Trump is way off the brain any functioning person with a brain. His ego far exceeds his intelligence and rationality. I really believe this whacko would do something like this. When he fails, he throws all that worked for him under the bus. Maybe Trump should be exiled to an island devoid of any human life for even thinking up this rubber room idea.

As much as I slagged Trump (I didn't vote for him in either 2016 or 2020), I can at least remember things were a helluva lot better under him than at anytime under the past three years.

You can dismiss each event as meaning nothing if they were isolated but it is the pattern of falling, slurring words, reaching out to shake hands when no one is there to shake it, appearing lost and disoriented as to where he should go, and saying things that don't make any coherent sense time and time again that give people reason to believe he is mentally deficient and should not be president. I would also add his repeated times he claimed to not actually be in charge is telling and suggests he is accidentally pointing out that there are people who aren't Joe Biden given out orders in the white house which shouldn't be. He is surrounded by people covering for him and it would be rather frightening if there came a point where he was without these handlers and had to actually make decisions or give out orders on his own and be unable to during a crisis.
