Off Topix is a well established general discussion forum that originally opened to the public way back in 2009! We provide a laid back atmosphere and our members are down to earth. We have a ton of content and fresh stuff is constantly being added. We cover all sorts of topics, so there's bound to be something inside to pique your interest. We welcome anyone and everyone to register & become a member of our awesome community.

Do you enjoy digging through the Webarchive?

I have been collecting Gifs and other cool junk from old profiles just for fun:

So much nostalgia there, lol, you're just missing that avatar everyone used to have of the yin-yang sign animated in 3-d where the dots went through the holes...I need to look that up and see if I can find it. It was EVERYWHERE, lol.

The more I dig, the more I realize that the untold tragedy of losing so many sites is that they rob all their members of the chance to go back and see who they were back then... what videogames and TV shows they liked, what music they were into, etc.

And it's so backwards... we were essentially the first generation to have access to "time travel", and yet we destroyed that without a second thought.

Yep, absolutely true. We need to preserve sites as much as possible or we're just going to lose everything.

It's especially annoying when you realize that there's no real reason not to keep all of that up.

Yep. There need to be services that archive and protect data when sites are at risk or going under. It costs nothing to archive, we need to make it happen.
I'm pleased to announce that I managed to secure a database by pleading directly with the owner.

Ooooh! I remember those!

Stiil, nothing will ever fill the void left by ZB :(

One of my forums was actually going to go with MyBB before the closing announcement hit unexpectedly. Thank God someone was paying attention.

I miss the culture, too.

I thought it had shutdown entirely, not that it was stuck in the same hell as the PaleMoon browser...

I swear... they had that sign up til 2013. At least.
