clouding their judgment too.

The fact that 54% of adults in this country are illiterate is a major factor too they cannot read above 6th grade level. And as I have said before, of that 54% 15% can't read above 3rd grade level. I don't think these people are stupid, they are the victims of their states and political leaders intentionally miseducating and abusing them. The states that went for Trump are the most religious, and least educated in the union.. and they are circling the drain on every other important metric out there as well. These voters said that Harris had no policy, but the truth is that they likely couldn't read it let alone understand it. I speak both English and Spanish, but if you put something written in Greek in front of me, I won't know how to read it either.. this is what is at the heart of this issue. Education is a human right, but red states treat it as a privilege. These people dont even realize that the so called elite that they are so against, are the ones they keep voting into office.

I think that these people, much like those kids who feel left behind and were radicalized and misinformed can be reached.. and probably sooner since many of them didn't know anything about what they were voting for other than Trump promising to fix everything. They seem to have voters remorse now.

Another issue is that it seems that white women are now waking up to the fact that they really don't mean shit to their men either. Which is sad, but is something we knew from the get go. African leaders rode into battle with their wives so that she didn't fall prey to the monsters. The same was true with the American Indigenous as well.. but white women weren't much more than a broodmare and a means to an end for White Supremacy and as a woman, I feel bad for them too. The fact that a caveman is always depicted as a white man dragging "his" unconcious woman by her hair and carrying a club is telling.. and the way they ran their households in past and present times and how they are acting now since Trump won is no different. White men have always hated their women and now the women are finally realizing that.

As I have been saying, yes, it sucks that Harris lost, but there is a lot to learn from this election, and the bottom line here, is that there is a bunch we can do to fight back, and to counter the GOP's media ecosystem, but first we should start with reaching out to those who were misinformed, and show compassion to those exploited and given the voters remorse on that side since this election, I am willing to bet that it might be happening soon.. either way its worth a shot.

But BIPoC people are tired. Every election white people vote for their own interests and say fuck everybody else and then turn around and expect us to rescue the country, clean it up, coddle you while doing so and then you claim to stand with us, but stab us in the back yet again and then go about your happy white life. Case in point, Susan B. Anthony and the suffragettes successfully campaigned against voting rights for Black people in the South, after getting theirs secured in the North. White people have always been fairweather allies and we are done. We put our blood, sweat, tears and love into this country and will band together with our allies and we have as shown by the voter data.. but if we really want a serious chance at fixing this, then you will have to reach out to your peers and help them. But before you can do that white people as a whole will have to decide as individuals which is more important..

Clinging on to the myth and cult of white superiority for the sake of your ego.. or shedding it, being completely honest with yourself about who you are as a people and learning the brutal, unvarished and painful truth and then joining forces with everyone else to fight back. By learning, you will have facts to counter the bullshit coming from your Trump supporting peers.. I say this because it is only until y'all show everyone else that you are serious as an ally and talk to your people before we can trust you enough to join forces with you. I am willing to bet that many of the women who voted for Trump, were also at the pink hat rally during his inauguration and even then, he got even more support from them in 2020, just as they will be in 2025. If white Harris supporters reached out to those in their families and showed them why this was bad and educated them, then maybe they can bring them over to our side. (insert old timey vinegar/honey metaphor here..)

White people and white women especially, have never been as trustworthy as allies, and always wanted to have it both ways as comedian Bill Burr has beautifully said himself.. they were ok with sitting next to them in privilege while they decimated everyone else, until they wanted more power and then co-opted the movements of the marginalized to make it all about themselves when they wanted to escape accountability.. so narcissism is absolutely a factor here too. As I said in my first response, I don't have as much smoke for white people as I did in 2016. But the fact remains that y'all have betrayed us again and again and then expected us to clean up your mess as an electorate.

We are doing all we can, but y'all still make up the overwhelming majority of the electorate. Even if we got those 14% of Black people who supported Trump, it is still not enough.. we know exactly who the 14% of those who went for Trump are. They were those who internalized the racism which caused their self-hate.. this was passed down too because some of our ancestors took out their frustration with racism on their families behind closed doors. This is what creates the Candace Owens types who believe that they'll be accepted by white people if they hate the same people and repeat their rhetoric. In other words, Harriet Tubman would have shot these people.. but still, even if Harris had gotten 100% of Black people, is still about 15% of the population.. and if you added all of the marginalized groups together, it still isn't enough.

Luckily our ancestors have left a library of materials and strategies for you to read to educate yourself and learn how to fight back, since it is exactly what we have been doing since the beginning, and we are still doing it today. And now, its even worse because the poor downtrodden white people who elected him, will be the ones preyed on by him and his wealthy donors the most. It is bad enough that some of these poor people traffick their children to make ends meet, just as y'all did during the Great Depression. White women finding out that they don't mean shit to their men is rough, and while it is new to them, but it has never been new to us.

In a nutshell, if we are going to have a shot at turning this around, white people will need to reach out to their peers who voted this way and explain how badly it will affect them. This will need to be done in addition to fixing the other shit that went wrong.. there is simply no way around this.

My guess offhand w/out knowing anything else?

A bunch of borscht-eating, vodka-drinking Russians are trying to seriously fucking interfere in the post-election process; I honestly doubt its' a lone individual and the incoming adminstration has enough shit to deal with; remember, despite the supposed friendship btwn Trump and Putin during his first administration, the Russians were still trying to gin things up....

This comment sounds as if its coming from a Kamala/ Democrat. You guys need to cheer up lmao

If it is OK to hate Jews based on their race/religion..... why get upset when another group of people is added to the list?
